Robert's Redneck Retreat is located on about 16 acres of pasture and 58 acres of forested land with a creek and trails running through it. Our property also adjoins 1200 acres of the Mark Twain National Forest, dotted with springs, trails, rivers, lakes, ponds and breathtaking views. We have three small cabins on the property that are spaced out for privacy. There are also potential for tent camp sites.My husband and I love nature, farming, gardening, and sharing time with like-minded individuals. Our dream is small scale hobby farming adjoined with cabin rentals, allowing trees to regrow in places that were once pasture in order to do our part to help maintain habitat for wild animals and plants. It is a balance that we love and it is our pleasure to share this property with you. We are new here, but we are not new to the camping world; we have been helping campers have positive experiences since 2013 and already have over 170 positive reviews on Airbnb. We would love for Hip Campers to come experience our brand of cabin camping, with farm and forest experiences.A little history of the surrounding area: The Mark Twain National Forest was stripped by loggers in the 1800's and was purchased by the government as a preserve. Since then, it has regrown into hardwood forest, dotted with remnants of pine. It feels wild and untouched, despite knowing it's history. And within it, it harbors all manner of waterways, wildlife, plants, and fungi beyond your imagination. We love southern Missouri and hope you come catch a taste of the wildness that is the Forest. Disconnect, unplug, lose your cell signal, and come find yourself in the woods :)

We bought this property to enjoy our horses and cattle as well as the small animals including our rabbits , chickens , ducks , and more . We turned one of our barns into a place to have music and line dancing, however over time it turned into a perfect place for weddings and gathering events. We enjoy meeting the people who visit our farm . The sunsets behind the barn are therapeutic and soothing to the soul! Our small animals are the heart of the farm. We enjoy them and our guests are welcome to enjoy them as well. Learn more about this land:You won’t forget the peaceful surroundings of this rustic destination. Beautiful views and so much fun interacting with the animals. Very pet friendly, our dogs did well on the tether we brought. Cabin was perfect and had no issues with heat/cold. We had a great stay, thank you!

Weekend Trip to Delightful 1 bedroom peaceful tiny house
We loved every second of being at this tiny home! Melissa and Rick’s farm is so beautiful, right next to the house are horses with a very friendly horse Bubba who will come and greet you. On this property there are an assortment of animals: cows, chickens, cats, the CUTEST dogs, and friendly goats. Rick is so friendly and took my boyfriend and I on a tour and it was our favorite part of this trip, we didn’t want to leave!! Inside the Home there is a microwave, tv with dvd player, plates and cutlery, an electric skillet, clawfoot tub and a shower. There is no kitchen sink so we just used bathroom sink to do dishes, wasn’t too much of an issue. Outside is a bench perfectly located so you can enjoy the sunset, which you’re going to because they are truly magical. You can make a campfire and there is also a grill available. Was a great time and we are already talking about coming back, Melissa and Rick are amazing!!

Weekend Trip to Delightful 1 bedroom peaceful tiny house
I honestly don’t even know where to begin with this place. It met every expectation and added more. The land is beautiful, with slightly rolling hills, but in those hills are about 30 different horses with a whole cascade of personalities, and about 20 cows and calves(watching the calves play is so cute, I was giggling like a maniac all weekend). Rick (Melissa’s husband) is such a great host, he has a story for every animal on his property, and you can tell that he loves being out there. Besides the cattle’s and horses, there’s a wide array of birds such as guinea fowl and peacocks, goats and chickens, some beautiful country pigeons, and even a domesticated raccoon named Captain(who has more personality than the rest of the animals combined). The retired hunting dogs that live on the property are SO excited to see a new face and to get pet, along with a few of the smallest, cutest dogs I’ve ever seen in my life. The house itself is also a treat! They provided a mini fridge, microwave, and a decent sized electric skillet for cooking, along with a coffee pot and Keurig(with coffee supplied!). There’s also a small tv with a dvd player attached, and a wide assortment of movies. The bathroom was wicked cool, my girlfriend really loved ending our second day with a good soak in the clawfoot tub, but there’s also a shower in case you get dirty from petting horses out in the field with Rick. All in all, this place was something incredible, we will 110% be back to stay in here again!!

Weekend Trip to Robert's Redneck Retreat, LLC
Highly recommend!!! It was such a relaxing time. The views are absolutely beautiful, expesicially around sunset! The cabin was nice and clean! Easy to find! Amazing and down to earth hosts!!! Getting to be surround by nature and farm animals was just so peaceful. I enjoyed not having cell service and truly getting to take a step back and just enjoy life and time with my soulmate! Absolutely recommend and will be returning!

A great secluded little cabin in the woods where our dogs could run around off leash. We stayed in the winter this time and the wood stove heat was very nice. Like taking a step back into time 100 years!

Great stay! From the cabin to the land and surrounding area, this place is beautiful recluse and creates a truly peaceful and enjoyable stay. I guarantee that you could ask for better hosts. I will most definitely be returning and very highly recommend a stay here. It was exactly what I was looking for. Truly awesome experience.
