Wood Spring is a private members only rustic camping club. Hipcampers have access to all 52 acres including our pond, meadow, Little Buffalo Creek, and our hiking trails.
You’ll get a gate combination after confirming your stay. Enter through the gate on our one lane road, cross the shallow creek and end at our large open meadow. If the creek is ever too high to cross, park in the grassy area and walk across foot bridge.

This property is in Orchard Park. It is two acres, surrounded by trees and a fence on three sides, which provides good privacy.
There is a large level area with 30a or 20a electrical available for small campers or very small trailers. Also a hose is available to fill water. This is site one.
Alternatively, I have two great tent spaces (sites two and three) at the back of the property with more private areas to set up tents.
There is a (shared) campfire stone pit at the back of the property. Split firewood is available for $5.00 per armload. Campers can take this from the firewood pile.
Chestnut Ridge park is a 7 minute drive. It has great trails, including the Eternal Flame Hike, and a large fishing pond. Green lake is also nearby with fishing and a good place for paddle boarding or kayaking.
The property is .5 mi from Bills Stadium. Lake Erie and its beaches are a 15 minute drive. Frank Lloyd Wrights gray cliff property is 25 minutes away.Niagara Falls is 35 min. Downtown Buffalo is 18 min. There are walkable restaurants nearby (about .5 to 1 mi).
An indoor restroom is available at specific hours (typically 4pm-8:30 am) or if arranged in advance outside those hours. No shower is available.

Set up camp wherever you like, and even take a kayaking trip down the larger part of the creek, provided the water is high enough (we’re happy to help — we have trackers set up to monitor water levels).
There’s ample space for several tents along the brush before you reach the creek bed. Provided chairs and a small grill will be ready for use upon arrival. A watering hole perfect for swimming is located roughly 0.3 miles down the creek from the entry point.

David is deeply sincere and real. As real as you can get. He is open-minded, curious, and has a warm heart. He truly cares about your needs. Orchard Park is a lovely little town, and when asked about local restaurants and other places to venture, he informed us of great places. This made our stay even richer and more memorable. We are also Bills fans and he shared some local lore which helped us learn more about the history of the area.
We have 3 small chihuahuas and they loved to play ball in his spacious backyard. This is definitely a pet-friendly place to be. All in all, David could not have been a better host.

Everything was so easy here! The feel was that of backyard camping, with luxuries like bathroom, hammock, trash can. Sites were spacious, set well apart and screened, so we felt tucked away despite being super conveniently located to lots of fun things. David was a friendly host with great communication.

Wood springs was beautiful rustic camping. Honestly everything I was looking for. Brought my 6yo, 4yo and 6month old so I’m always struggling to find more rustic sites that are still easily accessible and this perfectly fit the bill. They reached out on their own to let me know that there was another site that was shadier and offered us to go there which was so thoughtful. When we arrived i was a little nervous about how many tents were there- though they’re all very spaced out and private (my kids just don’t sleep so I always worry we will keep others awake), but we only saw 3 people actually there- on a Friday night. So it was very quiet and peaceful. We ended up staying just on the other side of the creek- howick bend? I think it was called. And it was perfect for our 10 person tent, my mini van and room to play. The pond was nicer than I expected on the “beach” side- they clearly take care of it and it’s sandy- there were kayaks and even some life jackets there we could use. We didn’t venture around too much but stroller walking was easy and creek walking was perfect for the kids and me baby wearing. The outhouses seemed nicely dispersed and we were right by one and there wasn’t any smell and they were very well kept. Two of the people we saw talked to us and told us they were members and were happy to help if we needed anything.

A beautiful place to lose yourself in WNY. Close enough to enjoy the small town life in East Aurora and a short trip back to camp for a piece of country.

Steven is a great host. He was there to greet us. He gave options as to where we could setup. I was provide with info on the area and offered additional suggestions on things to do. He is conveniently located to beaches, some cute small towns and things to do including Niagara Falls . We had a great time at his place. I highly recommend staying here.
