"Osborne's Den" (tiny A-Frame Cabin) and "The Moose Site" (a full hook up RV/Camp site) both nestled on this quaint 1/2 acre lot (they rent separately... not together).  Just minutes from Mt. Rainier National Park.

"Osborne's Den" has basic power inside the building and a water spigot just outside.  There is a queen sized bed (you bring your own bedding). 

There is a shared Honeybucket Toilet just across the driveway. You will see the other details in the "site listing"

"The Moose" is a level, graveled RV/Camping site. Water and 30 AMP and 20 AMP power and sewer connection. 

The shared/communal firepit/stargazing area is perfect for relaxing. Short 10 minute walk/hike down to the Nisqually River. Restaurants/shops/coffee/stores 1 mile away!

My Tiny Creekside Retreat is located in the hills above Longview, with easy access to Historic Downtown Longview, less than a half hour from the I-5 Freeway, and within 1.5 hours of Long Beach, Mt. St. Helens, and Portland Oregon. The Retreat includes accommodations for overnighters and is available to host your small event. In addition to their private accommodations our guests enjoy our large covered fire pit and picnic area, creek side beach, yoga decks, and an EV charger. A perfect escape from the hustle of life!

Ovis Aries Farm

Nestled in beautiful Mossyrock, in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains just off White Pass Scenic Byway in western Washington state, Ovis Aries Farm is less than a mile away from one of the best fishing holes in the state (Swofford Pond), and from Riffe Lake’s heavily-booked Mossyrock Campground. Our 20-acre property features densely-forested mountainside trails, a seasonal creek and pond, with a variety of hardwood and evergreen trees. Surrounded on three sides by Christmas tree farms, our farm is the last bit of wilderness left in the area. Only an hour from Mt. Ranier’s legendary winter sports, with hiking, fishing and festivals all both here and nearby, our farm provides a perfect Base Camp for your any-season getaway!

We have two camping sites available, each with room for two groups. The BARN site has power and water and gravel parking, and are located by the big brown barn at the end of Naylor Road (at the "End of County Road" sign). The FIELD site is a one-acre open field with a gated entrance shortly after you turn onto Naylor Road (left side, before log cabin). Note that neither site is perfectly level, but is within the typical leveling ability of RVs at the size limits stated. The farm is located on a steep hillside; there is only so much we can do. But the stunning views more than make up for any inconvenience, in our experience.

Ovis Aries is the scientific name for “domestic sheep”, and indeed, we raise Romney sheep of all colors on our farm! You may also meet our sweet and friendly Morgan Horse mare, Naya, who likes to follow visitors around like a very large dog. We also have a small orchard with apples, persimmons, cherries, blueberries, and a pear, peach and almond tree beside the barn. We farm using organic, no-till, permaculture, silvopasture and forest grazing practices, and the sheep are entirely grass-fed, producing meat of the healthiest-possible quality. 

If fiber arts is your jam, we have a beautiful wool workshop, with a 40" 4-shaft, 6-harness Louet Hollandia floor loom, a 32" Harp rigid heddle loom, 5 spinning wheels, a drum carder, and numerous other fiber tools for scouring, prepping, spinning, dyeing, weaving, felting and knitting wool. One on one and small group classes are available with reservations. We also have an Ender 3 Pro+ 3D printer available, and a business center, including fast StarLink Wi-Fi and all streaming services. Farm Tours are given on request.

The Arboretum at Bear Canyon West

This is a gorgeous park-like campground situated between the trees of the arboretum. Beautiful view of the mountains and forests here in western Washington. We are close to Mt. St. Helens and Mt. Rainier and several lakes.

There are walking trails all around the site. The 12 acre campground is located on a 136 acre property that is an active Christmas tree farm. Trails continue throughout the tree farm.

Many trails have a view of the Tilton River, which can be reached via a challenging 3/4 mile trail. Sites are on 10 acres planted with many different species of trees that are about 25 years old. Giant Redwoods, Cedars, and

Maples are just a few of the varieties present. Part of the farm is still a working Christmas tree farm.

The trails are wide and grassy. There is an old logging road that we use as a trail to the river. With an elevation change of about 500 feet, the trail can be quite challenging. Bear Creek empties into the Tilton river at the end of the trail.

Every site has a water spigot (use a pressure regulator if you want to hook up). No restrooms or sewer hookups. Garbage disposal site available Memorial Day to Labor Day.

R&R Retreat.  Digital Detox.

This 40 Acre parcel has been in my family since the 1870's when my Great^4 grandparents homesteaded it.   For the first 50 years or so, It was used as a hay field and cattle pasture, but it has been managed as a tree farm ever since and we are still doing periodic selective harvests.    It was handed down through the paternal family to my Great Uncle, who passed away in 2013 and deeded it to my 2nd cousin in the will.  My Dad and I bought it from my cousin, who lives in Arizona, together.  Then my Wife and I bought my Dad out with our share of  the profits from our first commercial thinning.Although I plan to do some minor harvesting in the future, I no longer intend to do any clearcutting.  Selective harvests only.  I hope that campers will make ample use of windfalls and other debris to keep the fire risk low.  I also use the property as a release site for wildlife caught as part of my urban nuisance wildlife business.

Grey Owl Hollow

Once a working farm, Grey Owl Hollow sat fallow for over 20 years.
In 2017, Seth left the corporate world and he and Yvonne dedicated themselves to the stewardship of this charming locale. 
The densely planted lumber forest was trimmed and thinned, allowing deer and other wildlife migration while providing shady campsites for nature lovers.
Seth has begun planting a redwood grove in the high meadow and Yvonne is adding hazelnut and walnut trees to the 80-year-old apple orchard.
Grey Owl Hollow is in trust and is intended to remain a nature sanctuary for future generations. Our 20 acre piece of heaven includes a fir tree forest for cool camping in the heat of summer. Romp with your dog through the rolling meadow, meditate or play in the 35' labyrinth and - in early fall - help yourselves to blackberries and apples in the orchard. Black-tailed Columbian deer are regular visitors, while coyotes, owls, and frogs may serenade you in the evening.
We are firm believers in the value of time in the woods as a balm for physical, psychological, and emotional distress.  Seth, your host, is a certified Forest and Nature Therapy guide, and two-hour guided walks are available as an extra with your booking.At Grey Owl Hollow, we are dedicated to providing a delightful camping experience with whimsy, wonder and tranquility.

Dragons Gate Gardens & Wilds

Tenino, the area we are in is where the First Nations People used as the Gathering Grounds.  The Europeans when they came with their railroad chose to continue that tradition. Tenino is ground zero for the measurement of where one is on the railroad.  We fell in love with our farm with its much untouched acres (not know any chemicals for the last 30 years) to create a place where people can gather and reconnect with life's natural beauty.

We are certified organic, Salmon Safe certified, and pesticide free.  Dragons' Gate Gardens is home to many giant crystals and here their beauty works delightfully with the land.   

The area has gently rolling hills filled with wildflowers during the earlier part of the Summer. Dragons Gate Gardens and Wilds has a hundred and twenty acres to explore.

 The Skookumchuck River is a little over a mile away where you can enjoy a waterfall and walk along the river with low bank where one can get into the water. Doing so is a great favorite of our guests.

There is a giant crystal housed in a gazebo that overlooks the surrounding fields and woods. Time to meditate with the giant crystal in the gazebo can be booked with Kathleen for a fee  of $55.

We are wild and woolly. We provide a place to experience nature as it simply is. We privilege pollinators above human aesthetics.

 Wildflowers abound, including various dandelions which many are edible and healing plants.

 We encourage converting from lawns to meadow lands being supportive of wild birds and insects. If you like it wild we are the place for you. This is not a resort or English style garden. Tall grass, wild flowers and trees fill the land around you to give you a feeling of full immersion in Nature.

Moon Meddow is a lush grassy green area surrounded by tall evergreen trees.  You can make your camp out in the open field or tucked into one of the many alcoves surrounded by trees.
