Welcome to our cabin-style tinyhome, nestled in 8 acres of Tennessee's natural beauty. Although only 500ft2, the cabin's space has been maximized for comfort.  The cabin features an inflatable hot tub, queen-sized bed, queen-sized pull out couch in the living room, full bathroom, kitchen, bartop, and laundry. Explore nearby waterfalls, hiking trails, caves, etc

Camp Mountain Lake Retreats 

This Camp originally was a girls and boys camp. Started by Colonel Reynolds in 1947 every summer it was opened for campers from all over the United States. Coach Moore, of Sewanee, the University of the South, took over in the early 1980s. My husband Charles Kildgore, was a counselor in training in 1974. When it came up for sale we couldn't help but purchase it to reclaim the history of what it once was.Learn more about this land:Pitch your tent and enjoy the beauty of nature near many hiking trails, lakes and a small town that hosts many quaint eateries and local arts.Located directly across from Camp Mountain Lake Retreats, Basecamp is a 6 tent camp site reclaimed from the original horse stable and riding ring.. My husband Charles Kildgore, was a counselor in training in 1974. The local law enforcement holds the gun permit classes here 2 Saturday's a month./p&gt;

The Bolo Club

Our grandparents moved to the farm on Little Crow Creek on September 27, 1927 from up in Sinking Cove. They had six children with our dad, Charlie Jr., being one of them.
Charlie Stubblefield Sr. was a very interesting man with a wide curiosity in just about anything that had to do with history, Indian artifacts, Civil War, fossils, oral history, religion and more.
Therefore, the small museum on the property next to the pavilion is dedicated to our grandfather.
Charlie Sr. and our grandmother served as Justices of the Peace for over 30 years. Further, our grandmother was the backbone of the family, and was a gracious lady with a special personality to handle the rigors of the day; we miss them both very much.
The area has many interesting stories and legacies of characters of yesterday and today.

Glamping at Deer Camp Cabin

We build from the heart with blue prints and Deer Camp was a thought that started on the back of a receipt and grew into a 12x12 cozy cabin. We have 13 acres and we share with that Deer Camp. Only enough land has been cleared for structures so it's all wooded and every structure was built by us and is unique and one of a kind. 

Outdoor movie theater available for use March through December. Complete with hammock chairs, cozy blankets, propane fire ring, and all the movies you love on the big screen.

With a comfy bed and windows that open all around it's the perfect place to relax.

On the deck of the cabin you'll find a kitchen with everything you could need to fix a meal.

The bathroom is amazing and has a wonderful view of the woods.

You'll find a picnic table by the fire if you want to enjoy a meal outside.

The Falls at Sewanee Creek

45 private acres on our homestead for you to roam.  Seven eclectic sites to choose from ranging from primitive camping to a lovely log cabin.  All except the log cabin lovingly built by the owner, loaded with creative touches.

* Two gorgeous waterfalls.  Each of our stay-sites are located within about 100-150 yards of Fifty-foot tall Miller’s Falls.
* A large cave at the end of a short, but rugged hike.

Disclaimer: The flow of the waterfall is subject to fluctuations in temperature, seasonal droughts, & rain fall. The most favorable seasons for waterfall flow are fall, winter & early spring.

We came to this magical place to found a self-reliant, homesteading eco-community when I retired from corporate life in 2006. It's called the Village on Sewanee Creek, named for the creek 800 feet below the bluff where we are located.

I traveled the world as a senior executive for Baskin-Robbins, Dunkin' Donuts, Papa Johns, Blockbuster, 7-Eleven and other retail franchises, making the world safe for Pizza, Ice Cream, Pancakes Video Rentals and American convenience. And I was ready for something more fufilling. I scouted for a place of exquisite natural beauty and I found it here. I bought way too much land just before the real estate bust and learned how to turn a nice fortune into a very small one. 

I faced challenges and had lots of fun. Now I want to share our experience. It's
the Village 2.0 for guests. Or not. Life in the city is OK as long as you can get away frequently.

I'm convinced if you love nature and the outdoors, this is the best place to celebrate it.

Friends and I moved to this place in 2017 from Southern California. We got tired of the rat race, the crowded freeways and the wildfires. We wanted a bigger, natural space, a more free way of life and we were in desperate need of water!!

 Our vision is to turn this few acres into a community, a place where our friends can come to retreat, relax, eat, get healthy, have fun and feel welcomed.

Looking to make new friends to have fun and get a few acres of land ready for gardening and living spaces!

A small fruit orchard was planted with medicinal plants and herbs and is constantly added to every growing season.

We provide fresh eggs and herbs for breakfast (seasonal) and firewood for your campfire!

We love this property because there are so many animals and plants that are found no where else in the world but here on the Cumberland Plateau.

This gorgeous space is backed up against tens of thousands of acres of forest and the South Cumberland State Park is practically in our backyard..

And it’s wild out here! There are bears, mountain lions, deer, fox, owls and turkey that live here, and there are NO FENCES! Camp at your own risk!

Foster Falls State Park is 3mi south and accessible on highway 41 or by hiking south from the property.

Lots of outdoor activities such as climbing, hiking, biking, boating, paddle boarding, whitewater rafting, skydiving, hang gliding, and motorcycle riding are all in the area. Chattanooga is 30 minutes away, Nashville is 1.5 hours. 

This area is rich in history! Union troops marched toward Confederate troops nearby during the Civil War.

We offer firewood at your campsite, composting toilets, hot showers and WiFi. Digital Nomads Welcome!

Wild Animal Sanctuary, mountain lions, bears, deer, turtles, fox, owls and wild turkey all live here.
