Folks, I can't recommend Barker Gap and Brian enough. I just completed a couple day stay in Site 1 (just me and my dog), and the grounds were immaculately kept and very spacious, the scenery was gorgeous and the hospitality shown by the host (Brian) was off the charts. If you're visiting Brian's neck of the woods, stay in one of his cabins or do like I did and set up the ol' glamper in one of their 3 RV sites. I make you this promise... you won't regret it. Can't wait to come back, wife in tow this time.

What a wonderful experience this was. They have literally thought of everything and do whatever it take to make your experience just perfect. Love everything about it and even if I was local I'd rent and stay at their cabins.

The wife and I loved staying here in our RV. The sites are nice, wide and level. Nothing more you could ask for in a campsite. Very close to Buckhorn trails with lots of riding straight from camp. The hosts are the best! Highly recommend staying here if you're in the area or planning to ride Buckhorn.

Great location, close ride in ~ ride out to the trails. Owners friendly and available to answer questions and provided a map of the trails. I’ll definitely be coming back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to stay. ~ Ken

From the moment we booked the cub cabin until we left, Brian was absolutely amazing! He was very attentive to all my questions and even greeted us when we got there. The cabin was perfect and so was the whole campsite. We will be back for sure!!

The site was perfect! Accommodated our 44 ft fifth wheel perfect. We had easy access to highway 59 where we rode our motorcycles. Brian and his wife Misty were great hosts. We are planning to go back and ride side by sides.

It’s truly a hideaway! From the moment we checked in with the host on Friday, we didn’t see another soul all weekend — and that’s exactly what made it perfect. The peace and quiet here are unmatched. The forest around camp was alive with sounds of nature, and we even had a family of raccoons wander by one evening (so definitely keep your food locked up!).
The views are absolutely breathtaking — sunrise from this site is something you’ll never forget. I captured a few photos from sunrise and even some night shots, and they turned out incredible. This place would be magical in the fall when the colors start to change.
Just like other reviewers mentioned, having a 4x4 or AWD is smart. Our Crosstrek handled it easily, but if it rains, things could get interesting.
If you’re looking for a peaceful, secluded getaway surrounded by nature, Hickman Hideaway is exactly that. We left feeling recharged and can’t wait to come back! 🌲✨

We had the best weekend camping in the Bears Den. The owners were very sweet and the campgrounds were clean and relaxing. The Bears Den was very comfortable and clean.

Quiet and secluded. Owner helped me find the right spot. Ad was a bit misleading as there is a cabin on the wooden platform now. It didn’t affect my stay as I was in a rooftop tent but may be inconvenient for someone who was planning on using it

Very nice place to camp. The RV spots are very well maintained and setup for all the amenities for hook-ups. There is a firepit and a grill at each spot as well. We liked you could ride out of camp and hit the trails. I recommend staying here and will definitely be going back.

It's a very isolated and comfy camp site. We loved our stay. Only word of warning is make sure you have 4 wheel drive or at least are comfortable with a hike to the site. The owner was fantastic and we are very likely to return.

Beautiful campgrounds, it is evident as soon as you pull in that the owners take great pride in their property. The sites are very large with more privacy than most others. This is one of if not our favorite campground in Arkansas. Great access to OHV trails, and easily accessed from I40. We will be back a couple times per year
