This spot is absolute perfection. It's a gorgeous, secluded, yet very convenient location with St Robert, MO only 10-15 minutes away. We wanted something that was directly on the river, private, and had good fishing/swimming/floating spots nearby. It checked all of the boxes and more! Not to mention Mary is the nicest, most respectful, and accommodating host you could ask for. I seriously doubt we could have found a better spot on the Big Piney than Cedar Mere. This place is a paradise!

Staying at Cedar Mere Riverside felt like stepping into a little fairytale. We chose the Hobbit Hollow site, and it truly lived up to its name — quiet, tucked away, and wonderfully secluded. From the moment we arrived, we felt like we had stumbled upon a secret hideaway meant just for us. The sounds of the river and the peaceful surroundings made it easy to unwind and enjoy the simple beauty of nature. Our host, Mary was incredibly kind and accommodating, making sure we had everything we needed without ever disturbing the sense of seclusion. It was the perfect balance of comfort, magic, and solitude — an experience we’ll treasure and can’t wait to return to.

We had a lovely time and very private. Our goal was to sit in the water, relax and do a lot of nothing. We succeeded! We do plan to go back another time when we have a bit more time and the heat index is lower than 102 degrees!

We LoVeD this spot!
Mary was very accommodating and we are so grateful that she shares this beautiful space, right next to the Big Piney river! Our site was level with charming details such a fancy grill, outdoor shower, outdoor sink, floaties,... and of course electric and water right there. And all of that just off I44!
We will for sure be back!

Nice quiet spot within easy distance of the highway. The site was well-lit and easy to find. I had a great view of the starry sky. Much of the area is sloped, and it may be difficult to find a truly level spot to set up, but this is a great place to stay nonetheless.
