Millennia of history and more has this Taos Valley seen - with the area being a revered hunting ground for the Pueblo and Ute, and traversed by mountain men and traders alike along the Western portion of the Old Spanish Trail. In the early 1900's my great-uncle was fortunate enough to acquire the homestead claim where this location became home to the family cattle grazing and timber operations until the late 1970's. Now comes your opportunity to immerse yourself in the history of the land and area, trek to the additional volcanic cinder cones that dot the landscape of the Taos Plateau, where one has no shortage of hiking trails both on and off the property. Cerro Montoso, Cerro De La Olla, and Cerro Chiflo will make any outdoor enthusiast rejoice. The Miner's Trail leading all the way down to the Rio Grande (only accessible on the West side of the Rio Grande) is 2.5 miles East of the main gate, or soak in the John Dunn Hot Springs located 20 minutes to the south along the main county road. Weekend Trip to Creekside Glamping Tipis on Off-Grid, 70 Acre Working Ranch

Traveling cross country for 3 weeks, I have stayed at a few places and this is one of my favorites! The location is beyond beautiful. Creekside with foot bridges, tipi had everything I needed and MORE! The cows and horses were fun to watch and the hammock next to my tipi beside the creek was so relaxing. I could actually see the Milky Way. Lastly the hosts were so friendly and helpful. Bringing me extra firewood for the awesome stone fire pit I forgot to mention that has beautiful wooden rocking chairs. It’s beyond amazing and unbelievably priced.

Weekend Trip to Creekside Glamping Tipis on Off-Grid, 70 Acre Working Ranch

I love this land in the Tusas Valley - the sounds of elks bugling, coyotes calling, and the Rio Tusas running nearby... Deborah is such a personable and attentive host but never intrusive. The restaurant her family owns over in Tres Piedras is a treasure too. I have stayed in both the yurt and tipis, and they are clean and fitted out with everything you need. Me and my dog were happy to return

Had such a peaceful time camping here. The host was super groovy, accommodating and friendly. I felt super safe. The amenities were super convenient. Wish I had more time! Stellar wildlife and great vibes overall. Would give a zillion stars if I could ☺️

Such a beautiful place. The views are in incredible. We could see the Milky Way and shooting stars at night by the campfire. Listening to the creek and watching the cows and horses was so relaxing. The campsite was well provisioned and comfortable. When Deb said all you need to bring is yourselves and your food she wasn’t kidding. Wonderful, friendly hosts! The nights were cool but we were warm enough with the campstove and covers provided. After a drive one day we ordered carry out from the Chili Line Depot which was so good we stopped in again for breakfast the day we left. Chili Line had helpful friendly staff, too. We hope to visit this amazing ‘Glamp’ site again in the spring.

Nice getaway… by running creek, canoe to putz around pond, bathrooms and grill and stove to cook with. Was happy to be in glam tent when rains came… kept warm with pellet stove. Host very acccomodating

Really fun weekend staying at this tipi! Our super nice hosts were very friendly and the tipi was very nice. We took our bikes and road some forest roads nearby and spent time just hanging out by the creek. It was a great upgrade from car camping and we'd love to come back!

This was exactly the getaway me and my pup were looking for! Beautiful views. Friendly hosts. Clean and maintained property. I had time to enjoy some kayaking and lounging. I will back to take advantage of the yoga yurt and outdoor shower. Highly recommended!

The place was stunning and the hosts were great people! We will definitely be back. Would recommend this stay to everyone. It was so nice to be able to bring our dogs with us a not have to worry about them being on leash the whole time. They had everything we need as well and the set up was great.

1 night at Mudita Camel's Yurt

We had a great time staying on Meghan’s land. We rolled in late for our stay, but had no trouble with the clear instructions she provided. The yurt is truly a treat, coming stocked with camping stove supplies so we were able to cook some light meals. I also really enjoyed the wood-burning stove to keep warm. We also treated ourselves to some camel milk fudge and camel yarn. We stopped here for our trip to Great Sand Dunes, and Meghan recommended we stopped at Sand Dunes Recreation hot springs in Hooper nearby. It was just what we needed! Incredible place for a desert getaway.

1 night at Javali River Glamping

We went up to Javalí very much focused on paddle boarding both at Abiquiu and doing a two hour river paddle. I actually just booked at this property because my friend had already booked a spot there and I had no expectations. Y'all. This is a really special property. We came in and we're immediately drawn to the lounges that were facing the gorgeous river view. When I tell you that we didn't move from there for at least an hour. Complete & total nervous system reset immediately. There are so many thoughtful amenities around the property, including a gazebo with mosquito screen for later in the evening with a gas fire pit also facing the river, an open use yoga yurt, gas barbecue, hammock, hammock swing, lawn games, the sweetest baby goats, huggable donkeys, and super fantastic vibes. The hosts are authentic, relatable, kind, open, helpful, communicative and truly lovely people. We will definitely be back. If you are considering this spot, just do it. You won't regret it.

We absolutely loved staying here! The property was beautiful and it was a great place to come back to after a busy day of exploring. Our kids loved running around the property and seeing the cows and horses. We would stay here again!

3 nights at Javali River Glamping

We stayed in the Blue Bird. It was cozy, clean and had everything we needed. Robin our host was super responsive whenever I had questions. The privacy and the view were great. We loved the property. It was both beautiful and peaceful. There are lots of birds to see. They had some friendly dogs. There were fantastic views of the stars at night. We would 100% stay there again. I stayed with a friend. She stayed in the bed and I slept on the couch and it worked out perfectly for us.

Weekend Trip to Javali River Glamping

Amazing grounds, Plenty of room. It was just me and my dog and three other people sharing another RV. I had the Bluebird. One stayed for one night because of the smoke from fires coming from Arizona and Colorado. My little puppy just couldn’t catch his breath. Other than the smoke. I wish I could’ve stayed longer. The hosts were friendly and accommodating.
