My dad first came to this property as a farm hand for the elderly couple who owned it. This was in the 1930's. He met my mother, who lived 6 miles down the road, in 1939. She was just 14. Every Sunday he would ride those 6 miles to have supper with her and her family and in 1940, 2 weeks after her 16th birthday, they married. They traveled around before coming back here, buying a small portion of this farm from the elderly owners and farming the rest for them, but in 1953, the man died (his name was Ernest Ward) in the small concrete house I now use for storage, that my dad had built for he and his wife when he first came to work for them. My parents built a home for his widow in Hatch (14 miles) and bought the farm from her. My family has owned it since. I was gone for 31 years, but returned to the land and place I love and plan to stay here till I die!

Take NM 549 to Franklyn Road. Head south 2.5 miles to El Bordo Rd then head East 1.5 miles to Mito Road. USE THE GPS.
The property located in Luna County about 45 minutes from West of Las Cruces NM, it's a rural countryside setting off Franklyn Rd about 20 minutes SE of Deming.
I suggest you bring a dedicated GPS like a Garman and more reliable then your phone. Be smart print out map, bring a shovel, water, food blankets, mace, a dog and anything else you might need if you get stuck for a day or two.

Welcome to BNC Farms!
We are located smack in the middle of desert in Chaparral, NM. We have two short term rentals on the property. The Desert Dome and Harvey the Skoolie. Both are unique stays. We love to show people the beauty the desert has to offer. We also live on site and are around to answer any questions or help you out.
We want all of our guests to be able to enjoy their stay and have as much privacy as possible. Both stays have a fire pit and their own hang out area.
There are farm animals on the property! Your fur babies are welcome, we only ask you keep them leashed at all time.

You are within easy reach of White Sands National Park, Hueco Tanks Park, Franklin Mountain Park, and all the amenities of El Paso ,Texas. Just 14 miles of the Chile Capital of the World, Hatch, NM, come during chile harvest to take home fresh green chile right out of the field.
21 miles from Las Cruces, where you will find plenty of events and entertainment, should you so desire. Spaceport, America, T or C, White Sands are all within a day's drive, and Fort Selden is just a few miles down the road, as is Blue Moon Bar and Grill.
My dad first came to this property as a farm hand for the elderly couple who owned it. This was in the 1930's. He met my mother, who lived 6 miles down the road, in 1939. She was just 14. Every Sunday he would ride those 6 miles to have supper with her and her family and in 1940, 2 weeks after her 16th birthday, they married. They traveled around before coming back here, buying a small portion of this farm from the elderly owners and farming the rest for them, but in 1953, the man died (his name was Ernest Ward) in the small concrete house I now use for storage, that my dad had built for he and his wife when he first came to work for them. My parents built a home for his widow in Hatch (14 miles) and bought the farm from her. My family has owned it since. I was gone for 31 years, but returned to the land and place I love and plan to stay here till I die!

The property and surrounding views, Mito Road, Caminto Road, Solindo Road and El Ensueno Road are all decent bladed Roads. They sit just south of El Bordo Road, the main drag off Franklyn Road and there is a cable box along El Bordo.
Take NM 549 to Franklyn Road. Head south 2.5 miles to El Bordo Rd then head East 1.5 miles to Mito Road. USE THE GPS.
The property located in Luna County about 45 minutes from West of Las Cruces NM, it's a rural countryside setting off Franklyn Rd about 20 minutes SE of Deming.
I suggest you bring a dedicated GPS like a Garman and more reliable then your phone. Be smart print out map, bring a shovel, water, food blankets, mace, a dog and anything else you might need if you get stuck for a day or two.

Dakota was very quick to respond to my messages. We arrived after dark to a very neat and tidy site, with a very nice and level grass area to pitch our tents. The location is a working, active vineyard, and if we had had more time I would have loved to check out more of it and the wines they offered. We were just on a quick one nighter on our way to Arizona. The bathroom was very clean, the firepit was large and generous; the camping was amazing with coyotes howling all through the night. A very well kept secret just off the beaten path. Thanks for the cool spot, Dakota!

Lawrence & Dina’s Campsite was great. Open space and the amenities were just what we expected. We got there late and left really early but it was wonderful experience. I and my sons watched the stars and I saw two shooting stars. Would definitely recommend camping there. Bathroom was clean and readily accessible from all site. Thanks again Lawrence & Dina.

This stay was exactly what I needed on this trip; a quiet, clean and friendly space to park my van while on a road trip to Marfa, TX from Tucson, AZ. A bonus was the wine bar and patio with a small band playing. I had fine conversations with the friendly and interesting staff. Lawrence & Dina couldn't be better hosts and have a perfect place to stay. Our site had a picnic table under a tree which was perfect for our morning coffee. We got in too late to see the sunset but loved the sunrise. Beware of choosing the "open directions in app" option. Twice it took us the wrong way. Third time was a charm (and verified using the address). If we're in the area again, we'll definitely stay there again.
Also, if you are heading east in the morning and you like old school yet quirky diners, you have to try The Pit on 292 Cafe just outside Los Cruces for breakfast. Great food and character. A fun way to start your journey.

Hacienda RV Resort is not something I would expect to find on Hipcamp. Its a full-fledged RV Resort with all the bells and whistles. The only downside is there's no privacy. So, if you like camping for solitude, this isn't the place, otherwise, its awesome!

Easy to get to with ample space to maneuver our 27' class A and tow vehicle to our site one. Given the fact that site 2 was vacant we were able to drive thru that site to site 1. However, there is ample space to get to either site even if one is occupied.
Ray and Lucille were wonderful hosts and very accommodating. We have a young dog who is new to us and still in training. Their dogs and ours were frequently "talking" to one another due to the proximity of their fenced private area and site 1. After site 2 was vacated by an over nighters rv we switched to site 2 which was a better fit for all.
The location of Pecan Grove was perfect for our week-long getaway. Peaceful, relaxing, cool temps, days trips to: Old Mesilla, Hatch, White Sands NP, Alamogordo, Organ Mtns.
We would stay at Ray and Lucille's anytime again! No hesitations.
