The radest place! I only planned to stay in the skoolie bus one night before hiking in the grand canyon but ended up staying 2 nights and am so thankful💚 the bus has a heater!! When it came time to leave I absolutely did not want to. I loved staying in the bus so much. not only was it extremely cozy and adorable, I felt safe and at home. The sunsets were absolutely beautiful, the community areas were pretty incredibly crafted together, and the animals were so freaking cool! This would be a great place to meet other travelers, spend some days to yourself, or bring your best friends. The setup of the area was absolutely perfect. I will most definitely be coming back <3

My girlfriend and I had so much fun here. Wish we could have stayed longer. The co-host, mike, was so much fun to have around. Loved all the critters on the farm.

It was so nice staying in the school bus. Its beautifully set up with so much attention to detail. We also got to meet a bunch of friendly farm animals. The kitchen is very easy to use, and all cookware is provided. The only improvement I could think of would be clearer signs to get there, but we showed up at night so that made it a little bit more confusing. Overall it was amazing and I will definitely stay there again if I'm back in the area.

Wonderful little resort! The bus was so cute and cozy. The host and his animals were very friendly. I would absolutely stay again. I recommend getting familiar with the camp before dark (it was difficult finding the community fire pit and outhouse in the dark).

We had such an incredible time at the Nest ! everything was so cozy and cute, we were sad to go :,) . The area was so peaceful and beautiful, and the stars were breathtaking at night. We really appreciate the host taking the time to make sure we had everything we needed around the campsite so we didn’t have to bother anyone. Getting to the site was definitely a little confusing at first, but once you figure out the route it was a piece of cake. Everything was perfect, I hope we get to see our bus again someday !

Great place with everything that you’ll need!! Love the community kitchen (with organic eggs for breakfast) and the animals there. Would totally come back 10/10

Glamping at it's finest.
The roads are a bit much. I will say that.
However, I had a Jeep Wrangler so I LOVED it.
If you have a smaller car you might have problems.
There's everything you need. Pool table, darts,
horse shoes.
The pyramid tent was comfortable.
Buddy the dog did visit us in the morning but he's
friendly.
Group fire pit was a blast playing music and hanging
out with other campers.
BIG TIP: Make sure you buy what you need long before
you go to the camp. The only store/gas station up the
street GAUGE you. So expensive for EVERYTHING
food related. I think it would be good if you were just
grabbing some beer.

This far exceeded our expectations! Shane has an amazing setup that makes you feel far away from the real world. The vintage trailer with it’s own outhouse and fire pit was perfect to celebrate our 20th anniversary. The Nest rocks!

absolutely great time with shane, really friendly and great amenities. Really cute camper with so many features and details such as the buddy heater and solar powered outlets in the camper. Sheets and bedding was clean, communal fire, kitchen, and showers were amazing. Had a great time hanging out with mike and shane around the fire after a long day of hiking, great guys.

We absolutely loved our stay here! Shane was a great host and ready to help us with anything. We made good friends in here and our 6 years old had a great time sleeping in a School bus, playing around and feeding the animals. Junior the cat and Buddy the dog became his best friends. Make sure you take time to make an omelet from the farm eggs available to the guests, it’s tasty! We definitely recommend this place if you enjoy the outdoors!

DO NOT GET HERE AT NIGHT! This place is so freaking amazing to spend a night camping at. There are so many amenities and Eric and Diana are extremely welcoming and responsive. I wasn’t sure where we were supposed to camp since we got to the place after sunset and Eric was kind enough to come over and point us in the right direction. I wish I had something to leave behind for future campers. There is a shower that has warm water in an indoor tent that is fantastic, as well as fresh eggs that you can help yourself too. I could go on but it’s an experience you have to live yourself to understand.

It was great staying at the camp, really quiet and peaceful. We arrived pretty late after so just went to bed pretty much as soon as we got there. It got down to 25 degrees but we were warm enough with all the sleeping bags provided. We had fresh eggs in the morning and a good conversation with Eric and Shane, friendly intelligent guys.

This place was such a find! We were just looking for a tent site and the price was competitive. I had no idea it was an eclectic artsy camp with awesome camper/bus options, a community kitchen with fresh local eggs, and even a hot shower (too bad we didn’t bring towels!).
The farm animals were adorable and friendly and our host checked in to make sure we had everything we needed.

SO WONDERFUL! I loved staying in the bus in the Nest!! Such a fun, quirky, but charming stay. Comfortable, peaceful, secluded, yet right next to some adorable ponies and llamas (or alpacas??) that were so friendly. I loved this area. It can be super tricky to navigate here in the dark, so definitely recommend getting here in the daylight! But other than that, the host (Eric) was super helpful. Would very much recommend!

Wow! Eric and Diana host an incredible campground with everything you'd need. Beautiful setting for a great price and only 45 minutes away from the Grand Canyon. I highly recommend staying here!

Our stay was great! Location is pretty secluded and requires about a 10 min drive over rocky unpaved back roads -- so be prepared for that. We were able to make it in a small 2 wheel drive lancer. But if it had recently rained and the roads were muddy, we would have had some difficulties. Inside the bus are your bare necessities: bed, some complimentary water, small sink. You're staying in bus after all. However, we enjoyed our stay. Thanks again!

This camping experience is for a very particular type of adventurer. Think: traveling into the Australian outback. You HAVE to have a sturdy vehicle, best with 4-wheel something. It is not a road. It is a dirt/rock/pothole trail. The site is very quirky, quite raw but very playfully decorated. Strung lighting here and there. Very raw do it yourself communal 'kitchen'. We stayed in the purple camper fo 2 nights. Sort of set up for hippy-community engagement. Seems to be a work in progress. Only one other couple the second night. A bit creepy way out there in the middle of nowhere. At night. Beautiful stars.

What a great place. For our sons 6th birthday we had a wonderlust birthday at the nest! We invited friends to stay at some of the other campsites we had the school bus, the campfire, the retro wagon, and the pyramid. It was so much fun cooking over fire and visiting the animals. The kids had a blast and it was so easy and fun! We went to the lave tubes and then went to go see the dinosaur tracks in tuba city. Amazing trip and full of adventure and excitement! Four wheel drive would be helpful the roads are a pretty bumpy coming in. But we made it with our minivan.

Loved this place.......... very interesting layout. If you book here, drive in with a AWD or 4x4. We went during monsoon season and the roads became mudpits. Shane is the owner and he was able to give us information of the surrounding area........mainly the Grand Canyon. My children loved playing here.......... seesaw, pool table, cornhole, darts, volleyball, and hammock. I would recommend booking a stay here!

We had an enjoyable stay in the pyramid at the Nest. Eric & Diana we’re good with communication, they met with us soon after we arrived, and were even there the next morning painting rocks with the kids. My two year old loved feeding carrots to the animals. We used the outdoor shower and the kitchen. We greatly appreciated the fresh organic fruit. Inside of the tent was clean, although the dust (which is unavoidable) did cause some of my asthmatic issues. It was very warm in there in June, but we were able to sleep. Overall, it was a really great experience. I would stay at the Nest again, maybe trying one of their other places to sleep.

Talk about an amazing experience! I absolutely loved staying in the retro wagon at the Nest! From the retro accommodations, to the friendly animals and hosts, I'll definitely do it again! Thank you to Eric, Diana, and Shane! Oh and thanks to Roger the rooster for waking me up on time. 😁

The campsite was great! Eric was extremely helpful and extremely welcoming. The tent was great and slept 4 of us comfortably. Beyond the tent the campsite was amazing, with nice showers, and a kitchen with about everything you could need. It was very obvious they put alot of care and love into the place and it shows! Would 100% recommend this to anyone!

Such a beautiful, off the grid place to stay. The view of the stars at night was breathtaking. All the animals were so cute and friendly. Eric was a great host.
There is so much to do. There is a pool table, darts, horseshoes, badminton, cornhole, and more.
The outhouse, the kitchenette, and the outdoor showers are amazing. Such a fun experience! It’s definitely a must stay on the way to the Grand Canyon.

Staying here was a wonderful experience. The camper is adorable with plenty of space inside and a comfortable bed. The temperature at night was nice and cool with a breeze, so it was not difficult to fall asleep there in July. The hosts are lovely and friendly, and there is plenty of privacy near the camper. The outdoor shower is dreamy! The shower head is made from a watering can! So cute. The common space is lovely, too. Would absolutely stay here again!

Wow! What a surprise. We did a last minute booking to just try it and loved every minute of it. You have to read their description because it may not be for you. It’s off grid so don’t expect all the comforts you are used to. Dust, sun, communal living at its best. It’s def not for a one night thing - you must stay for a week- for the donkey, llama, alpaca, and the rooster. Fire pits are there, hammocks, billiard table, darts, and more. I wish we could stay longer. I had my 2yo, and 7yo and they both enjoyed the stay. They loved the animals, they met friends, and we even did rock paintings in the morning. Added plus is the amazing and fabulous hosts. First booking on hip camp and I am hooked.

I love this little community they're building here! Eric was very welcoming and kind. He asked my kids to "help" paint rocks for the community garden, and invited them to feed the other animals as well. They were thrilled! Roger the Rooster was a delightful breakfast companion (and, well, everything companion. He was very friendly and had the cutest little run when he was trying to catch up with us). We LOVED the outdoor shower too (turn it on slowly!). The kitchen had everything we needed to make breakfast and coffee and the local eggs were delicious. The road was as bumpy as advertised but very passable in June and the detour was easy to find (we tried going up the Dewey hill too and while we did make it up in our Kia Sportage withOUT four wheel drive, we just about bumped our heads on the roof of the car!). We would love to stay again and try one of the other unique shelters too!
