Creekside Camp (our main camping area)
is relatively flat, well drained sites along a creek that usually runs. This area offers multiple composting toilets and wood powered hot water bush shower and outdoor bath. There is also a large permanent deep waterhole a short distance from this camping area.
We have temporarily paused out Hill camp sites, due to continuing property maintenance and improvements. If you are looking to get away, put your feet up, switch off and recharge, then this is your perfect spot to enjoy the serenity of farm life with the added mountain views. We have potable bore water, electricity connection, picnic table and bench and firepit. We have three powered caravan sites that can also double up as tent sites. Ideally you should be self sufficient.
Our bore has a solar pump that is rigged up to the water tank at the camp kitchen. Please turn the tap off once you have finished filling up your containers or caravan tanks. Bore water is potable, so can be used for cooking, cleaning, pets, etc.
Any cooking implements and tools that you might need during your stay can be provided at request. Dogs are welcome, just please be mindful of our neighbours. We have ducks, a calf and an older cow that you are welcome to help us feed.
We are also providing special deals on yoga, tai chi, breath work and meditation classes and we have access to the creek in the summer. We have a beautiful forest across the road, which is perfect for walks, trekking or meditation.
Please ensure that you are mindful of our neighbours, kindly refrain from loud noises between 9pm and 7am and clean up after yourselves and take your rubbish with you, as we don't have garbage collection at the property. There is a dump point in town, with garbage bins, for your convenience.
Nanango has a lovely vibe. It's Queensland's oldest and friendliest town. There are great playgrounds, swimming pool and cart racing in town, which is only about 10 minutes away from the farm. Kingaroy is about half an hour away. There is a great off roading spot in the forest that is literally up the road from us.

The Cooke Family welcomes you to “Hopevale”. A beautiful 113 acre property bordered by Wrattens National Park at the edge of the world in the peaceful Widgee district of greater Gympie. Jason, a landscaper by trade, and Jacinta a teacher by profession, met many years ago at a national Christian youth conference. Four beautiful children later and many years down the track, they bought Hopevale as a blank cattle fattening property in 2018. After much hard work, they have made it what it is today, with plans to continually improve.
We have different camp options available, one of which is set up for those guests also wanting to stay with horses or just have a larger group booking.
Guests will have access to a toilet and shower throughout their stay which is within walking distance from each of the campsites. Campfires and pets are welcome.
The property has only had 4 farming owners in its 110 odd years since it was first surveyed and selected in 1915. The Hillcoats, Bishops, Cotters, and now the Cooke’s. The families over the years have used the property for timber getting, dairy, beef and small cropping.
The property is geologically rich with volcanic soils, sandstone escarpments full of caves and overhangs. The mighty Wrattens Falls sits to the back of the property in the National Park and is a sight to behold in full flow. It feeds the head waters of the western branch of Widgee Creek which meanders through the property.
The subtropical dry rainforest clad mountains are dominated by the majestic
Bunya and Hoop pines and are a testament to what once was covering the entire property before being cleared for farming. Remnant riparian creek lines are botanically rich and diverse holding Red and White Cedar, Teak, Silky oak and many other coveted timber trees harvested back in the day.
There are many species of animals and birds that call Hopevale home. From water dragons, frogs and fish in the creeks, monitors, wallabies, deer, koalas, possums and phascogales in the eucalypts. Red-back wrens, pardalotes, rainbow bee-eaters, finches and quail call the open grasses home while whip birds give their iconic call in the forest. Above, birds of prey ride the thermals of the valley looking for their next meal.

Our venue and campgrounds are situated at the old Jimna State School property. The school closed in 2009 with the last students attending in 2006. It was then sold by the Qld government and has been rezoned as a Camping, Recreation and Events Venue. We have retained all the old school facilities for our campers to enjoy. There is a children’s playground and multi-purpose tennis court for everyone to enjoy. We provide tennis rackets, balls and basketballs free of charge to our campers. We loved the location being very close to several very good wineries offering lovely food and friendly service. Our site was water front with great views of Lake Barambah and the many bird species that live on the lake. Spacious site, mown and grassed. Easy to find, very good road in. Clint was friendly and welcoming, we loved seeing his horses, long horn cows, chickens and guinea fowl. We will visit again with family. 10/10

Grandview-Kingaroy is a fabulous place to stay. Kathy, the hostess is a really friendly lady, happy to help out in any way. There’s lush grass to camp on, views to die for, fresh clean air to breath, very quiet, lovely plants and trees to enjoy. Gorgeous sunrise over the mountain tops and the stars at night are so bright. Highly recommend.

Arriving was well sign posted, the grounds are away from other properties enough to feel secluded.
A really reclusive feel about the stay, was perfect for what I was after.
A nice scenic drive into Kingaroy for additional supplies from Bunnings, cafes etc.
5mins drive to a local winery where you can enjoy a damn nice pizza.
I will definitely look to visit here again!

The location is close enough to town for convenience, but still peaceful and relaxing. The campsite is set in a beautiful open paddock with plenty of space, and there’s a lovely creek running alongside it which adds to the atmosphere. It’s perfectly positioned right on the rail trail, making it ideal for walking or bike riding.

Camping at the Dairy at Goomeri was fantastic. Clean well maintained camp grounds and Barry was a great, helpful host. The campground is only 5 minute walk to the town which is very convenient but is also private enough to feel like you are secluded. Would recommend hands down

Beautiful spot on the Dam. We were there Easter Weekend so very busy but we were lucky enough to get waterfront spot and designated camping area is really big so even if busy, everyone spread out far enough not to bother each other. Hubby got the kayak in a few times. Caught some redclaw. Lots of birdlife. Hot enough still that we had a few swims. Dusty Hill Winery next door, beautiful restaurant and had delicious lunch there. The host Clint is a top bloke. We enjoyed our 4 nights, so relaxing. Will be back.

Very nice spot on the lake. Friendly host. We camped over Easter and still had plenty room. 1st come-1st serve so don't expect to get the sites you booked. On the lake also means boat noise all day, so keep that in mind. Nice town nearby and great Irish tavern around the corner.

Great communication! We had Barry meet us and guide us to the camp area, but well signed if he hadnt. We had a lovely stay. Great location near enough to walk to goomeri. So close to the rail trail to take the bikes. Only downside was the tight hill and driveway to get out, struggled a little with our highway tyres. We will definitely come back.

Awesome spot to camp. Great location being right on the rail trail. Easy walk into town. Great spot for dogs with a little creek. Owners were really friendly and welcoming. Very neat property easy to get to and find your way to the camp spot. Even the Porta-loo was nice and clean.
Definitely recommend.
