    The property is 17 acres of enchanted forestland with 300ft of Sandy River frontage. Both sides of the river are part of the Enchanted Forest There are a few walking paths and plenty of room to roam. Bring your paddle board or kayak to enjoy the river (Dependent on river level/current strength) The property is located within 2 miles from the Sandy Ridge Mountain bike trails and Barlow Wayside hiking trails. It's approximately 20 minutes to Government camp, ~ 35 minutes to Timberline for skiing and biking and an additional ~ 15 minutes to Mt. Hood Meadows. Approximately 50 min to PDX airport, and 1 hour to downtown Portland.

    Welcome to the Enchanted Forest cabin. This rustic cabin is approximately 4 minutes walking distance from the parking area which does include a small hill. There is a wheelbarrow to use as a shuttle for your belongings if needed. The parking area also includes the porto potty, washing station, potable water, and garbage disposal area. The cabin is on the Sandy river with a private sandy beach for enjoyment. The cabin is 12 x14 ft with a king size bed and fitted sheet. Inside is a small bistro table with two chairs. Outside there is a picnic table near the BBQ and 4 chairs to relax near the river. The cabin reservation includes the BBQ (with side burner) and propane for use to prepare meals. You can add "extras" to your reservation to customize the experience you want. Add ons include: propane fire pit (fuel included), wood for campfire (outside of fire ban season), bedding, or an indoor propane heater if it will be cold during your reservation. Fun fact: The drive way access from Marmot Rd to the parking spot is part of the original Oregon Trail and is preserved by the Bureau of Land Management. You can: Fish, kayak or paddle board on the river. Very private and exclusive river access.

    This riverside campsite has room for approximately 2 tents. Tent sites are about a 4-5 minute walk from the vehicle parking area and includes a small hill. The camping area is private but please note that there may be other guests in campsites that are approximately 150 feet apart.     We had a great time here! The private river access was amazing and the bed and cabin were so cozy. The propane grill was a huge plus. It was very secluded and private which was excellent. Definitely a weekend to remember. Thanks for letting us stay, Joshua!

    Easy to find but a hidden gem tucked away right off the rushing River. Be prepared to make a few trips to your spot with the provided wagon or pack light especially if you get spot b but the seclusion was worth it . Will hope to visit again

    Magical campsite! It’s very private and has an incredible view of the river. We booked Campsite B and felt tucked away in the trees. Joshua gave really great detailed instructions on how to get there and parking, potable water, and trash were all clearly marked. There’s definitely a bit of a hike to get your things to the site but SO worth it for the view and solitude. We can’t wait to come back and visit again!

    Gorgeous stay! The property is peaceful, quiet and so lush. Lots of signs with directions, easy access to the porta-potty, and a sink with potable water. The cabin is very cute and comfortable 🩷 we opted to get the extra bedding with pillows and it was totally worth it. The river access is lovely. We also enjoyed the picnic table, the fire pi,t and the little lamps available inside the cabin. We would love to come back with friends next time!

    My husband and I really enjoyed the two nights we stayed on the property. It is literally right on the river with huge trees and old forest surrounding the site. The tent sites are thoughtfully laid out along with two picnic tables and fire pit. The ability to purchase wood multiple times throughout the weekend was top and made for a much more enjoyable stay. The port-a-potty was clean and easily accessible. Pack light because having privacy and river access means you have to cart and hike your stuff. There is a cart to help you. It's not bad at all but halfway up I did start thinking about all the stuff I brought but didn't use. Perfect getaway at a pretty rad price- can't ask for more than that! Thank you for sharing your space with us and I hope to be back soon!

    This site is such a beautiful place! The cabin and site layout was thoughtfully designed while keeping to the simplicity of the natural space. Josh was easy to get a hold of, and the signage for parking and directions were super clear and helpful. We added firewood to our reservation, but there was more easily available via a QR code if we needed it, which was a comfort to know. The river is divine, and the whole thing is quite romantic. Definitely would come here again!

    The three of us and our dog loved camping at tent site B! There was plenty of space for our two tents, and more if needed. The campfire setup overlooking the river was so peaceful. Having the three wheelbarrow/wagons available was extremely helpful and made hauling our gear down the winding dirt trail a much smoother task. We stayed just one night for a Mother’s Day celebration but are excited to book again this summer for a family camping weekend. We never heard the campers down at the cabin site, so the spacing of sites was ideal for privacy while at the same time not being too far of a walk to the potable water and toilet.

    Artistic and secluded cabin right on the Sandy River. Deep nature beauty and peace an hour from Portland. Everything you need for comfort glamping. They even shared an extension cord to charge my CPAP battery.

    This was one of the best Hipcamps my friends and I have been to! Joshua was super helpful and brought our camping gear to our campsite for us, has Venmo codes up to purchase more wood during your stay and was super responsive to messages. Would 100% stay here again :)

    Great spot on the river! Your own private sandy beach. Our dog was in heaven. The room was very cozy with candle lighting and the bed was very comfy! Everything is well marked and clear instructions provided. Would love to return !

    We had a fantastic camping experience here. The location is ideal, right next to Sandy River. The host was incredibly helpful and provided detailed instructions about the campsite. The trail leading to the campsite is well-lit with automatic LED lights, making it convenient to navigate even at night. Additionally, the porta potty was clean and well-maintained.

    I stayed in the Cabin and although it was a rainy day, it was still a wonderful trip. The cabin is about a 2 minute walk from the parking area but a heavy duty wagon was available to take our stuff down to the cabin. I would recommend 2 people to use the wagon though with the hill. Paper towels and a garbage can were provided in the cabin as well as a fitted sheet on the bed. Outside, there was a BBQ and picnic table. River access is right next to the site and you can even bring the chairs from the fire pit down to beach area. Will definitely stay here again when it gets warmer!!

    Everyone who saw my pics HAD to know where I was! Small 1 room cabin kept warm with the propane heater they offer and my heated sleeping bag. Follow a short but a bit steep at one point trail down to your private river access. Take a camping potty to save yourself walking up to the very clean porta potty at the top of the path. Side note-the cart to bring yourself down is sturdy and fits a ton, and if you are like me and have to carry all your groceries in with one trip, you will overload it. If you, do be careful on the hill, i was here in the snow and it was too heavy and too slippery to try and take everything in one trip.
