We have 40 acres of woods, tiny waterfalls, hiking, stargazing, bird watching, and sunset watching for the campers who like primitive camping. Blackberry's are available to pick in late June or early July. There are three logging trails that you can bush wack your way through just behind the campground. There are cliffs, and plenty of scenery to enjoy. We are a short drive away from Eureka Springs, Turpentine Creek(big cat sanctuary), War Eagle Cavern, and War Eagle Mill. Hobbs State National Park is close by off Scenic Highway 12, with biking, and walking trails galore! We are also close to many of the NW Arkansas mountain biking trails in the area! Access to Beaver Lake is a short drive or a long hike down the scenic rock roads. Due to the remote, and private location, we want to remind everyone that consuming alcohol under the age of 21 will not be tolerated. Safety is very important to us. Cute little cabin. It is literally right behind the boardwalk. So pros and cons there. We were there during the week and surprisingly it wasn't loud. They are very clean. Linens were clean. Bed was decent, yet i slept. There is defiantly rules and restrictions, none that worked against us. Recommend asking questions, they are very responsive and have front desk phone support. The pool closed early and opened late, so that was unfortunate, if you were having plans most of the day. They were still working out the kinks on some of the bonus amenities. The bathrooms/showers were clean, yet could use a little upgrade. But for the price it was a great little stay, and would stay again.

Mizzy met all my expectations and more. Her land was beautiful and well taken care of. She was very attentive yet gave me and Scooby Doo plenty of space to do our own thing. I felt extremely safe on her land and absolutely recommend solo females to stay here. My dream trip! Thanks Mizzy :)

1 night at Explore the Ozarks - Dockley Ranch
I was invited 4 years ago and finally made it. I desperately needed time to myself (alone) to reset and to find peace. Dockley Ranch is a sanctuary, a place to just sit still and feel the natural beauty of this planet. I had everything I could need including coffee. Instructions were clear. I was welcomed by employees who gave a tour of my cabin and explained how every thing worked including a friendly visit from the Alpaca.
Recommendation. Bring bug spray for the trail. I brought some amazon boxes to use as a fire starter. Bring flip flops for the shower or to have in hand to enjoy the waterfall. Follow their driving directions and drive slow. Enjoy the views. I plan on bringing my children next.

I loved everything about it. Quiet calm out in the country with horses and cows just down the hill! The vintage view was in great condition and had everything we needed for my husband, me and our two dogs. They are also pet friendly so that is always a must in my books! I could watch the sun set through the bedroom windows. The hosts were very friendly and we will be coming back to stay again and book a trail ride next time!

Excellent stay for a camping without the tent experience! Please be aware that Mizzys camp spot is very much in the wild, there are lots of ticks, insects, wild animals etc. You can grab wood at her place for $5 bucks or bring your own. The RV has great air conditioning, a bathroom, and enough space to sleep 3, but the 3rd sleeping arrangement is best for kids or shorter adults.
Very difficult to find in the dark so I would strongly recommend arriving at first in the daylight so you can get your bearings.

We had no problems getting to the site and we're pleased when we did. It's absolutely beautiful! My adult son and I rented the hippy van for 3 nights. We loved the details and vibe of the whole place! We saw deer and rabbits and had a campfire every night. Our favorite was the Tea Party area! Also, Mizzy is amazing! She's tentative and thoughtful and has the absolute best personality and story! Highly recommend staying here for a chill getaway.

Four nights here is the perfect amount of time to reset and return to the world. Recommend the route from the East through Alva even if you have to circle around. Double recommend if you have passengers prone to motion sickness. Triple recommend because Alva is cute, and has Melancholy Coffee Roasters.

Weekend Trip to Buffalo River Glamping
We loved glamping on Katherine's property for a Buffalo River float trip. The website photos are accurate, and everything was in great shape and very clean. It is a pristine natural getaway, and very quiet except when the birds and owls were chatting. There was plenty of wood for campfires in the evening. Katherine and her husband Tom were very pleasant and helpful, and obviously enjoy helping others enjoy the beauty of the area. Highly recommend, and hope to go back!

1 night at Enchanted Ozark Fairytale Camp
From start to finish, this was an absolutely wonderful and enchanting experience that I will never forget. Mizzy is an exceptionally gracious host, warm, welcoming, and clearly passionate about the magical space she has created. The property itself is truly one of a kind, a healing, off-the-beaten-path gem that is well worth every mile of the drive to get there. My only regret is that I didn’t have more time to stay and soak it all in for a couple more nights, as I had to move on to continue my road trip, but I left with a full heart and am already planning my return. This place has earned a permanent spot at the top of my list for my next cross-country adventure. If you are even remotely considering it, just book it. 10/10, I cannot recommend this highly enough!

With pets
My three young kids, our dog and I spent a few nights in the ‘66 van and it was an absolute dream!
Two built in beds with comfortable mattresses and enough space for us to sit and play games in between. I fit great with my 6 and 3yo while my oldest got his own side of the van. Every night we got great sleep! There was even a small fan and lights provided.
The van itself is so beautifully designed you can tell so much love was put into it and that radiates through the rest of the property as well. We very much appreciated the clean bathrooms with flushing toilets, the hammocks spread throughout ( our favorites being by the pond and creek), and the well maintained trail adorned with artwork of all sorts made for an easy and whimsical hike just perfect for the kids and still an adventure for me.
Mizzy was so wonderful, considerate and a pleasure to get to know! We added on fairy crown crafting and a tea party and had so much fun learning the local edible and ornamental plants and flowers. She had endless patience for the kids and they’d like to return some day just to spend more time with her- I couldn’t agree more!
I left this trip feeling totally restored and a little magical myself , which was exactly the goal.

Weekend Trip to Rocky Acres Retreat
Arriving we were greeted by the beautifully stoic hills and a dog resembling an old man greeting us yet remaining sceptical of our existence. Stepping out of the car we took our time breathing in the crisp, clean ozark air. The property is certainly tucked away creating a personal oasis. We happened to be the only campers that evening. Our airstream experience gave us all of the creature comforts we could desire for the nights stay we had. In the morning we were saddened to leave but very excited knowing such a place existed for us to return to.
