We are conveniently located 15 miles north of Birmingham AL and 2 miles off of Interstate 65. Our property is approx 21 acres of beautiful hardwoods and pine trees. The front 7 acres is a mixture of open and shaded areas. The back 14 acres consists of trails and roads you can explore. You won’t have any problems finding a place to hang a hammock and relax. There is always wildlife on the property. Come relax and enjoy the land for a few days or come sleep overnight in a safe environment.You won’t feel more safe anywhere else. Come by yourself or bring a group. Our property is over 21 acres of open fields and wooded land with a mixture of pine and hardwoods. We have several sites to chose from. Each site is set up with a fireplace and table. Our pole barn has some dim lighting at it and a swing that you can kick back in and enjoy the sounds of crickets and frogs.  Open trails will get you to any part of the property by either walking, biking or vehicle. Located just minutes from Publix, Walmart, Target, fast food, and dine in restaurants in the City’s of Gardendale and Fultondale AL. Also just 20 minutes North of Downtown Birmingham. Site #1 - RV/vehicle/tent. Site #2 - RV/vehicle/tent. Site #3 - Vehicle/tent. Site #4 (The Deer Feeder) vehicle/tent. Site #5 - vehicle/tent. Campfires, hammocks, and pets, are allowed on all sites. All sites are larger than campground sites and are spaced out a good bit from each other for privacy. Feel free to let us know the details of your stay upon booking so we can reserve the site that will fit you best. Or if you have already picked out a site from the photos let us know which one you want. According to our campers: “there are tons of birds here” “the 5G is better here than our home” “Verizon service is perfect” “the trails are great for children and dogs” “the no leash policy is fantastic!!” “I feel safe here” So come on out and try us out. We’ve been traveling for about a month and this is by far the BEST site we’ve stayed at yet. The grounds are gorgeous, the sites are very well maintained and spaced out perfectly for plenty of privacy. Jimmy was awesome and super welcoming. We will definitely be back on future adventures!!

So I love this spot. Host is friendly and cordial. The site was nice, clean, and not crowded. I wanted a forest feel and that’s what I got. Perfect! My son asked if we can do it again next weekend. 😆

First, Jimmy was there to greet me and show me around his beautiful property. It is at the end of a very quiet street in a very quiet neighbourhood. My van was in an open area with plenty of space for dispersed camping. My pup and I took a short walk through the wooded area surrounding the main camping field. It was such a perfect setting. This was just an overnight for me but I hope to be back and spend a few days. A great place to kick back and relax. Charming and generous hosts.

Argo’s was great! So peaceful, close to river and lake access, National Forest all around, and plenty of space on site to have our private site! The sunrises were gorgeous and the openings through the tree tops were a gateway view to the moon and stars! Close to has stations and grocery stores but felt far from civilization! Highly recommend!

A Good Time at Argo's.

First of all, Jimmy is a wonderful host. He and his family were very welcoming to me. I was able to share in a family birthday party and watch some football outside around their campfire. They went out of their way to make it a pleasant visit. Besides this it is a lovely property with lots of room to move around.

This was my first stay at any Hipcamp site and it was great! The Host Jimmy was very friendly and welcoming when messaging me with details about my stay. The property was conveniently located. It was quiet and peaceful with plenty of campsites and space. I would definitely recommend this spot and will be using again on any upcoming roadtrip adventures. Big Thank you to Jimmy for having us

I absolutely loved it. It was my first time using Hipcamp and jimmy made it go very smooth.It was amazing. The view and the trails are to die for if I come back this was I will most definitely book here again.

A peaceful getaway

This location is a great spot! Very quiet and peaceful. Beautiful scenery and a very accommodating host! We liked it so much that we stayed an additional night. I would highly recommend stopping here for a night or more if you’re passing through the Birmingham area in Alabama. We will certainly be back! 👍🏻

Solitude, we saw pheasants, deer and green. We heard nature. We "had to share" the 22 acre Campground with one tent. Unfortunately it was too hot to explore the trails, so we will have to come back. We needed help with something and Jimmy had it organized in no time at all. Altogether: a definit recommandation

We had a great time staying overnight on Jimmy’s land. Jimmy was very responsive and friendly when we asked to fill our water tank. Location is awesome. You are close to shopping and restaurants, but it is nice and secluded for a quiet night of camping. We would definitely stay here again.

My daughter and I stayed for just one night, and it was exactly what we needed—peaceful, quiet, and surrounded by nature. There were tons of spots to choose from, which I loved. I would’ve picked something deeper in the woods, but my daughter was a little nervous to go too far back. We got in right before dark and had to head out early, plus it rained, so we didn’t get to explore as much as we wanted—but we’d definitely come back! I really appreciated the little cabinet stocked with extras—such a thoughtful touch in case you forget something. We were the only ones there during our stay, and it made the experience feel even more serene. Can’t wait to return and enjoy it more fully next time!

Excellent camp site. We were traveling from Texas to Georgia and stopped on the way to camp out with our dogs. Everything was nice and clean and the porta potty was a plus.

I loved the water that provided sounds of frogs and birds. There was plenty of open space and awesome trails to explore. We were very grateful for the supply cabinet with water, privacy tents, chairs and firewood! The area was extremely peaceful. Was able to take a nice cold shower as well.

Sweet Camp Alabama, go frogs!

The instructions were clear and easy to follow. We were pleased that the property was at the end of a dead end road. We stayed at site #1, right beside the barn. We greatly appreciated the jugs of water, citronella candles, and furniture at the barn. There is a shallow pond nearby; so bugs and frogs. The area is well maintained.

We were on a roadtrip from Nashville to New Orleans and we couldn’t have wished for a better pitstop than at Jimmy’s land in Mount Olive! We have an autonomous converted van and happened to be the only campers on site; it was very easy to get to the location, which was beautiful and very peaceful—we had a great night sleep! Jimmy was a perfect host, very responsive and accommodating to our last minute request, and he made us feel very welcome. We highly recommend <3
