level lot and close to town! If you come try to aim for days the brewery is open as it looked very fun but was closed when we visited! Pretty Muddy back-in if you are planning to camp within a day or two of rain, but n o problems accessing!

Owners were super nice and friendly. Had fire wood waiting for me and it was great to just walk up to the bar and order dinner. When we arrived it was a bit dead due to a festival but we’ll definitely be keeping an eye out for their events and will be back.

Great Experience

Our stay started when were greeted by an amazingly friendly staff member. It had been a long day of traveling so our pup was ready to get out and stretch his legs, and they are super dog-friendly. The space was clean and quiet. I would recommend staying here to anyone and I would personally stay here again.

Got there Sunday night. This brewery is nestled in a comercial area. I got there 30 min. before the brewery closed and they still served me a couple of their home brews and flatbread/pizza!!! Only has 120v & 50a set up. So if you have a 30a, bring a 50a to 30a dogbone. There is some type of gravel/sand company with heavy equipment next door. I had my A/C on, so the noise wasn't a factor for me when they started Monday morning. Kroger grocery 3 blocks away. Quiet area, felt safe, had a great sleep!!

Chuck was a great host. The brewery is next door to the camp site with games, bathrooms and live music (on specific nights). There’s a clean pit toilet too for after hours. The site has electric hook up and easy to back up to. Thanks for the hospitality and great service!

Eclipse camping

We were camping there for the eclipse. Chuck, Scott, Jessica, and the rest of the crew hustled all weekend to make everything as good as it could be. There was entertainment all weekend starting with a presentation by the Adler planetarium from Chicago. There were a variety of campers there for the big event. Everything from tents to several types of RVs. From what I could tell, and the people I spoke to, everyone seemed to have a great time. I would definitely stay there again if we are in the area. They have a good selection of beer brewed right on premise as well.

Great time at the eclipse

We had a great time at Big Muddy Brewery tent camping for the eclipse! Chuck was always helpful and courteous. It was quiet and night and fun during the day. Entertainment and Beer were off the charts great! Nice grassy lawn for a tent, clean bathrooms.

Perfect eclipse event by the staff!

What an amazing event put on by Big Muddy Brewing and their amazing staff for the 2024-04-08 total solar eclipse! We had a tent spot conveniently located not far from the patio, the bar, and the W/C's. Two outdoor porta-potties were available all night that were kept stocked and clean and the staff was there early to open the brewery so that we could access the indoor washroom. Fresh, filtered water was available from an outdoor tap. For the four nights we stayed, there were either events or bands every evening that wrapped up around 10pm -- great entertainment. The flatbreads were yummy and the beer some of the best that I've ever had. Thanks to the Big Muddy Team for their tireless work, great attitude, the wonderful atmosphere, and for hosting this event!

I loved tent camping at Big Muddy Brewery! It was the absolute perfect place to take in totality during the 2024 solar eclipse! Highly recommend. Beer and food was also amazing!!

We had a great time camping for the total eclipse at Big Muddy Backyard. The site was just as described. There were public tables we could use. We brought a portable fire pit and had nice campfires near our tents. Chuck and crew were very accommodating and low-key. Recommend this as a stop, or a destination!

Tons of fun. Will be back in 21 years for the next eclipse. Friendly staff, great beer. Great music. We hoped that Pink Floyd cover band recovers from the auto accident. They were missed.

We had so much fun staying in the Big Muddy Backyard! The host was super friendly and attentive, as were all the staff. The area is really well spaced out, so we felt privacy but not lonely. We took a nice walk into town and also enjoyed hanging out with the other guests in the brewery. Would def stay again .

BEST Eclipse viewing spot, period!

This was a PERFECT site to camp out during the 2024 Eclipse! I booked at the last minute (literally) and could NOT believe they had openings. Chuck (Owner) was very friendly and welcoming; easy going; flexible and just a great host. Campers were SO friendly. They had heat lamps b/c it was chilly a few of the nights so that was perfect. Bands; nice patio; food; IPAs they make on tap; (hey, it's a brewery); Eclipse presentation; telescopes for viewing the sky prior to the eclipse; Eclipse hoodies; T's , mugs and other fun Eclipse items; a cute FREE van to take campers to other locations in the area; a food truck on the 'big day' and a reasonable rate especially for the eclipse and just the right amount of people! I can't thank Chuck enough for his hospitality. It was one of the best and most memorable times for me and I'll never forget it.

Easy camping and good beer

Chuck is a super nice guy who was very accommodating. Not sure if he plans on hosting this property as a campsite in the future or just a one off thing because of the solar eclipse, but I’d camp here again with a large group. Plenty of space, tucked away, and amenities inside the brewery were nice to have available (plus the never ending beer supply). Nice staff as well.

Chuck was very accommodating. We have a dog that doesn't get along great with others, and he let us set up on the edge of the property. You're on the property with the brewery, so you have access to the indoor facilities and the bar. What's not to like?

Tent camping here was great for the solar eclipse. Host was helpful and organized, grassy area worked well for our tent, and everyone was friendly. We were able to use the bathroom indoors at the brewery. A special experience made better with the positive environment.
