Happy Trails Farm Resort

Happy Trails farm is a beautiful refreshing place that you can relax, and connect with the family farm life.

 We were established Oct. 27th, 2007, and it's our "Acres of Diamonds" (Earl Nightengale).

 There are 20.11 acres of farm life to share with you.

 We do many things to help keep the farm going, and moving towards being self supporting.

 We sell fresh farm eggs, offer many on the farm and off the farm services.

 Such as pony rides, birthday parties, weddings, camp outs, and so much more.

 We also house and run Happy Trails Horse Rescue (501c3) non for profit, and accept donations.

 Some of the things you will experience and see are:

 volunteers helping out, horses, mules, donkeys, chickens, ducks, geese, turkey, goats, llama, and many others.

 We are a small and important resource to the overall well being of community.

 We look forward to seeing you on the farm!

Check-in is between 2pm-9pm. 

No late night check-ins.  

Cancellations must be made by 2pm the day before your reservation.

Happy Trails Farm Resort is a great place to get lost and find a connection.  We are a small homestead family farm with many farm animals.

Hummingbird Hollow Outdoors

Hummingbird Hollow Outdoors is a not for profit Farm Animal Sanctuary.  You will be able to camp with the horses, goats, potbellied pigs and more.  We open up our farm so that people can enjoy the outdoors, animals and nature, and the animals can enjoy people!  We are a sanctuary for all creatures on earth, including humans.

"Today, whatever is good for your soul, do that."

We have custom fire pits that can be placed at the site of your choice.   We also always have free dry firewood for your use.

Sudden Valley Ranch

Our home was built shortly after the couple married in 1904.  We were fortunate enough to begin our adventure here in 1999.  We appreciate all this place has to offer - from the hay fields to the woods and everything in between.  It is a peaceful paradise we enjoy sharing with others.  Please come and relax, read a book, draw a picture, or simply let the sounds of nature lull you to sleep.  We believe you will leave rejuvenated!  

This spacious site is at the far edge of one of our hayfields/horse pastures.  You can see the outhouse is a comfortable distance from the main area.

Grand Army Farm

Grand Army Farm is a family owned working farm. We raise beautiful angora goats for fiber and have chickens, ducks, geese, turkeys and meat goats. We serve local restaurants and participate in many local area farmers market. 
We pride ourselves in minimizing our carbon footprint, to the extent that we don't own any heavy piece of farm equipment, not even an ATV. The working portion of the game only accounts for 15 % of the land. 
What this means is that 85% of the wooded acres is available for you HipCampers to hike and explore.
Of particular interest is the site of an old moonshine distillery hidden in the woods, a 20 min hike east of your campsite. Legends has it that the moonshine was illicitly  produced during Prohibition and sold in the loft of our biggest barn where people would drink and dance the night away. 
The property boats of gorgeous mature oak trees, hickory trees and newer cedar stands where nature abounds. In the morning you may see the herons fly in or the Canadian geese come in.Learn more about this land:Pitch your own tent by our 5 acres lake. You will hear the frogs croak at night, see sights of blue herons or Canadian geese flying in, and hear our own geese and ducks greet you from across the lake. You will see my goat barn and see the majestic angora goats with shimmering coats come in for their feedings in the morning and leave to go to pasture afterwards. You will be a 10 min walk from our house and have complete privacy.  If you would like to make a fire, there is plenty of wood available to pick up on site.  A map on the patio fridge will show you where water is available and the hiking trail head.

Katy Haus

Marthasville is over 200 years old and the last home of Daniel Boone. It is also a campsite of Lewis and Clark as they explored the Missouri River.The Katy Trail is right across the street from the Katy Haus. The trail was once the Missouri-Kansas-Texas Railroad, was converted to a biking trail in the 1980s, and is a part of the Missouri State Park.According to the locals, the original building at this address was the first hotel in town. Now, it is a 1 bedroom cottage made available to those coming to explore Marthasville, Missouri wine country, and the Katy Trail.Learn more about this land:A cute little house on the Katy Trail.Bring your bikes, bring your dog, bring your friends.After a long day of riding the Katy Trail and enjoying the local wineries and breweries, or maybe you are in the area celebrating a wedding, the Katy Haus is your place to kick back and relax.THE LOCATIONLocated nearly on the Katy Trail in Marthasville, Missouri, the Katy Haus is in Missouri wine country and less than an hour from St. Louis.Bike shuttles and rentals are nearby, the best pizza in the county is steps from the door, and wineries are a short bike ride down the Katy Trail (or a 2 minute drive down the road).Ride the Amtrak train into Washington and have the shuttle bring you to the Katy Haus.THE SPACEThe Katy Haus is a one level little house with 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom (handicapped friendly). It sleeps a total of 4 people and is dog friendly.The full kitchen has everything you need except to make your own meals, including place settings, pots and pans, wine glasses, and both a Keurig and a regular coffee maker.The single bedroom has a king size bed with crisp white linens from The Distinguished Guest and light blocking curtains for sleeping late.Bedding for the king size sofa sleeper is provided upon request. WINERIESLake Creek Winery is only 2 miles down the road. Blumenhof Winery in Dutzow is 6 miles by bike, and Augusta wineries and the Good News Brewery is 13 miles by bike.WEDDINGSAre you attending a wedding nearby at Boone Monument Village (2 minutes), Lake Creek Winery (2 minutes), or in the nearby town of Washington (8 minutes)?
