We are located in the Santa Fe National Forest, on 6 acres right on the Pecos river and El Macho creek.  You can fish right off the property and explore local hikes. The elevation is 7200 feet in a gorgeous setting surrounded by mountains. We have a pavilion and a huge outdoor kitchen for you to enjoy.

A glamper's delight! Welcome to our romantic, primitive, off-grid A-Frame, where breathtaking views and stargazing await. On a quirky homestead with stunning views in every direction, fall asleep under the vast night sky while coyotes yip and howl. 

Ojo Caliente, Taos, Rio Grande Gorge, Carson National Forest and world-class hiking only minutes away. Enjoy the tranquility and seclusion without sacrificing the proximity to the conveniences of Taos.

Brilliant sunrises and fiery sunsets are the backdrop, but the stargazing is what takes center stage. With strategically placed windows, guests can lay in bed and connect with the cosmos, witnessing the milky way and shooting stars most nights.

Please note, no plumbing or electricity. Solar shower and simple composting toilet provided.

Los Vallecitos Retreat

We have a unique location near the Santa Fe National Forest set on the eastern slopes of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. This camp spot is very private with plenty of room to spread out and enjoy yourself without the restrictions of a campground. The river frontage is right there where you can enjoy the sound of running water.

Enchanted Circle Campground (E<<)

The Enchanted Circle Campground sits on the Avalon Ranch.  It is 161 owned acres surrounded by a state trust lease. We are very proud to have been voted #1 Campground in NM 3 years in a row. 

We have 8 RV/tent sites to choose from. Campfires are permitted, and pets are welcome. Potable water is available as well as a portable toilet. 

Wi-Fi is available at the office and fishing lake. For cooking, bbq and grill over fire pit. With the grill, you will have tongs, a spatula and a grill brush. A fire extinguisher and a shovel.

The property was originally homesteaded in 1893. It was also the first potato farm in NM. It has seven ground-fed springs that run year-round.

They converge after filling 4 of our ponds in the marshland where the potatoes were grown. A family of 4 lived in the first dwelling built here, not much larger than a shed. Since that time 2 homes, 1 of which still stands, a barn, a smokehouse, and 4 outbuildings were constructed. There are old wagons and farm equipment from the late 1800s and early 1900's still strewn about the ranch.

We are home to Huge herds of Elk, mule deer, turkeys, prairie dogs, eagles, black bears, 8 horses, chickens, pigs, goats, our two dogs and 3 cats, and the occasional Mountain Lion.

 We live here year-round. We love our land and want to share it with others.

I am a Veteran and our intent is to eventually have a Veterans Retreat facility here.  Not a retreat itself, but rather a location for all of the retreats, nationwide, to be able to utilize, so they can use the funds they have to do what they do best. You are helping to make that possible.

We do pride ourselves on minimally impacting our land. We strive to keep it clean and as close to nature as we can. We encourage you to leave it better than you found it, as it is only making it that much better. We encourage you to get out and explore.  Trailblaze. Be a pioneer. Go wherever you feel lead.

And as always, Veterans, LEOs, and Fire Fighters are always free for one night up to 4 guests.

Mario's Place

Where the Great Plains meet the Rocky Mountains and where history comes alive. Nestled at the narrowest point of the Santa Fe Trail and Route 66 lies this historic gem that was left to us by the founding member of the famous Texas rhythm and blues band The Nightcaps. Mario's Place is a sweet stop; this quiet little campsite is located just outside of historic Las Vegas New Mexico and approximately 50 minutes from the capital city of Santa Fe and basically in the middle of an outdoor Wonderland . Explore historic Las Vegas New Mexico with Hot Springs, fishing, mountain biking, cycling, snow skiing, kayaking, hunting, and the list goes on and on. From this location you are only 35 minutes from the Pecos River with world-class fly fishing or just 50 minutes to historic Santa Fe with museums and shopping there's really is just too much to list.Learn more about this land:This nice little spot is all about location. 7 acres located right across from the KOA at I-25 and US 84,  10 miles outside of historic Las Vegas NM and just under an hour from the capital city of Santa fe. 

Teco Echo Ranch

2024 UPDATE: 
Spring of 2022 we had devastating Fires and Floods to our property and area.  We need to rebuild and clear and reseed the burned areas. Please keep us in mind for your next visit to our area.

After passing our gardens and animals, you will be in the woods, surrounded by nature. 

Complete with 'sounds of the country' with sheep, chickens, turkeys, and our livestock guardian dogs in the distance. 

Set up your camp in an old growth tree forest. Slowly, you will unwind and relax. A change comes over you, softening and lightening your perceptions of what is important. 

We cherish our woods and invite you to feel the sway of the trees.

We are setting up hikes, walks, and we are rebuilding our Remote Control off road course(Remote Controlled 4x4's ). 

We are rebuilding the Bathhouse Outdoor Kitchen area, lawn games, and all the RV and camping sites.

There is a small fee for the Day- use of the Remote Control course. Message us for specifics.

**If you are attending the RC Festivals in August September, please mention it in your message to us. 

We have a different fee arranged for RC off road 4x4 Festival camping participants. As well as Pancake breakfasts, lunches and grilled dinners in the works.

NOTE:  The fire 🔥 flashed FAST through our woods. Charring trees and bushes. Which will singed for several years. Because of this, there will be more pastured meadows than before. As well as more flowers and underbrush. Keep an eye out for our sheep grazing these new pastures.

With the June and July rains we should have fresh new grass, leaves, plants by the time of your visit.
