The cabin has a loft, galley kitchen, and a small bathroom with shower. Less than 20 minutes away from I-70, just over 30 minutes from Columbia, MO. This trip couldn’t have been any better. Wendy has thought of absolutely everything inside the cabin and the land outside is incredible. So many extras: hot tub, games, beautiful sitting areas inside and out, walking trail, and more. The picture window in the cabin defies description. We had a perfect week. I cannot recommend this place enough!! We’ll be back.

This cabin hidden in the hills of Missouri was a most excellent stay! Host was working in the yard when I arrived. Greeted me with all kindness. Explained the cabin layout, parking, etc. & the whole weekend was splendid! Had the cabin all to myself & that downstairs bed sucked me in. I could have did more for the weekend in & around the area but I actually enjoyed much peaceful rest more than anything. The host was excellent, the cabin was clean, just as pictured and well enjoyed. Host provided any & everything I may have needed. Definitely, I find myself back in the area, I’ll try & book this stay again. In the quiet country, near the Missouri River, tons of hiking/kayaking in & around, State Parks & trails. Only 35 minutes from the great college town of Columbia, GO TIGERS! Plenty of room for 3/4 residents in this small, quaint, quiet, country cabin! Loved it! :-)

With kids
Our goal was to unplug and spend time as a family for spring break and this was the perfect place for that. We loved our stay at this cabin! The homestead provided great scenery, there were plenty of roads to walk and view the farms and Missouri River.
The cabin was clean with bedding and towels provided. There was plenty of cookware and utensils. A single propane burner was available inside and there was a gas grill and fire pit outside. We enjoyed grilling and making s’mores and listening to all the beautiful birds and frogs. The rain on the metal roof was also very peaceful (to us anyway!).
Great hosts that were helpful and provided insights into the local area and their homestead. Really lovely people!

House was great, lots of cooking options (oven, stove top, grill). Bathroom was beautiful. Hot tub was warm and ready to go. Fire wood was provided at fire pit! The biggest picture window I've seen, with a amazing view to the pond and bird feeder.

The cabin on Wendy’s land was a perfect place to unwind and enjoy some solitude away from the city! The cabin had everything we needed and the large windows to watch the birds were amazing! The property had a 1 mile trail that was great for getting out to stretch our legs and our dogs enjoyed exploring the woods! We highly recommend!

Completely positive experience.
Good bang for the buck. Would visit again.
For anyone traveling by motorcycle, the last 3/4 miles in are gravel which is easily manageable when dry but which would test you when wet. Ride up and down 87 and 179 makes it all worth it though..
