The host was great! I arrived at night, and someone noticed that I took a wrong turn at the gate. Samuel was right on it and found me and led me to the correct campground. Samuel definitely has paid attention to detail so that everything is just what a camper could need. Bathroom facilities were nice. I cycled around the farm one morning and was around to see the water buffalo moved to fresh pasture. Beautiful location. I will definitely be back.

This was our third time in the primitive camping area and we absolutely love it! It’s quiet and a beautiful part of the Deep South! We had perfect weather and Sam helped us out with some ant killer since we forgot ours. He’s been doing lots of great work improving the grounds every day and the fresh chicken eggs were delicious with the breakfast we made. I / we will definitely be back!

Very quiet and peaceful. Loved the running water and electricity hookup as well as the bathroom nearby with toilet paper and a nice sink. Did not try the shower because the large spiders and webs inside. The grounds are expansive, pretty and charming with chickens and some livestock. We were at site 7 and had some room to spread a little because site 6 was empty. We did not realize sites 6 and 7 do not have a view of the pond nearby and is right next to the owner’s trailer. So if privacy is important to you may not be for you. The ground also seemed to have a chicken coop there recently and there was a lot of poop on the ground that we avoided when setting up camp. The coyotes are very, very vocal at night and I had a very hard time sleeping. The owner was very nice with good communication and the firewood and fresh chicken eggs were a great touch.

Everything was awesome. Beautiful RV site made better by the fact we were the only ones in the Piney Campground. Amenities, if needed, are nice and clean. Highly recommend!

Beautiful property. If you like a quiet natural setting, this is your place. Very secluded and natural. Nice pond, wildlife, chickens, ducks, mules, Water Buffalo, yep, Water Buffalo, how unusual is that! Samuel is responsive yet unobtrusive.

It was a pleasure staying here. Everything was easy to navigate, and parking was convenient. The Wi-Fi was okay—usually around two bars. The pond was a nice touch and within walking distance, and the clear skies made the experience even better.

We loved our stay! This is such a great campsite. We had the best neighbors and even better views! Our dogs enjoyed roaming the property and there was everything we needed and more. The host, Sam, was super accommodating and even drove out to us to guide us to camp when we got there later on our arrival! This location is perfectly center between Opelika and Columbus, so we enjoyed visiting both.

I stayed here for a few weeks and would HIGHLY recommend it! It was very peaceful, quiet, and beautiful. The only downside is the shower (it’s outside, and the hot water runs out quick). Samuel is a fantastic host and was very quick to respond if I ever needed anything.

This place is very peaceful and quiet. There is not much light, so the stars are stunning. There is an outdoor shower and bathroom with hot water. The road to get there is all grass but smooth if you go slow. We only stayed for one night. They do allow pets off leash which is nice!

It was absolutely perfect, from start to finish. Well, the finish sucked because we had to leave. We pitched our tent next to the pond, had a shaded seating area next to our fire pit. Bathroom and shower were a short walk. Fishing was peaceful and the jon boat was super fun to go out on and fish. Super quiet. Plenty of firewood, FREE. Early check in and late check out was lovely. We didnt feel rushed at all. If you forget anything (like leaving your day 1 dinner in your refrigerator at home), there is a small grocery store as well as a dollar general within 5 minutes. All around an awesome camp site! I want to go back, SOON! thank you for sharing your piece of tranquility with us!

I loved tenting at this location its beautiful and quiet. No one bothers you no loud music the view of the pond is relaxing we have been here a week already and plan to stay longer. Sam is amazing and helped me with anything I needed and response is fast.

We loved tent camping on Samuel’s land. It was beautiful, peaceful and quiet. He’s has everything you need (water, electrical hookups, shower, toilet and sink). Definitely recommend if you are looking for a quick getaway!
