It started as a simply place to get away for the family but then family and friends started asking to use our Kabin so the rest is history. My brother and I built it from the ground up and did our best to replicate a 100+ year old mountain cabin. We do hope you enjoy the peace and quiet you'll get when staying at Keira's Kabin.Learn more about this land:If you want to get away from the hussle and bussle of today's busy schedule, this is the place. Surrounded by woods, nature and lots of wildlife. Keira's Kabin sits down in a very quiet area on the property along side a spring fed creek. It's very easy to get to and can accomodate up to 4 people. The bunk bed allows 1 person to sleep up top and 2 people to sleep on the bottom. There's also a lounge chair that folds out that another person can sleep on. All the bedding is available at the cabin, but if you want to bring your sleeping bags, you are more than welcome to. There are some eating utensils available as well as a variety of cooking tools (frying pan, tongs, spachulas, etc). You can choose to use the campfire to cook or you can use the propane camp stove if you choose. We also have a hot dog and hamburger holder, popcorn maker, marshmellow spears and sandwich makers that are used for cooking over the campfire. There is great cell service at the cabin but no wifi. Other area services include, Kengo gas station near the entrance of the property and within 7-10 minutes you can be in town to get anything you need. We have 15 acres located in unincorporated Hilham, TN. Dry Mill Creeks runs behind our property, and after a good rain it’s a nice creek to explore. We are working on the natural spring on our property to have even more of a water feature! My husband and I turned a 12X20 shed into an adorable tiny home, equipped with so many comforts- including heating and cooling, running water, washing machine, shower, toilet, WiFi and a smart TV. If someone is wanting to test out tiny living, our home is the best place to try! We are also 1.5 hours either direction of Nashville or Knoxville. We are 15 minutes outside of the city of Livingston which offers the standard amenities including grocery stores, a cute town square, and places to eat. Wednesday through Friday you can always stop in and check out Mayhue Masters General store for some BBQ, supplies, and snacks located right at the top of Turkeytown Rd. PLEASE READ: The driveway to the cabin is steep and gravel. A 4 wheel drive vehicle is recommended but not necessary. We suggest you arrive with daylight in mind, the road in is very dark at night. We ask that our guests please provide their own bedding and towels, if you cannot, the cabin lines are available for an additional $20 fee. There are free roaming dogs in the area. Mostly they stay away. Some come for a visit and are harmless, feel free to tell them to “go home” If you are bringing your dog with you, be mindful of this, as we are not responsible for your dogs interactions with others.

We also have a beautiful creek to explore, very secluded and off the beaten path with lots of wildlife to enjoy. In addition to our relaxing atmosphere, this camp will also give you and your loved ones an incredible view to enjoy throughout your stay. Only 15.0mi via KY-90W by vehicle or 14mi by kayak to Cumberland Falls State Park with many hiking trails. One of the oldest original homesteads in the area, for nearly 150 years this gem has been in the family. We have shared it with many people over the years and would love to share it with you! These beloved woods are the remaining part of the once vast, Patrick homestead-started soon after the Revolutionary War. Our family ties and our roots grow very deeply along this river and these woods-we've been born and raised here and continue to strive to be good stewards of these lands. Pristine woods, trails, river access, and more! Located in the heart of the Appalachian and on the bank of the Upper Cumberland River. The Property: Located north of Cookeville in the rolling hills and farmland, our property is on Spring Creek, a state scenic river. Situated between two waterfalls and featuring over half a mile of river frontage to explore. Float, fish and relax listening to the cascading water. Perfect for bird watchers- blue and green herons, ospreys, hawks, bald eagles and more. You may spot the creek critters- minks, beavers, and otters. Various types of bass, craw dad's and minnows are in the creek. We operate similar to a state park. We are open to the public from 10am-7pm, peak season. We have other listings that are spaced so each of our guests has privacy. Please see aerial photo for an overview. We sometimes have small events (birthday parties, ect) at the pavilion. Please feel free to message us first, if you would like to see if there are any events during your stay. There are 2 restrooms centrally located at the pavilion. One bathroom has a shower with hot water, soap, shampoo/conditioner included. The restrooms are shared with our other listings. There are USB and regular outlets in the pavilion and WiFi. During warm season the outdoor kitchen is available as well. We also rent out a Suite which is located above the pavilion. Quiet hours are 10pm-8am. Pets are welcome as long as they are leashed and picked up after. Please note there is a gun range 2 hollers away and depending on the season, it can be heard from our property. Tent in the Trees Listing: Your tent site is built above the trail and overlooking the creek. The tent is equipped with a queen bed, linens, and extra blankets. Your essential cooking gear (plates, utensils, cups, cookware, french press, coffee and 1 burner camp stove). There is a fire pit with grill and griddles for cooking over wood or charcoal. We supply fire wood for you and you're welcome scavange the wood nearby. Really, all you need is clothes, food and drink! Primitive Camp Site: The rustic camp site is DIY. It is 300' from pavilion, and 600' from Tent in the Trees. We provide a picnic table and fire pit with wood. You bring all the rest of your gear. Typically, you may park next to your campsite. If you have forgotten any gear, please ask us. We have some supplies available for rent. No RV's, converted vans are permitted. If you have a very small camper, please message us to see if we can accommodate. There are no hookups, and no loud generators allowed. Escape in nature and sleep soundly to the sounds of the creek!
