One night camping spot

Great site for stargazing! It was an amazing experience. From the site to the amenities it was a great experience. Caley is wonderful to communicate with.

My family and I stayed over the long Labor Day weekend. As another reviewer noted, the amount of flat space at the camp site was a bit limited. With 3 tents and a few cook tables, we fit, but it was tight. 1-2 tents would probably be ideal.
As also noted in another review, there isn't any shade against the rising sun, so it can get quite hot if you don't bring some shade. We spent our days at Yosemite, so this wasn't much of a concern--but it does get hot early.
You can't readily see the neighbors, but they were noisy (including amplified music) until midnight or so on Saturday. They were quieter on Sunday. This may've just been due to the holiday weekend.
Swimming holes were dry, but the site was scenic with a view of trees. Beware of the poison oak, especially if you are hoping to let little kids roam around.

Very comfortable site and beautiful property, nicely setup with all of the essentials.
However, I did have some trouble getting responses from the host in the lead up to my trip. And I also wouldnāt necessarily recommend this site if youāre looking for peace and quietālots of noise from early in the morning to as late as 1 AM on one of my nights.

You could not ask for a better campsite - Caley practically made a home on the hill, ready to move into. The only problem I could find was that we were only staying for one night.
Finding the site was simple and Caley also communicated instructions and videos to make getting there and knowing what to expect no problem at all
The stargazing at Caleyās place was top-tier. The river is a few minutes walk down the hillside while you look around at the beautiful surrounding land.
If youāre usually a primitive camper like us, this spot is a luxury suite. There is water available, a bathroom, and even the kitchen sink (really - there is a kitchen/wash station that is very convenient).
Iād recommend this spot to anyone, especially if youāre planning a multi-day trip to Yosemite which is about a 45 minute drive away.

We had a great stay away from the crowds at Yosemite. The site had plenty of space for ou4 tents. The bathroom was adequate and while we opted for river swims rather than actual showers, having the sun shower available was nice. Our only complaint is that there is very little shade for where you cook and eat so Iād recommend bringing one if you have the option. It was about an hour and 15 into Yosemite and you have the option of two different entrances.

Wonderful spot, incredible host

We had such a wonderful experience at this spot! The area is beautiful and the swimming hole was absolutely a highlight for our whole group. Caley was incredibly kind and thoughtful ā even though she was out of town during our stay, she made sure we were fully prepared and even provided us with an additional bathroom set up for our group of 7 (plus a dog!). We truly appreciated that extra care.
A few things to keep in mind for future guests: there is some poison oak around the area so just be aware of your surroundings. The walk to the swimming hole is only about 5 minutes but the terrain may be a bit challenging for anyone with mobility limitations. For larger groups, tent space can be a little tricky since flat spots are limited ā we had 4 tents and made it work, but just something to plan around!
Overall our friends and our dog all loved it and we would absolutely recommend this spot. Thank you Caley for such a memorable stay! šļøš¾

What a sweet spot, easy to find and access. Really thoughtful touches (simple tables/chairs in the right places, cute comfortable outhouse, lighting...). The sunrise, sky and moon views are magnificent. We could hear some wildlife and some farm life (animals and feral farm children), but the spot felt totally secluded and private, thanks to the shady oak trees (the camp spot is exposed, flat enough tent space on dirt and stunning exposed granite).
A lovely bouldery creek cooled us off and was icing on the cake. Amazing.
We didn't need the host for anything once we got there, but Caley was responsive and helpful to our questions ahead of time.
I'll definitely be back to use this launchpad to Yosemite, Merced River and quirky town of Mariposa.

We enjoyed this campsite :) we had a group of 10 people and the host answered every question no matter what time. The only issue we had was the ground wasn't super leveled for 3 tents so half our group had trouble sleeping. Bathrooms super clean. Shower is solar shower, you need to bring your own privacy tent or swimming suit as there's no private showers. Also dog friendly, but we had a poodle and all the plants there would get stuck in his fur and it's impossible to remove. We had to shave him later.

Hidden Gem in Mariposa

What a hidden gem in Mariposa! Caley was a great host and the place is lovely and peaceful ā not to mention a river a couple feet away where you can dip in on a hot day! The site feels very private and stargazing at night is top notch! Will be back next time!

A beautifully secluded spot

This is a beautifully secluded spot, close to Yosemite with gorgeous sunset views. It's a vast, private space with a chimnea, hammock and outdoor kitchen and toilet facilities. The host popped up to say hello with her dog, and was super friendly and accommodating.

This place is seriously a hidden gem. My girlfriend and I were lucky enough to be the first to stay here, and it did NOT disappoint. private, insanely beautiful views, and thereās even a peaceful little creek that makes the whole spot feel unreal.
Honestlyā¦ part of me wants to gatekeep this place because itās that good š but it definitely deserves some hype. Will be back soon!
