Nice little site, beware the burs!
Nice little farm property with convenient amenities like a port a potty, outdoor shower, and firewood purchasable on-site.
We were immediately greeted and given a short tour when we arrived, which was great.
This site has a fire ring and a picnic table, and was pretty spacious. It was close enough to 2 other sites that you could overhear a loud conversation, and not a lot of visual privacy, so mileage will vary based on the quality of the other campers around you (my neighbors were great, though!). No shade at all on this particular site, so as the host suggests, make sure to bring your own during the hotter months.
Some nice views of the surrounding mountains (though the site is at a low elevation and surrounded by hills, so I wouldn't factor this in too heavily).
Beware the burs though - I don't blame the hosts for this, as it's just kind of what you're signing up for in this kind of terrain. The property is all flattened desert brush (imagine 90% dirt, 10% dead grass and weeds), and unfortunately that comes with a billion little burs no matter where you go. As a human, you might not even notice at all, but I was camping with a long-haired dog (Golden Retriever), and I spent multiple hours of my visit combing burs out of her fur (we just couldn't avoid them - eventually had to just tarp off a patch of ground and keep her there, which felt bad).
