Hippie Campground is a fully enclosed, naturally maintained sanctuary located in the center of a homestead covering nearly 100 feet of elevation.
Mowed trails can take you from the campground into a gorgeous dark pine forest, or out to an open grass field for sun. Walk to the lower edge of the property to enjoy a walk through the endangered white walnut/butternut grove.
Other notable features include the Euchalnot Pass (an open channel between forests, and Sumac Ridge - another enclosed private walkable area at the top of the hillside. If you’re good at exploring, you’ll also find the Quiet Channel. Purposefully harder to get to, hundreds of feet of moss and ferns line the floor of a lane of black walnut trees.
