Cold Creek Valley currently has three secluded, primitive camp sites nestled in 36 acres of rolling hills in the Ozarks. There are five marked/maintained hiking trails on the property. They take you through varying types of terrain and multiple rock features. The creek borders a beautiful meadow and flows during the wetter months. A pond sits near the back of the property and is a great place to spot wildlife. We are located less than 30 minutes from downtown Eureka Springs, as well as under an hour from Branson and the Buffalo National River areas. Northwest Arkansas has something for everyone - from endless outdoor activities to art galleries and high-end dining. This remote primitive campground is between Kingston and Compton, Arkansas. in the Ozark Mountains of the Boston plateau. The wooded 15 acres is nestled just above a scenic bluff looking south. You can set your tent on our grassy knoll or find a random spot anywhere under our hardwoods or pines. There is one designated gravel site pad for a mid size trailer. The only roads to Spoken N’ Tru are gravel. I highly recommend taking the gravel route from Kingston. This particular gravel road is 5 miles. If you are pulling a camper this is definitely the best. There is another longer 8 mile option from 412 - south from Dryfork in between Marble and Ozark. The shortest route if from 103 but it has a deep creek crossing and don't recommended unless you have a good 4 wheel vehicle. The best road to Ponca is County Road 1300 which takes you to Highway 43. Please keep in mind that Spoke N’ Tru is a cozy but primitive camping site with no amenities so be ready to check your electronics before heading down our gravel roads. Lastly, please read amenity notes, especially regarding waste.

Site 1 was beautiful and nicely secluded away from the other campsites. The trails were well-marked and the views were lovely with several vistas and benches to sit on along the trails. Everything was clean and well-maintained. Will definitely come back and book again, hopefully after a rain when the creeks are running!

10/10 recommend, this was a great camping experience. It was off the beaten path and easy to find. Far enough from the other campsites that you couldn’t even see their lights through the woods. Very clean and thought out, trails around the camp were very well marked and easy to navigate. Will definitely be back!

Camping here was amazing! I stayed at site 1 and it was very well maintained. The table, tent platform, and outhouse were all great quality and well kept. Fire wood and the trash were both easily accessible. There were a few a few errant noises, such as some gun shots from a nearby shooting range and a cow mooing, but neither would persuade me away from staying here again! I will be recommending this place to anyone looking to camp near Eureka Springs!

Tent camping at site three was awesome. I had my two dogs and they loved it. It was beautiful, peaceful and overall an excellent set up. At the time this was the last camp site on the road so we passed the other camps on the way and it was secluded. The outhouse was super nice. It was clean, bright and set up well. There was access to trails right from camp.

Oh my gosh! What an amazing campsite!! I’ve camped all over the state of Arkansas and this was one of the most enjoyable experiences so far. There is so much care in the aesthetics of each site…rock-lined paths, a private toilet that doesn’t hold smells, stone fire pits, well-marked and cleared hiking trails, and so much more. Mason offers firewood and water for purchase, which is great for ease. We’d go back in a heartbeat.

It was a perfect in the middle of the woods set up. The main packed gravel road was really nice and the road to Cold Creek is narrow but easy to navigate. I would recommend a higher up car (we were in a Ford Focus). The view was perfect and the site is very secluded other than the occasional drive by of other campers at 2 and 3. I will definitely be staying here again! I was also impressed at how nice the picnic table is and the outhouse!

This spot is something truly special. The bluff, the quiet woods, and the feeling of total seclusion made it one of the best camping experiences we’ve ever had. The stars were incredible at night, and the fire pits added the perfect touch. Plus, it’s not too far from Hawksbill Crag, which made exploring the area even better. Huge thanks to Adam for sharing this hidden gem with us, we’ll definitely be back.
