BlueberryHill Field Camp

6 sites · Lodging, RVs, Tents50 acres · Goshen, VT
The field is adjacent to the Blueberry Hill Inn and Outdoor and in the heart of the Green Mountain National Forest and Moosalamoo Recreation Area. Great sunsets! We offer access to outdoor showers with hot and cold running water and toilets in the nearby Outdoor Center. There is an internet connection near the buildings but not necessarily at your site. You can drive your car to the site. There is privacy between the sites though occasionally there are other tents in the open field. You can forage for wood for a small fire or you can request 'bundles' (a small cartful) to be available upon arrival. Wood from outside Vermont is not allowed. Access to many hiking/biking/running trails just outside your tent door. We are stewards of these trails and your camping fees help to support our work. Nearby swimming, kayaking, and canoeing are available too. We provide trail maps upon arrival and you can also view them online from our webpage at Blueberry Hill Inn. Blueberry picking on-site in August. Don't want to cook? Packed lunches are available. Check out our website at Blueberry Hill Inn for Pizza by the Pond nights.

When I came to Us from Argentina, my boyfriend own a piece of land. When i moved here we decided to buy the rest 44 acres. We are a family of 3  living in Warren, Vermont.25 goats, 10 chicken, 2 dogs, Constancia, Lucia and Kevin.8 years ago a friend gave us a belly goat, we called him Manolo. Then another friend gave us 3 girls, Maybe, Maggie and Ginger. Ginger was the mom, and they gave us 2 babies the first year. Sesame and Manolito, since then, we have been growing and growing, having now, 25 goats, milking 10 mothers, by hand. With all the fun, that is involve with a farm, we have been making cheese in our kitchen and building a barn. It is time to get the license, for cheese making, and here is when we need your help.We need 20.000 to finish building the barn, with a kitchen, a bathroom, an industrial pasteuriser, a septic system, and much more. That is why we are asking you to chip in a help us finish our dream. If you will like to support small farming please learn about our La Lu farm go to go fund me, We have been doing a CSA, in wich Constancia drives around her Suburu and delivers the cheese, to many awesome supporters at the farm. We are truly greatfull, for their support, but we need more. We need you!Chip in, share with a friend, stop by, try our cheese, be a part of our dream.Luckily we have been able to share our farm, with many woofers, with many schools, yurt lovers and community members, that enjoyed coming to the farm and learn how to milk, how to make cheese, and how to take care of the grapes.La Lu farm: Local Agricultural land use on lincoln Gap rdLa Lu farm is a small goat farm located in the green mountains of Vermont , in Warren. The Argentinean Constancia Gomez and Ex Sugarbush executive chef Kevin Ritchie innovate everyday with new recipes coming up with the best fresh goat cheese flavors in town. We are artisan cheese producers. We are farming 48 acres mostly wooded both sides of Lincoln Brook, on Lincoln Gap rd. We are reclaiming some meadows. We have 26 goats, 20 chickens. Milking now 10 mothers by hand, making cheese in small batches fresh, every day. We make 7 types of cheeses:Chevre, mozzarella, feta, queso blanco, apple wood smoked queso blanco, type of Manchego, and a ripened cheese. Our goal is to preserve and protect the land while using organic principles to produce products for local consumption and enjoyment. Our Chèvre is a fresh, smooth creamy goats spread, with a little bit of tang with hints of berry bushes and clover. Great for appetizers, to mix with herbs, spread on toast with butter, to add to scramble eggs and much more! Our queso blanco is spanish for white cheese, latin america specialty. This cheese is a firm cheese, with a fresh mildly sweet flavor. Great for cooking! Does not melt while fried or grilled! Take on the flavor of the food and spices in a recipe! Our Apple wood smoked queso blanco is spanish for white cheese and is marinated in olive oil, balsamic vinegar and salt. Great for cooking, for appetizers and for salads. Our Feta is strongly flavored salted cheese, originated in Greece. Often crumbled in little pieces on salads or tacos. Our goat Mozzarella is a firm style cheese with with a slight tang. Good on pizzas, flat bread or marinated with basil and tomatoes. Thanks for supporting local farmers.Stop by for a mate, and pet the goats, milk them, feed them and share the love for nature.

Good Night Moon Vintage

5 sites · Lodging12 acres · Hartland, VT
Looking for a warm and cozy space?  Our vintage trailers are just the spot!  Our property is heavily wooded and late spring through fall are great times to enjoy the outdoors.  Our 12+ acres are beautifully wooded with our pond as the central point of interest. Original stone walls surround the property and wildlife abounds. Camping with a trailer is a fun experience for the adventurous.  While we do not have a kitchen, we provide an outdoor 3 burner propane grill, BBQ grill and smoker, shared refrigerators, pans, utensils, and dishwashing area, Our picnic table and chairs are under our post and beam hemlock pavilion.  The trailers are vintage, not new. Bring anything else that you want to add for your own comfort, such as a cooler and ice.  We suggest bringing flashlights and rain gear.  There are many choices for dining in our area if you prefer to eat out.  Our Curtis Wright is 74 years old and the El Rey is 65.  Please expect some vintage aspects, such as door handles, screens, windows, awnings etc. that function according to their age.  These are not new modern trailers and we think that adds to the appeal! However they are clean and cozy! Your trailer is down by the pond, with  the composting outhouse, stove and BBQ grill.  Our sweet wildlife clay bottom pond is pristine, spring fed, and has an abundance of wildlife in and around it.  You may even see the barred owls hunting for frogs at night.  Both trailers are pondside, the El Rey is across from the Curtis Wright.  Swimming is allowed during daylight hours only and it is "Swim at your own Risk". Please read the house rules regarding rinsing off prior to swimming and refraining from getting suntan oil etc. in the pond. We rent either the 1955 El Rey or our 1947 Curtis Wright Airstream.  Nights can be chilly so be prepared with warm clothes.  Please be aware of weather conditions as rain can impact your camping!  That’s part of what makes it so fun to be inside a trailer instead of in a tent on the ground!   You are welcome to build a fire in the fire pit and toast marshmallows or grill.... Kindling is available as fallen branches however for larger wood, please purchase locally for whatever you intend to use, or order from us.  We do ask that you start your fire the old fashioned way and do NOT use gas, diesel etc. which will leech into the pond and harm our wildlife.  We usually have wood on site for sale, advance request is much appreciated and please pay upon arrival with cash, $10 per ample sized bundle and $15 for a bag of charcoal. We do not deliver wood after 5pm so please be sure to order in advance. Our wonderful resident bats do a great job at night clearing insects!  Sit out by the pond and watch them arrive at dusk!   Our Phoebe Flycatchers build their mud nests all over the property and have 2 baby bird hatchings usually by mid-summer.  They help keep insects down as well.  If it’s a clear night, the stars are usually amazing in the sky over the pond. We live up in the house we are still building above the trailers and are available to you at arrival and if you need us. We prefer that you do contact us with your needs to ensure a great experience.  For showers, guests can make the 5.7 mile drive down to Quechee State Park and pay a $4 day fee to use the solar showers which take quarters.  The park closes mid October each year.   If you reserve after that date there will not be showers available. Our place is close to Woodstock and Quechee VT. You’ll love us if you enjoy a natural setting on a mountain. We are best for couples and solo adventurers. It is a rustic environment with a great wildlife pond and woods surrounded by old stone walls. Get out and explore the area and come home at night to the cozy vintage trailer. Our 1955 El Rey OR our 1947 Curtis Wright Airstream are our seasonal rentals, a cozy 20 feet in length. If one is rented we will give you the other trailer. The beds are somewhere between a full and queen, we provide fresh linens, pillows, blankets. Each trailer has front table and seating area, outside are two Adirondack chairs and an umbrella. The El Rey has its own smaller private fire pit and a small grill.  You may cook on the shared 3 burner propane stove near the pavilion. We have firewood and charcoal for sale onsite with 24 hour advance notice.   Included in your stay is salt and pepper, organic tea, electric kettle, complimentary coffee and cream. We have our filtered well water available. We also have basic dishes, silverware and pots and pans for use. For chilly nights we have a small electric heater in the camper closet and extra blankets. There is a fan for when it’s warmer. Our composting toilet is inside a small barn structure with bug repellent and a first aid kit. For showers, head down to Quechee State Park and for a $4.00 entrance fee, use their solar showers which take quarters. PLEASE NOTE- you do not have our property to yourselves. We live onsite and on any given night, both trailers can be rented. They are across the pond from each other. The cook station, picnic table/benches under the pavilion and composting toilet are communally used. We do give our guests privacy but we are available to assist with needs by phone, or if you see us on the property. We will close camp in October and re-open each May.  IMPORTANT-PLEASE PLAN TO CHECK IN BETWEEN 3 and 6:30 pm. We understand that you may wish to arrive later at the end of your day, but this is not a location where we can accommodate arrivals after dark. We need to show you the nuances of the trailers, cook station, composting outhouse and property. After checking in, you can head back out for dinner, shopping etc. as we are a mere 5 miles from Quechee. We further request that you communicate your arrival time no later that early the day of so that we can greet you. We plan our day around your arrival and ask that you respect our time as well. Unfortunately we are experiencing too many guests who choose to arrive well after dark, which impacts our availability to provide you the best check in service and interrupts our evening late into the night. Please communicate with us early in the day if you experience hardship regarding arrival time and we can discuss options.   Any photography done with our property must be for personal use only and not professional use nor intended for publication. You must have advance (prior to arrival) permission for professional photography which will also require a contract for fees and terms. We also must restrict the use of our property to registered guests only, not your friends. We also require that you commit to requirements such as no smoking or open flame in trailers, use of pond, etc. All guests swim and hike our property at their own risk.  We ask that you only swim during daylight hours.  We are NOT a clothing optional space. Please respect all guests by swimming in appropriate clothing.  Thank you.  We reserve the right to refuse service.
