Weekend Trip to Hacienda La Tradición

Beautiful view, facilities, and super friendly owners! We had a great night here and would love to go back.

1 night at Rainforest Campground & Glamping

I was lucky to have the campground to myself the whole evening. As a solo traveler I was a little apprehensive at first, but everything was so well organized and communicated. I was able to speak to Adam on the phone, he sounds like an awesome dude who truly looks after guests! Sunset and sunrise were gorgeous, and the sound of the frogs, while yes very intense at first (right by my head outside the tent!) it ends up quieting thruout the night. I saw a few posts about people saying the tents looked nothing like the pictures and wasn’t sure what quality to expect. They are only a different color 😂 still just as good! The road up is a tight one, just hug the edge and slow down. Great spot! And the stream was amazing!

Weekend Trip to Finca Remedio Permaculture Farm

Alexa and Naldo have created such a magical experience, staying here was the highlight of our trip to Puerto Rico! We stayed in the cob house, which is a work of art and an inspiration in sustainability. Loved how everything was completely off grid, but never felt like it lacked any common necessities. The composting toilet with the live-in chicken was constant entertainment for my 6 year old daughter. The "hike" down to the serene river swimming hole is not to be missed. Definitely recommend sampling the chocolate as well. We really hope to make it back here someday!

2 nights at Finca Sajorí

Great place to camp make sure your tents waterproofing is good because it can rain a lot suddenly. Driving to the river is doable for a good 4x4 but if it is a full side truck like mine it is a bit challenging for the tight turns. I might have ripped off a sidestep accidentally totally my fault.

It was a very cozy experience, nice spot, secure and secluded, when we arrived we were received by Potoko the lil dog, he was very charming and excellent guide, very good friendly dog. The place was really big, chilly night, the compost toilet was definetly an experience hehehe. The hike is a bit long down the hill, it was a good hike for walking in the "forest". Definetly a good stay.

Great place for camping! Hot showers and toilets are a super plus! Hiking is a bit extreme but the views and magical place is well worth it! Easy and convenient to get there. 15min drive to Utuados main town.

3 nights at Rainforest Campground & Glamping

Really beautiful land and very nice set up! We “glamped” in the tent/bed set up and found it very comfortable. We appreciated the fan provided to keep us cool at night. The bathroom and shower were very nice as well! We really enjoyed the jungle walk on the property (but know it’s not for the faint of heart. Very difficult both up and down but WOW so worth it!!) I would recommend arriving in the daylight hours - even with very amazing directions from the host it was difficult to navigate in the dark. Plus, you need to be prepared for an intense drive to the site. Roads are narrow (to the point that you feel it should be a one way but cars will certainly be coming from the opposite direction), curvy, mountainous and a bit pot-holey. This is how a lot of the roads we traveled in Puerto Rico were so just be aware!! We chose to not use the kitchen facility and personally wouldn’t recommend relying solely on that as a means for your meals. Another recommendation is to bring ear plugs! It is SO COOL being immersed in the rainforest but you can’t comprehend how loud of the Coqui (frogs) are & they have a high pitched cry that can easily keep ya up at night. Overall, great and unique experience while in PR!

Finca Sajori is a magical place. We were able to set up under cover during rain and met the owner. He has big plans and I can tell this place is going to get better and better. What a lovely retreat with som many things to see and do nearby and nice cool weather for sleeping at night. Our dogs loved it too!

stunningly beautiful land in the middle of the jungle! Alexa was so accommodating with our late check in and quick to answer any questions. We loved our stay and adventure here!

This place was beautiful and perfect! Our site wasn’t right next to anyone which we loved and it had an amazing view! It was camping but a little less stressful as they had so much already there for you ready to use. The bathrooms were even nice! I would def recommend this place to everyone!

My son and I had a fantastic time here! It was his first time camping and it was so wonderful, it felt like we had the whole jungle to ourselves. From the breath taking views to waterfalls and campfires, we can't wait to return. The staff was super professional and responsive, I appreciate them making this a special experience for us.

Beautiful! We all thoroughly enjoyed our Lakeview glamping experience! The tent was perfectly set up for two adults and two teenagers. The beds were comfortable. The View outstanding! The kitchen was perfectly practical even with all the leaks, as it rained HEAVILY every afternoon. HOT showers. Lovely walk to the stream and waterfalls. A MUST do adventure! We were sad to find the firewood punky and soggy. All in all a fabulous experience.

EXCEPTIONAL LOCATION! Loved everything about the trip, and the host's flexibility. There are nice amenities as described and the view is breathtaking. We loved the versatility of the space, where people can either stay at the house, glamp, or camp. Makes for a perfect family trip with diverse generations. Will come again!

Our property is planted with Coffee, Plantains, Citrus Fruits, Cacao and a variety of other fruit trees. Our campsite is planted with yellow flamboyant trees and overlooks the Limón River valley with the mountain range in the background where you will see the sun rise and set each day. We have 2 toilet rooms and 2 shower rooms with a double sink area to wash dishes etc. There are multiple trails within the property taking you through the jungle and to the streams with various waterfalls.

If you're a bird watcher, this is like a natural sanctuary. Song birds sing all through the day, and the doves snore beautifully at night. Cranes, owls, hawks, humming birds, parrots, and many more I'm not familiar with visit all the time. We got farm ducks, and chickens too. My neighbor has a flock of Peacocks that are usually out to be seen (it's a hike to see them, but we can take you there if you'd like). Coqui's singing romantic songs all through the night. Crabs in the creek for the kids to catch. NO large iguanas have been seen here. Small tree lizards is all we've ever seen here. We have a lot of fruit trees on the property. If you see anything ready for the taking let us know and you can partake in the experience of harvesting and eating it. Bananas, avocados, soursop, guava, fig, calabaza, coffee, name, coconuts, pana pen, and more. Clean filtered mountain water is available for purchase. As well we keep a regular supply of Caribbean snacks available. Sweet and savory available for purchase. Exciting.

Finca Bosque en Utuado en tremenda localización en el tope de una montaña. Area comoda para acampar, tiene baño, agua, toilet, lavamanos, area de cocinar y area de fogata. Pueden caminar al rio (15 minutos) dentro de la misma finca. Visitar otros rios cercanos a minutos. Hay supermercados y panaderias a 3 minutos. Se llega por carretera principal. No necesitan 4x4 el camino esta excelente.
