Kahrig Bison Ranch

Learn more about this land:This is a site where you can come out and camp amongst the bison herd and horses. There is a meat shop on site to purchase bison meat. The area has rolling hills and trees. The camp site is on a flat field that overlooks the bison herd. Bison are close and in walking distance of camp ground. There is a picnic table for campers.

Clark Shack Acres 

Clark Shack Acres is a miniature horse farm in the Appalachian Ohio area. In the Muskinghum watershed near 5 State Park lakes Piedmont, Clendening, Salt Fork, Tappen and Seneca lakes. Also one mile from Egypt Valley Nature Public land. Close to fishing, boating, horseback riding, hunting, hiking. You can hike on trails at the camp site . Nice clear view of the stars.Learn more about this land:Located just 8 miles from interstate 70 in Ohio exit #202 coming from the east and exit 198 from the west .

We are a 40 acre family farm , not a camp ground .  But you can drive to all of our sites and  Pitch a tent near a pine forest and pond on a miniature horse farm . Private, but walking distance to the main house were water is available for washing and drinking. Many hiking trails on the land with a pond, stream, mediation circle. We have lots of wildlife. Located on a dirt road about 25 miles to nearest city. Fire ring and firewood is available. One tent or camper per site . Only 2 miles to Piedmont Lake where you can fish and go boating . They have a marina and restaurant. Only minutes from an Ohio wildlife reserve Egypt Valley great for hiking and hunting. Located in the Muskingum Water Shed with many lakes and streams including Salt Fork , Clenndening  , Piedmont, Seneca, Tappen Lakes . We have a lot you can park your boat when its not on the lake while camping .  We are located in a  Amish community , so watch for horse and buggys  on your drive to the farm.   primitive camping ~  is defined as being without neighbors, electricity, running water, bathroom facilities and, often times, cell service. You camp in a remote location and provide everything for yourself

Fish Farm Camp

We have a beautiful 20 acre lake. It's 60 ft deep with crystal clear water and is great for swimming and fishing. Kayaking welcome too. We also have a couple other ponds available for fishing as well. We raise fresh water prawn and bluegill in the summertime, so late september we have fresh shrimp available. Lots of waterfowl and deer here to see.

Gram's Red Ridge Farm

3rd generation family owned micro farm located in rural harrison county.Learn more about this land:2 sites with electric, water, and septic just minutes from tappen, clendening and piedmont lakes. Fire rings for each site. Plenty of wildlife to just sit and watch.

William Tennelle Family Farm

Our 50 acre farm adjoins my parent's 400 acre farm where they raise beef cattle.  My wife and I raise goats and chickens.  In summer of 2020 we expanded into raising hops and focus on making our property hospitable to helping the honeybee population.  We are avid outdoor enthusiasts enjoying camping, hiking, biking, kayaking, exploring... basically all the "ings".Learn more about this land:WTFF stands for William Tennelle Family Farm; you will be staying at an active farm.  We raise chickens, goats, and hops.  Honeybees coming soon.Car Camping: This site is ideal for someone wanting to camp close to their vehicle.  We recommend a 4wd or higher clearance vehicles.  Feel free to set your tent up anywhere in the area you choose close to the road.  See the map included in the pictures for further information.  A tent deck is coming soon.  There is a portable fire place hanging on the tree; feel free to place it wherever is convenient for you.  Please hang it back up before leaving.The outhouse is shared with our Wooded Camp SitePlease do not cut any trees or saplings; however, feel free to pick up the fallen timber for firewood.  There is a pile of falling wood you are welcome to cut from.  There is a saw in the outhouse; please return when you are done with it.We offer free farm fresh eggs to all campers; let us know if you would like 6 or 12.

Cliff Mine Heights

We purchased the property as a foreclosure five years ago, and have been remodeling ever since. The property is located close to all the city amenities we love, but still gives us the privacy we wanted.
