We turned one of our barns into a place to have music and line dancing, however over time it turned into a perfect place for weddings and gathering events. If there are any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to reach out. Other things to note While this space provides most utilities and amenities you'd find at your home, it is important to note it is still a camping-style getaway. We do our best to treat the area, but you will encounter insects. AT&T has limited cell phone reception in the area, Sprint is very spotty, and Verizon is pretty much unavailable for service. We provide the best free wifi available to help with communication back to the real world, but it is rather slow. The best wifi reception is near the General Store/Courtyard. We try and keep the area well maintained. You may see ATVs/tractors on our property and on the gravel road. Pets are welcome for an extra $50 per stay. Please note our dogs may be on the property. They are friendly and well-behaved, although sometimes curious. Other guests may have no-leash pets as well. Park right next to your glamper. Arrive anytime after 4pm, just give us an eta to know when to expect you. If your glamper is not ready upon your arrival, feel free to explore our farm, visit Dillard Mill or head down to the Huzzah while we make it ready for your stay. Not far away you can visit Mark Twain National Forest, Montauk State Park, Ozark National Scenic Riverways, and the Laura Ingalls Wilder Historic Home and Museum to name a few. Roughly 40 minutes off I44 at rolla and 20 minutes ftom hwy 60 just 2 hours to branson and springfield. Walmart and fast food are just 10 minutes away. We are new to the area but there are other lakes, trails and stuff to do close. Lots of flea markets and antiques stores close by to go explore. Located on a small private lane there are a few quiet neighbors. There is a parking area to access trail by walk in, though we are trying to make it vehicle accessable. A wonderful farm way off the road! Sites are wide with full hook ups. We only stayed one night on long haul across the country. Use google maps though, Apple Maps sends you the wrong direction! If your looking for peace and quiet and to get away from it all there isn't a better place.

Weekend Trip to Delightful 1 bedroom peaceful tiny house

We loved every second of being at this tiny home! Melissa and Rick’s farm is so beautiful, right next to the house are horses with a very friendly horse Bubba who will come and greet you. On this property there are an assortment of animals: cows, chickens, cats, the CUTEST dogs, and friendly goats. Rick is so friendly and took my boyfriend and I on a tour and it was our favorite part of this trip, we didn’t want to leave!! Inside the Home there is a microwave, tv with dvd player, plates and cutlery, an electric skillet, clawfoot tub and a shower. There is no kitchen sink so we just used bathroom sink to do dishes, wasn’t too much of an issue. Outside is a bench perfectly located so you can enjoy the sunset, which you’re going to because they are truly magical. You can make a campfire and there is also a grill available. Was a great time and we are already talking about coming back, Melissa and Rick are amazing!!

Weekend Trip to Delightful 1 bedroom peaceful tiny house

I honestly don’t even know where to begin with this place. It met every expectation and added more. The land is beautiful, with slightly rolling hills, but in those hills are about 30 different horses with a whole cascade of personalities, and about 20 cows and calves(watching the calves play is so cute, I was giggling like a maniac all weekend). Rick (Melissa’s husband) is such a great host, he has a story for every animal on his property, and you can tell that he loves being out there. Besides the cattle’s and horses, there’s a wide array of birds such as guinea fowl and peacocks, goats and chickens, some beautiful country pigeons, and even a domesticated raccoon named Captain(who has more personality than the rest of the animals combined). The retired hunting dogs that live on the property are SO excited to see a new face and to get pet, along with a few of the smallest, cutest dogs I’ve ever seen in my life. The house itself is also a treat! They provided a mini fridge, microwave, and a decent sized electric skillet for cooking, along with a coffee pot and Keurig(with coffee supplied!). There’s also a small tv with a dvd player attached, and a wide assortment of movies. The bathroom was wicked cool, my girlfriend really loved ending our second day with a good soak in the clawfoot tub, but there’s also a shower in case you get dirty from petting horses out in the field with Rick. All in all, this place was something incredible, we will 110% be back to stay in here again!!

Weekend Trip to Twisted H Ranch LLC

Katrina was very kind and welcoming. The other campers were friendly as well. The spaces are close together, but just what I needed to sleep over for the night for a family gathering in the area. The bathroom/shower was nice and clean as well. I did go down to the river and it is quite the trip downhill in my 4-wheel truck, so might not be for everyone. It is secluded and quiet and lovely though. However, Buck Hollow is also nearby and not a far drive. It was quiet and I felt safe.

Highly recommend!!! It was such a relaxing time. The views are absolutely beautiful, expesicially around sunset! The cabin was nice and clean! Easy to find! Amazing and down to earth hosts!!! Getting to be surround by nature and farm animals was just so peaceful. I enjoyed not having cell service and truly getting to take a step back and just enjoy life and time with my soulmate! Absolutely recommend and will be returning!

Where to go

Echo Bluff State Park

Considered the “gateway to the Ozarks,” Echo Bluff State Park opened in 2013. Sinking Creek runs through the park, providing a focal point for outdoor adventures under the massive bluffs that line the waterway and give Echo Bluff its name. A modern campground offers walk-in tent camping sites and RV sites, with full hookups, free wifi, bathouses, and more.

Ozarks National Scenic Riverways

The beautiful Jacks Fork River and Current River form the heart of the Ozark National Scenic Riverways. Bring your own or arrange a kayak or canoe rental to take a classic “float trip.” Or take a hike to explore the historic mills and scenic springs. Camping opportunities abound, from well-developed RV parks to off-grid tent sites, some with river access. The National Park Service operates a number of public campgrounds, including large ones at Big Spring and Alley Spring. Riverfront cabins and other glamping accommodations offer upgraded camping experiences.

Mark Twain National Forest

Aside from the regional state park and NPS sites, the Eminence region is surrounded by the Mark Twain National Forest, which covers 1.5 million acres in Missouri. Hiking trails, scenic drives, and watersports abound. Dispersed camping, RV sites, tent camping, cabins, and more can be found on these National Forest lands. Many locations are remote, so wifi and cell signals can be hard to find. But, the lack of development means you’ll find inky skies for stargazing at night.

When to go

Summer is hot, but it’s the most popular time to visit Eminence due to the waterways. Temperatures can get above 100 degrees, with high humidity. Spring and fall are especially good if you plan to spend more time on the trails instead of in the water, with fall being particularly scenic as the leaves change. Winter is generally cold, and campers may encounter snow, ice, and freezing temperatures, though some campgrounds offer year-round access.
