There is access to water, but not at the campsite. It is very quiet and peaceful on a paved road. There is a limit of a week on camping at the site.

The pasture is quite visible from Old Route 66, nearly adjoining it. Therefore people traveling “the Mother Road” find it convenient to stay with us. Grass is the best forage for horses, especially older ones, so we take care of our pastures, making for beautiful scenery for campers, too. Plus the entire back mile is bordered by old forest. And there is a swimming hole not a half mile away. This is a quiet and private site, bordered by a neighbor's old forest on back, other neighbor's cattle pasture on side, and you're in one of the pastures used by the Horse Sanctuary. (You are camping about 1/4 mile, more or less, from our house.) We regularly see coyote, wild turkeys, deer, fireflies, and the like.   We are just 1/2 mile off Old Route 66, therefore there are quirky little museums and great restaurants (for such a rural area!).   Plus we are only about an hour's drive from Branson. MO. which is a known tourist attraction.

There are plenty of things to do around here for kids, such as building fires and making s’mores, hiking, climbing trees, catching frogs and crawdads, fishing, and swimming. Located 5 miles outside of Eureka Springs city limits there you can find shopping, restaurants, nightlife, zip lines, mountain biking, horseback riding, and many other things. I am a stone throw away from Holiday Island city limits where you can find restaurants, golfing, walking trails, and the marina where you can rent a boat or just put yours in. There is a RV and boat storage facility on the property so if you like this area that much you can store your toys here and come back every weekend to play with them. I just got started on this new adventure so in the years to come I will be putting in water and electric hook ups, including a dump site.

I felt like my dog and I had the entire beautiful property to ourselves. I was traveling across the country and arrived late at night after a long day of travel, but we were able to still easily set up for the night based on the instructions. The sky of stars, without any light pollution, was spectacular! We had a great time and would love to come back!

This was one of the most beautiful camping spots I’ve had the pleasure of using. It’s located in the Wilderness Rider Buffalo Ranch & Adventure Park so you can look at the camping spots online. I did not know this but in calling, Rick guided me through the whole thing with so much patience. We ended up at Sunrise Knoll and it was incredible! Great stone fire pit, 360 view of the hills and valleys, 30 yds from the outhouse. We had neighbors but couldn’t see or hear them. Dogs had the best time running around and the stars were out of this world. Even saw the buffalo when leaving the park the next day! We will be back and can’t wait to try a different spot to experience even more of this treasure. Can’t recommend enough

Weekend Trip to Wilderness Rider Buffalo Ranch

We had a great stay at the ranch and would definitely come back! We stayed at Meadow View "D" and loved the wide-open space — perfect for parking our bus, and even after rain the drive in was easy. During our visit we hiked over 12 miles and highly recommend checking out the lookout and the blue lagoon — both were highlights of the trip. The sunrise in the mornings was absolutely spectacular, and the night sky full of stars made the evenings magical. We were fairly close to the outhouse (convenient!) and also near some neighbors who were a bit questionable, but overall it didn’t affect our stay too much. This is a wonderful spot with so much natural beauty, and we’re already hoping to be back!
