The BAR 0 1 hipcamp is brand new The bar 01 hip camp will be closed for the winter months starting October 1st will reopen April 1st which features approximately 60 acres of beautifully secluded campsites situated around a 2 acre reservoir. Property is conveniently located 3 miles from the intersection of I-90 and I-15.
Directions:
• West on I-90 from the intersection of I-90 and I-15 2 miles to the Ramsay exit 216.
• Continue West on N Ramsay Rd 1 mile to 805 N Ramsay Rd.
• Turn right onto the upper gravel road and continue north 1/2 mile to the campsites.
Camping sites:
• No tents, self contained only
• Numbers 1 through 4 will accommodate large RVs or motorhomes.
Other things to note:
• Large spaces
•No electric, water, or sewage.
•No trash pickup
• Pack-it-in, Pack-it-out
All campers must be able to provide for themselves.

We loved the green tractor for pics! Waking up to the beautiful stream sounds was lovely. Holly is very communicative and helpful. The property is beautiful although I wasn’t sure where the property lines were so I hope I didn’t intrude on someone’s land. We missed the pigs though.

This was an amazing camping experience. We were the only campers so had the whole grassy area to ourselves. It is right on the river and there are a few other public river access spots nearby so we checked out all of them. We biked up the mountain and around town as well — there is a school playground a block or two away that my kids (ages 4-9) liked. The spot is at the end of a small town (Melrose)—so not in the middle of nowhere, just FYI. The piggies were the best part! They’re such funny creatures and we enjoyed getting to know them. Holly is such a nice person and obviously cares about her guests and pets! Definitely recommend.

Lovely quiet spot. Easy to access. We stayed up in a site tucked into the sagebrush and loved the solitude. Even with a 28’ trailer it was pretty easy to get in and out. Would definitely look to stay there again if we swing through Butte.

This was an awesome spot to get away with the family. Holly was a great host and her property is top notch. Easy access to fishing and lots of activities, plus a great treat getting to visit the pigs. We had excellent cell service at the site and the town of Melrose had a few food options when cooking wasn't in the cardmla. Definitely recommend!!

This was great! I personally fly fish more than I should, and my wife is an animal lover! The best of both worlds!
I’m surprised my wife didn’t try to steal a pig!
Holly, the host, and her entire family were welcoming, friendly and fun to chat with!
This spot is perfect! Highly recommend you stay in the Silo! As this is almost and exact half way point for a trip that we make often, we definitely will be coming back!

I had a great night camping on Holly’s land! The mountain views were gorgeous! I especially loved the tour of Holly’s pig farm - I learned so much, and the pigs were absolutely adorable. As a woman traveling alone, I felt very safe camping there. I wish I could have stayed longer!

Easy to find, and easy on and off the highway! I stayed 4 nights and enjoyed the privacy (I was the only camper 3 of the 4 nights). I could hear the highway at night, but it was never a bother, Scott clearly put of time and effort into making his property a very nice place for travelers like myself. I left my camp trailer there all day to recreate in the area of the Continental Divide Trail and felt comfortable that it was in a safe, and secure place. I will come there again hopefully later this summer or fall.
