Come take a load off at this forested Richmond retreat overlooking Reedy Creek. Set up a tent, car camp, or bring your small trailer&nbsp;to one of two sites on a unique property backed up to 20+ acres of woods. Imagine a hidden gem where you can relax to the sounds of rushing water and chirping birds, but can walk or bike to coffee shops, breweries, restaurants, parks or the river. If you are coming into Richmond for a Brown's Island event we are a five minute Uber to an access point using the Potterfield walking bridge (it's a beautiful walk across the James River to the island).

Each campsite includes 3 level spots to pitch tents (see dimensions below), and a connected space to park one car, van or small trailer. The large parking space can be used as a fourth tent footprint if needed. There are additional parking spaces.  Each site has a fire pit (with firewood on site), a grate to grill over the fire,&nbsp;a picnic table, and a hammock. There is a shared outbuilding with a composting toilet, hand washing sink, outdoor shower (solar warmed),&nbsp;and space to change privately.&nbsp;

**Pricing is based on groups of up to four adults or two adults with children.  

For groups of five to seven adults there is an additional charge of $10 person per day.

For groups of eight or more we suggest you reserve both sites and have the entire camp to yourselves. 

Campsites W and E&nbsp;are about 80' apart. Both are around 100' to the creek. The spots&nbsp;can accommodate a total length (towing vehicle plus trailer) of up to 35 ft.

There is an outdoor spigot with potable water and  hoses for clean up. The woodlands and creek adjacent to the campsites have trails that are accessible to the public. You and your furry friends are welcome to use these paths, but know that others may be using them too.

Richmond has so much to offer and we are just a hop, skip, and a jump to many wonderful attractions - kayak or sunbathe on the James River, walk or bike on trails around the city, rock climb, dine, imbibe.

PLEASE NOTE*&nbsp;These sites are on a private property with a house that is visible to campers, but we give our guests complete privacy and don't plan to interact unless you need something from us. While you are on a 2 acre property backed up to a 20 acre&nbsp;wooded area, we are still in the middle of the city and you will hear city sounds.

This is a safe space. We do not discriminate based on anything that makes you...you.

Site W includes 2 leveled tent spaces, a picnic table, an extra table and chairs, a fire pit, and a hammock!

Bonny Biggin Farm

Our campsite is open and available! We offer a safe, contactless retreat on 80 acres!

Just outside the quaint town of Ashland and less than 5 miles off I95, Bonny Biggin Farm has one large campsite for BYOT (Bring Your Own Tent!) or drive-in camping for small RVs and all-wheel vehicles. You can walk field edges to enjoy wildlife and diverse fauna.

Campsite 1 offers drive-in camping for vans, small campers,
and off-road vehicles. You can park right next to the fire ring, pitch your tent, and enjoy the evening!

Riverdale Farms

Come pitch your tent along the North Anna River on our 150 acre farm in Doswell, VA. You'll have exclusive access to our campsite, within easy access from Richmond (20 minutes), Fredericksburg (30 minutes) and Northern Virginia (60 minutes). You'll have acres and acres to explore during the day and a chance to enjoy beautiful views on the water around our fire pit at night. The river offers an opportunity for swimming, canoeing, kayaking and fishing, just down the steps from the campsite. The VA State Fairgrounds are 2 miles away.

Pricing is $40 for four guests and $10 for each additional guest, per night. Children under twelve are free but we do require that you book the correct number of over twelve year old guests when you make your reservation.

Our property is remote and check-in and check-out are contactless - we can't wait to welcome you to Riverdale!

Peace of Earth Farmstead & Forest

Our farm is host to wild critters as well as our farm animals.  There will always be someone to pet, feed or observe during your stay!

We started on this land in 2019 and have been steadily working to create a cooperative farmstead and nature school to share with our community as well as travelers and explorers.

Our space is super kid friendly! Enjoy the animals, treehouse and trails :)

Cornerstone Farm

If you are looking for a secluded, quiet camping experience, these remote sites are exactly what you are looking for. Located on over 100 acres of forest and working farm. Just down the road from historic Smithfield, Surry, Jamestown, and a ferry across to Williamsburg. Enjoy the peaceful quiet of camping on the farm. The wild blackberries are coming into season and the nightly fire fly show is amazing. Tons of sunflowers and other wildflowers have been planted and will be in full bloom during July/August.

Flower & Fields Farm


Enjoy a complete break from the hustle and bustle of the everyday & escape to our budding 7 acre herb farm.  Enjoy beautiful nature trails for biking, hiking, bird watching, mushroom hunting, or medicinal herb spotting.  Beautiful scenic overview of adjacent property's pond, makes for the most romantic and  instagram perfect photos.  Access to lovely Beaver Dam Creek for taking a dip, panning for stones, or simply watching wildlife and flora. 

Property is absolutely magical with ferns, huge established trees, assorted mosses, hardwood mushrooms, lichen, medicinal and edible herbs.  We also have quite a few animals running around.  Feel free to pet and enjoy any and everything you find, except any black snakes you may come across. They simply would not appreciate it.  We are adding animals daily so feel free to check our photos for what to expect.

THE FARM @ NOEL

Beautiful rolling hills of the Virginia Piedmont, this farm consists of 127 acres of pasture, cropland, and woodlots ajoining the Castle Glen Winery, and abutting to 650 acres of National Park.Our family seeks to continue improving the land, and thereby visitor experiences by implementing sustainable, regenerative agriculture methods; rotational grazing on pasture, cover-cropping, and managed woodlots.

127 acres of rolling hills and pasture abuts to 650 acres of National Battlefield Park, and shares a boundary with Castle Glenn Winery.  Terrain is subdivided into several pastures and woodlot. Southern Revere Vineyard & Farm

We are a family owned and operated vineyard and farm. Home to Southern Revere Cellars - Farm Brewery and Winery! 70 acres of forest and fields with a small pond and 3 Nigerian Dwarf goats. There are some fish in the pond, but it is catch and release. Fenced dog park and playground located behind the tasting room. Located conveniently between Richmond and Charlottesville only 3 miles off I-64 but feels like the secluded countryside. There are trails around the property to explore as well (please be considerate of other campers if present). You are welcome to visit the playground behind the tasting barn too. Porta john is also available in front of tasting room building, and water hose on East side of building for small amounts of water if needed (not intended to fill camper tanks).

Located 10 minutes from I64 and 5 minutes from Rt.15 and Rt.53. Lowes, Walmart and other resources within short driving distance. 45 minutes to Short Pump, Virginia. Several wineries and breweries within 30 minute drive.

We are located within 10 minutes of the county's largest and only public park called Pleasant Grove. There you can go biking, hiking, visit the dog park, watch wildlife and if sports activities are going on watch and enjoy them. 

The Rivanna River is approximately  5-7 minutes away from your site(s) where you can fish, tube, canoe and kayak at the public boat landing. There is also a local family owned grocery store across the street.

NOTE: In order to be respectful of our neighbors, quiet hours are from 10pm until 8 am. This means please attempt to keep sound levels within your designated camping area. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

Host may request you leave the premises for any unruly or unapproved behavior and a refund will not be given. Contact Host for any activity that is currently approved by law in Virginia and the host requirements.

Peace Hill Farm

Peace Hill Farm is a working family farm with home-produced meat, crops, and wool: we raise Angora goats, Leicester Longwool and Merino sheep, miniature Holstein cows, draft horses, Mangalitsa pigs, ducks, and chickens.

We sell raw fleeces, rovings, and a whole range of colorful farm-produced yarns. In the summer, we have pick-your-own orchard fruits. Our farm store carries a full range of farm products plus selected arts and crafts made by local artisans. We offer afternoon teas and dinners along with a full range of hand-selected wines. Farm tours run year-round.

Billyville in Bells Crossroads


Billyville is not just a state of mind, it is a place to camp, play, and relax.  Located in rustic Bells Crossroads, VA three miles from I-64, Billyville is a work in progress featuring 2 tent and 4 RV sites with electric hookup and lots of space.  Wifi, well water from a hose and composting outhouse facilities are available.  Other amenities include a six hole disc golf course, little free library.

Within one hour’s ride is a wealth of things to do, experience and see; within reach are the Shenandoah mountains, the University of Virginia and Charlottesville and Lake Anna . There is something for everyone from children to seniors, from outdoor adventurers, to history buffs, arts and entertainment seekers, bargain shoppers and local gourmet food and drink lovers.

At days end you can go to concerts or “clubbing” in town or return to Billyville and enjoy the quiet, peaceful ambiance of a campfire under a starlit sky.

Check-Ins and Arrival Instructions:
      Check-ins on weekdays are dependent on my work schedule.  If this is your first time at Billyville, I need to be on property to guide you into your site.  Please reach out before your stay so we can coordinate.  If I am off on that day, check-in is after 1pm.  If I am working, it will be after 5pm and occasionally after 7.  I am currently testing out some procedures to allow self check-in.  We'll see how that pans out. 
    Anyway, to get to Billyville:
    Turn onto Bells Lane. (Dirt Road).  You'll see a white fence on your left down the lane about .2 miles.  Just after the fence, you'll see a red sign at the beginning of a rope fence.  Turn off Bells Lane just after the sign and follow the fence, keeping it on you left.

Drewry Blueberry Farm

We live on a diversified farm with hogs, chickens, guineas, five dogs, cattle, and a milk cow... with a blueberry and grape orchard for u-pick customers. Our farm contains about 400 acres of fields, woodlands, our home and an 18th century home that we restored for nightly rentals. It is quiet here with night skies where you can actually see the stars. Yet we are only 18 miles from the Jamestown Ferry and Colonial Williamsburg and more.
