Great spot in a friendly little town. Great place to stop off the road. Also, Jasper the cat was so cute, he greeted us in the morning by purring outside the tent!

This was my final overnight stop on a five day trip across the country. I arrived as Carolyn was finishing cutting the beautiful front lawn and the smell of fresh cut grass was a lovely treat after a day in the car. Jasper the cat, the properties self appointed greeter, was there with his brother George to welcome me to the property and Carolyn gave me an equally warm Mid-Western welcome and showed me where to set up in the shady lawn and I ended my day watching the sun set behind me while I looked over a sea corn. The cool Nebraska night was peaceful and I slept very well. In the morning Carolyn had suggestions for good coffee in the area and I was on my way. I would absolutely recommend this lovely site looking for a peaceful place to rest your head.

It was great again, peaceful, great weather, just sounds of nature and wonderful gifts of jams and syrup made from wild fruits in the area. Carolyn is a great host. Always fun to chat with her and her husband.

I arrived super late …and Carolyn met me outside to guide me to a level spot. I climbed into bed and slept till sunrise. Beautiful quiet night. I left early in the morning. Just a quick overnight sleeping place for me. But quiet dark and safe.

Such a beautiful place to camp. The host was so kind and helpful and the camp spot was so pretty. We woke up to the sweetest bird calls in the morning and a stunning sunrise.

Carolyn’s place was lovely! It was the perfect place to have a quiet, relaxing night with my dog, and the location for tent camping was a dream! I would definitely stay here again.

Lovely little corner of the yard. Look for the little camper sign off the side of the road for the entry. I picked the spot in the far corner with a gap in the trees for a nice breeze, a brilliant sunset over the fields and grainery in the distance.

Sweet little spot- perfect for our camper van as we did a road trip across the country. We got in very late and Carolyn was extra communicative to make sure we found the site in the dark.

We stayed in our Transit van on the property. The area was level, and easy to access. The sunset view would have been great but we were under a tornado watch and a fair rainstorm. But we did get to see a beautiful rainbow after the storm passed. The host did offer the use of her basement with an open back door in the event of a tornado; that was appreciated.

Everything went well. Carolyn was so friendly, came right out to meet me and walked me back to the site. It was mowed and spacious. It was as so peaceful and the bugs were nonexistent! The sunsets and sunrises are breathtaking! Carolyn checked on me to make sure all was well and that my needs were met. Would definitely recommend and will return whenever I’m back in the area.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Carolyn's serene retreat for one night, and it was an experience I won't soon forget. Nestled in the heart of picturesque farm country, this location offered a perfect blend of natural beauty and tranquility.
First and foremost, the location was absolutely stunning. Surrounded by rolling fields and expansive skies, it provided the ideal setting for anyone looking to escape the hustle and bustle of city life. What's more, it was conveniently close to the Sandhill Crane migration tour, making it the perfect base for exploring the wonders of the local wildlife.
One of the highlights of my stay was the breathtaking night sky. Although I missed the sunset, I was treated to an awe-inspiring display of stars, including a clear view of the Milky Way. It was a truly magical experience.
In addition to the natural wonders, Carolyn herself made my stay truly memorable. She went out of her way to ensure that I felt welcome and comfortable, taking the time to chat and share local insights.
As a delightful surprise, Carolyn even left a treat for me to enjoy — a thoughtful gesture that exemplified her kindness and attention to detail.
Thank you for a wonderful stay - and the sandhill crane migration is worth the trip to Nebraska!

Very quiet spot on a very quiet road. I walked 2 miles and didn't see a single car. The host's home is nearby, but she couldn't have been a nicer neighbor. Made sure I was settled when I arrived and I had total privacy the entire time. The nearby town of Cairo is quaint and charming too.

We enjoyed staying at Carolyn’s place. We were driving across country and this was a great place to stay overnight. We really enjoyed sitting and watching the sunset - beautiful as described. Carolyn and her husband were very responsive and engaging to talk with.

What a lovely and peaceful spot! Great hosts, so friendly and helpful. I had a nice shady grassy spot under lovely old trees to set up my tent. Cats were an extra plus! Beautiful view of the vast prairie.

The campsite area was very nice. The obvious problem is bathroom access. I think even a portable toilet would make it much easier for everyone.
The decorative lighting was nice early in the evening, but it would be better if the lights were turned off at some point. There is already a very bright light on the road, which the trees provide some shade from. For tent camping, I prefer the dark.
