We celebrated our first anniversary and Valentine’s Day at Golden Bowl 🏕️ ❤️, and it was fantastic. Kristina was very helpful and kind. Despite the rain during the weekend we stayed, it made our experience even more romantic. The location is very private, the tent is cozy and comfortable, and the view from the outdoor kitchen is stunning. Kristina gifted us a bucket of roses for our anniversary, which was a very thoughtful gesture. 💐 🍒 Thank you for your warm hospitality and support.

Campsite was great! Yurt was very secluded and in a beautiful location. Bedding was fresh and clean and very comfy with the cold weather and rain. Kitchen was convenient and had a great fire pit. Kristina was very helpful, even providing us pots and pans that we had forgotten. Highly recommend if you are looking for an adventurous getaway.

Even though the temps were a bit chilly at night, we stayed warm and comfortable! Kristina's communication was excellent and everything was as it was described. We ended up just getting dinner in town since it's so close and direct more time exploring the area.

Basic glamping great price

The golden bowl was perfect for my partner and I. Due to daylight savings time, we never met the host, but they were super accommodating and lovely to message with. Kind size bed was comfy. Blankets were super warm, so no heater was needed (there is not electricity). This spot is closer to camping with luxuring than glamping with all the extras. We didn't use the outdoor kitchen area but imagine it is super useful. My rav4 had no problem getting down the hill to our tent. This tent seems much more secluded than the other two on this property, so that's good to know for other potential people staying! We so sorry appreciate an affordable place to sleep, as everyone does not have $$$ that is trying to travel. Location was great to get to willits, the coast, and we stopped at orr hot springs on our way there - all within a reasonable distance for folks like us who are used to driving to get anywhere! I didn't bring my dog but always appreciate pet friendly spots :) I would come back!

Kristina was great with communication before she dried by to show me where everything was after I arrived. The sure has an excellent tent and bed setup.. way more than I expected. And the patio and grill/stove setup just made it a very comfy time.

A DREAM stay!

Kristina has created such a DREAM stay in the most beautiful little rural carve out. The tent was super high quality. Everything was super clean and so thoughtfully constructed. The bed was probably one of the most comfortable beds i've ever stayed in while traveling in hotels - including my own. I really enjoyed the outdoor kitchen and Kristina was such a gracious and helpful hostess. My schedule was flexible and she was super accommodating. 10/10 would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a fairy tale escape.

Chill Camping :)

Weekend Getaway!

Staying at Golden Bowl is a lovely way to get out of the city and disconnecting from electricity for a weekend. You can see the stars without all the light pollution it was beautiful. Had a lovely romantic night by the campfire. And our favorite part is spending time in the kitchen area making meals and enjoying the fire! Kristina was great being there when we arrived to show us around. She even helped getting wood for the fireplace. The tent was decorated lovely and really felt outdoorsy.

Wonderful place to camp in Willits. Kristina was very friendly and greeted me with a vase of flowers :) Golden Bowl site was private and well away from the other 2 sites, which were close together near the road. The tent was amazing, clean and felt very welcoming the moment I entered. I loved the star lights above the bed. There was the newly built deck nearby with a kitchen set up, with provided dishes, soap, sponges as well as a propane barbecue and camp stove. A great place to dance beneath the stars with your loved one. The compost bathroom was a bit of a challenge for someone like me with a bad knee. But loved the idea of a potty tree. ( Be sure to bring your own TP) The late afternoon sun did light up the hillside beautifully in a golden aura and the night sky was wondrous. I would stay here again and am happy with my stay and the memories of days well spent. Thank you Kristina :)

Beautiful location in rolling hills and with a view of the forest. So much attention to detail with the accommodation! Had a long couch that my 100 lb Great Pyrenees took a liking to immediately. Nice and open, with some chairs and a fire pit out front of the tent to relax. There was a camp burner with a water kettle and a sink with potable water. Christine was a wonderfully communicative host. Would come here over and over again! Coming from Oakland it was a 2.5 hour drive, a perfect amount to feel like you’re away but not so much that you’re exhausted and need double the time to recover from

Overall had a great experience. The tent was very clean and very nicely decorated. Instructions to get to the site were very clear. The only complaint I had about the site was the restroom situation was.. interesting and definitely a bit more difficult as a girl with knee problems.

Secluded little campsite

Although we couldn’t stay at Christine camp because I forgot my medications a the previous stay during my trip which prompted me to go back. Christine tent look really comfortable, and the placed well kept. The communication with Christine is fast and she will go the extra mile if she needs to make sure your stay and her placed is of your liking.

Gorgeous, cozy stay

Star View is a beautifully appointed tent that makes for a relaxing stop. My little dog and I stayed dry and cozy during a cold rainy night. In the morning, we enjoyed some snuggles in the comfortable couch before packing up and moving on. Ariana Acres is a lovely forest getaway, and we will definitely stay here again next time we are in the area. Christine is truly a gem. We had a lovely chat over cocoa, and I appreciate her sharing her land & her spirit with us!

Pros: - Can't beat the price! - Cute little gazebo bedroom with screens that zip/unzip on each side, "blackout" fabric that can be pulled back or let down on each side, and a comfy bed made up with love. - The night sky is dripping with stars! - Site is easy to navigate to (all paved roads) - Cell phone reception - Host responds quickly THINGS TO CONSIDER: - Bringing (TP just in case) - If you need to tinkle, you are doing it outside kind of wherever - Bringing earplugs - folks (neighbors? other guests?) were talking and a dog was barking late into the night - Manually typing the address into Google Maps instead of using the link in the hipcamp app

The Golden Bowl was absolutely beautiful! An incredible tent fully equipped. It also had a deck with a fire pit and kitchen counter that was added new. Compared to the camping options this is cheap and definitely worth the stay. A very cool experience to be glamping! Christine was a great host, incredibly kind and helpful to us. Thank you so much for our amazing stay!

Camping w/o pitching a tent

I was looking for a place that embodied the spirit of camping more than glamping, and this was exactly what I wanted. While I didn't have to pitch my own tent and bring my own bedding because there is a large tent with a very comfortable king-sized bed and clean, soft comforters. I was spoiled in that aspect, as well as having access to a flat top, camping stove, a fire pit with plenty of wood, an outdoor counter, and a handwashing station. The camping part: this location has no running water (as of now), electricity, and uses a bucket and composting system for waste. While you don't have to bring your own water, as the host will have plenty of gallon-sized bottles filled with potable water, it doesn't hurt to bring your own drinking water. There is a private dirt pathway down the hill to your tent for parking; AWD recommended. Or you can park 150ft up the hill with 2-wheel drive. The tent is located in the lower section of the property and is secluded enough from others. At night, it's so serene as all you hear are the nighttime band of insects, hooting owls, and other night critters that may be about. In the tent, there's a clear window where you can stare into the night sky, and if you're lucky and it's a clear sky, you can get hypnotized by the stars as you fall asleep. Super dog-friendly too! The host is super awesome too! Great at communications and super accommodating. Highly Recommend!

Solid cheap coastal spot

A great spot for a single person to get a comfy bed to sleep in. There is plenty of space for two but I was happy it was just me and my dog. Compost bucket was easy to use. Be wary of hipcamp’s poor address capabilities and just type in the physical address, or you’ll be sent in the wrong direction. It has happened to me once before, so I do not blame the host. The app needs to fix their issues.

The starview tent was great! It was a great place to stop on our way to fort Bragg. It was cute and we didn't have to say anything up. I would just bring a lighter and a small propane tank if you plan on cooking anything on their barbecue. The bathrooms at the RV park are nice, and we stopped to see the Sea Biscuit museum before heading out.

Comfy Glampsite in Misty Forrest

WAY cool. Gorgeous property and drive up to property in misty forrest. Easy, flexible check-in with clear instructions. Bed was soooo comfy—with great natural AC of Northern California Forrest! probably comfiest glamping experience my husband and I had on our road trip. Responsive, helpful host. Great price!
