Get cozy in this rustic space. With a woodburning hot tub, this is a perfect spot to rest and recover after a day of hiking, canoeing, climbing. Kitchen, shower, composting toilet, deck, comfy linens and firepits bring you back to yourself! This tiny home is on 4 acres that is close to town but secluded by woods and nature. The house utilizes a composting toilet and greywater systems, emphasizing sustainability. We designed this as a place to unplug, so don't have WiFi, a microwave or a TV. The water is set to HOT, and we have it set there because the hot water heater is a travel trailer size, so it only puts out a small amount of hot water. Please don't burn your hands washing them! Also feel free to turn it down if you need to, it is right under the kitchen sink. We recommend expecting a quick shower or turning the water off and on to soak your hair if you need to wash it and then lathering up. If the house is smelling bad in the bathroom, that is not normal and we will come and fix it.

Handmade modern rustic off grid glamping cabin. Sits down in the valley overlooking a small creek. Located between America's First National River, the Buffalo River and the most unique town in the Ozarks, Eureka Springs, AR. Just 6 miles to the Kings River. Surrounded by hiking, mountain biking, floating, fishing and hunting. Built with an emphasis on using locally milled rough sawn timber, reclaimed materials and handmade details throughout. This is an off-grid glamping cabin. The parking area is just down the hill from the cabin. It's a short walk up to the cabin, you will need to across the foot bridge over the creek and up a few steps to the cabin. The terrain on the property could be muddy or loose at times. Always watch your footing. There is no running water, but there is an 8-gallon jug over the sink for drinking and washing. Extra water available for longer stays. Composting toilet outhouse behind the cabin. Compost toilet bucket is cleaned out after every guest. Propane hot water shower is only available in the warmer months (usually April through October). The cabin is powered by a small solar panel setup. Please do not plug in any personal devices. They could damage the electrical system or overwork it. USB charging dock for phones, laptops, etc. Good cell service with most providers. Basic LED lighting. Direct vent propane heater. Full size memory foam mattress with plenty of warm blankets. There is a two-burner propane cooktop and mini fridge. Bowls, plates, cups and silverware for two guests. Basic food prep items are also available. Round 2-person dining table looking out the big picture window. The creek will be running when there is sufficient rainfall. Guests have access to the designated trails. The land was purchased in 1911 by the local carpenter and farmer 👩‍🌾 David Martin. Rumor has it he built the original house and the barn which was become known to locals as a land mark “The Big Red Barn." Mr. Martin is said to have also built most all the barns in the area, including one such barn which sits on property across the highway, he built while he had a broken leg!! This amazing old barn can be seen from Blessed Valley. Snowball Branch starts less than a mile up stream and runs across the North side of the property..

In walking distance to a park, walking trails, breweries and restaurants, there is plenty to do in this lovely area. The listing does include two twins beds in a trundle bed style. Sadly, the listing does not allow pets as I have a dog that I let out to potty.

This cabin and location are perfection. The amount of well-honed craft that went into building the cabin and its outbuildings like the shower and outhouse are stunning, but so, too, the thought that went into making a comfortable space for guests. The mini-fridge and the large amount of water in the kitchen were so welcome. The meandering trails made my dogs so happy as we walked them several times a day. Even the light fixtures are worth gazing upon. I left here rested and restored.

Wonderful peaceful secluded getaway. This cozy cabin was just what was needed. The kitchen had the necessary items for stove top meals. The bed and linens where comfortable for a good nights sleep. A well kept outhouse. And a nice porch to sit in nature or if rain or cold a big window so you can sit inside and not feel too removed from the outdoors.

Weekend Trip to Biker’s Haven: Cozy Tiny Home

Overall, it is a wonderful spot! Has everything you need for a great weekend away. We did have a few details we wish we knew beforehand that wasn’t provided in the description. I wouldn’t still highly recommend the spot despite the missing information, which I’m sure will be updated. It says secluded but it’s about 10 feet from their house and the neighbors. It didn’t affect our stay but I wouldn’t really call it secluded. When I think of the word secluded I think that it is a very large lot and the stay space is far away from the house and not able to be seen just by looking out the back window. In addition, we did not know they had a dog they would be letting out 10 feet from our stay with no warning. Since it says off leash, that would be really good information to have when bringing a dog of our own. While our dogs are friendly, suddenly having another dog run up into the space was quite a shock and could have caused issues. It has since been updated, but originally the listing said “pets allowed” and when we arrived with 2 dogs they informed us they only allow one and would have to charge us for the extra dog. All of that being said, it is still a beautiful place and would stay again, just wish we had that additional information beforehand.

3 nights at Galloway Greenhouse

The Galloway Greenhouse (Miss Emma's place), in Springfield, MO is ideal for a single person who needs to overnight in this town. The cottage is very clean, neat and functional. The place is quick and easy to get to, just off the highway. There are many restaurant options close by. There is minimal kitchen accommodation, just a hot plate. The coffee service is a Keurig. no big deal. Since this is a hipcamp place, we are prepared. I had my little gas bottle stove and french press. I was set. There is a small fridge, great sink and excellent shower. The bed is fine. It is a single daybed with a soft mattress and soft foam topper. The bedding, pillows and sheets were all clean and proper. Two people cannot sleep on this single daybed. There is a pull-out single mattress under the bed for another to sleep on the floor next to this bed. The bed was very soft, but comfortable. The window and door could be opened for nice airflow. Outside the cottage, Miss Emma allows a fire pit. She has fire starters and all the firewood you could need to have a great campfire. I can imagine she would allow tents in her backyard for extra guests, supported by the cottage. but ask. That would certainly cost a bit more. There was great privacy. Your car is parked on-street, in a cozy neighborhood. I felt very safe back there. Miss Emma was a great host and easy to work with. I will be back and rent this place again when I travel to Springfield.
