Please make a reservation in advance.) Although we cater to adults only we follow TNSF and AANR guidelines for social nude recreation. Sunset Mountain is near the Elk River in Noel Missouri and close to Northwest Arkansas where there are mountain biking trails, museums and many other activities. Sunset Mountain is listed on the Monarch Butterfly Waystation registry as well. Come stay on the buff bluff!

Loved camping here. The alpacas scared my mom, but they’re not aggressive - just very assertive. They reminded me of Thing 1 and Thing 2 haha. If you keep your hand up and let them smell you, they will accept you onto their property.
The other animals were very sweet and like other campers, the white donkey greeted and stayed with us until we finished setting up. If I ever pass through this part of the country again, I will definitely stay here.

We loved our stay at Bentonville Bike Camp. Jason and Julie were great hosts. We were able to gravel bike right from camp and mountain. Bike trails were only a couple miles away. Short drive to Bentonville for dinner. We will definitely be back.

Mason’s Land site #2 was one of the nicest campsites I have ever been on. It was clean, the host was very thoughtful by leaving basic (and very needed) supplies in the compostable toilet’s outhouse. The site was private and all of the trails around. It were well marked. I believe a lot of care goes into this place. I’m glad I found it by chance. It will not be the last visit here. Road access was OK. But if you tried to go to site three, you may need a higher clearance vehicle. Overall, I give this place an A+.

I highly recommend this place! We camped in the meadows. We were there for the Pro-cup bike race and had to travel 30 miles to the Centennial Park each of the 4 days , but would stay here again anyway. We enjoyed everything about the place. All the little sleeping huts are adorable, too. Our campsite was quiet and a beautiful setting. Jason and Julia were friendly and we really enjoyed watching their boys ride around on their bike laughing and singing. We were invited to a campsite community fire,which was nice. The showers and bathrooms were great! Hot water and very clean. This was close to many trail systems and the Castle bike park. They have great maps of the trails posted on site. We'll be back if our granddaughter races again.

Sites were spacious. I was in a non electrics site however there is an outlet in the middle of the non electric sites for all to share. Bathrooms and showers were clean. I biked to back 40 area from camp which was about 2 miles at best and TJ following day I biked to slaughter pens, twin and koller. Also a 2 mile ride to town but to decent hills to be aware of. I appreciated just leaving my vehicle. Highly recommend.

My family and I spent a few days camping at cold creek valley. We had picked the creekside camp site #2. This was perfect site for our little teardrop and rtt setup. Mason was very accommodating and can tell he takes a lot of pride in taking care of the place. The camp site was very nice and well thought out. Made it easy to enjoy the positives of dispersed camping without any of the negatives. From the clean composting toilets on each site to the well marked trails. We had a lot of fun and will definitely be back. Loved checking out the trails and playing in the creek. The location of the camp made it easy for day trips to Branson and eureka springs. With it being a private gated property we had no issues leaving our camper and gear at camp while we went out for the day.

Julie & Jason have a really relaxed and comfortable space for camping. Very close to the bike trails at Slaughter Pen & Coler, and just a few minutes from downtown Bentonville. Site 9 was perfect. Flat parking for our van with a nice picnic table and fire pit next to the creek. The bathrooms were clean and the private showers were amazing!!!!!! Honestly, all the sites here looked great. We highly recommend Bentonville Bike Camp and will definitely be back.

I’m so upset I found this spot so late in the game. I’ve been driving between Chicago and Austin for years. Out of all the places I’ve stopped to camp along the way this was the most comfortable, convenient and felt safe at. I was going to camp in my car but Julie let me know it was going to be freezing when I got here and let me know about the A Frames. (Super cozy) This will officially be my spot moving forward.

Where to go
Grand Lake State Park
Oklahoma’s Grand Lake O' The Cherokees has an astounding 46,000 acres of water, making it one of the largest in Oklahoma. Grand Lake State Park is located on its shores and encompasses several smaller lakes. Fishing, boating, paddling, and watersports abound. Honey Creek Campground is the closest to Noel. Tent and RV sites offer various amenities, with water/electric hookups and concrete pads available.
Northwest Arkansas
South of Noel, you’ll find one of Arkansas’s most hopping regions, where the cities of Bentonville, Fayetteville, and Rogers come together, along with several small towns, to create a mini-metro area, full of foodie-approved restaurants, cultural attractions, and a chic downtown. Several private RV parks and glamping rentals are found across the region, providing easy access to all of the shopping and dining options, as well as the natural beauty of the Boston Mountains. Public campgrounds are found along the shores of Beaver Lake and in Devil’s Den State Park, which offers cabins in addition to the tent and RV sites.
Roaring River State Park
Approximately an hour east of Noel, Roaring River State Park is a scenic spot best known for the trout fishing found in the spring-fed waters. Biking and hiking trails meander through the Ozark woodlands, some offering views of unique rock formations and sparkling waterways. Tent and RV campsites are offered, some with electric hookups. Rustic cabin rentals are also available.
When to go
Thanks to the waterways, summertime is a popular time to visit Noel. The refreshing waters provide relief from the heat and humidity of summers in southern Missouri. If you don’t plan to make a splash, spring and fall are also good times to visit, as wildflowers and green leaves make their spring appearance and fall delights with the annual autumnal colors. Winter is generally cold, with occasional bouts of snow and ice, making it a less pleasant time for camping.
