Peace and quiet equals “Solitude at my farm. I’m just like you. I want to camp at a quiet place in the country where it’s plenty of acres and no houses to look at and a clean bathroom and shower. Well it’s here. I’m Located in Wakefield Virginia. If you’re traveling to Virginia Beach I’m one hour away. From my farm there is a free ferry in Scotland where the ferry departs to Williamsburg just 30 minutes. At my farm I have 5 sites for tent/camping so it’s spaced appropriately apart I have 2 Rv sites totally away for their privacy and a new mini house also properly spaced away. All have a clean picnic table and a fire pit. 100 feet away you’ll find that clean bathroom, shower and a wash station for hygiene. You’ll see the love I put into this and because I love it and my prior guests love it, which means it may be right for you also. In the town of Wakefield you’ll find gas stations, dollar stores, a Value food market and if you want (to go) food we have that also. Plus it’s home to The Virginia Diner. Amenities include toilet access, a shower, trash disposal, picnic tables, and potable water. Pets are allowed, as are campfires.

If you are looking for a secluded, quiet camping experience, these remote sites are exactly what you are looking for. Located on over 100 acres of forest and working farm. Just down the road from historic Smithfield, Surry, Jamestown, and a ferry across to Williamsburg. Enjoy the peaceful quiet of camping on the farm. We very much enjoyed our short stay at Marvin's tiny home. The small space is well utilized and feels private and cozy. Our hosts make sure we had everything we needed and addressed our questions and concerns promptly and hospitably. The property is clean and we felt safe and welcome. We would certainly recommend and stay again.

I stayed at Camp Redfish, which is basically a shed, but it was awesome! It felt very private with amazing views. Tons of butterflies, beautiful birds, and a field of wild flowers. I very much enjoyed my weekend getaway here, and Evie + her family were beyond helpful with anything I needed. Great place, great people😊

I had the whole property to myself on the holiday weekend. Very quiet. Nice little shed tucked up against the woods. I stayed hunkered down most of my trip. It was raining/snowing, very peaceful. There are two picnic tables on site, plus a fire pit. The shed features an awning over its porch with two Adirondack chairs for your convenience. The site overlooks the field.
I used a Mr buddy heater inside the shed for the night. I really got some warmth going.
I recommend this site to anyone looking for some true SOLITUDE!

First, the hosts were so warm and welcoming. The place is adorable with everything we needed to have a comfortable and quiet long weekend. Melvin even helped is get the grill rolling, and showed my husband how to roast peanuts. He sent a box home with is from his farm so we can try it ourselves. Really could not have asked for a better experience.
