Only 30 minutes east of Grand Rapids, this property was established as a Youth Camp for 15 years is now a private event venue and campground, so it has nice amenities like FULL restrooms, a picnic shelter, and even a few small cabins that can be rented. Cabins ARE SMOKE FREE and may not be used as kennels so please keep pets off furnature and don't leave them inside when you are gone. You must bring your own queen sheet set. Steam cleaning the mattress will be an extra charge. Swimming beach is available in Lowell a few miles away. Fishing rivers and lakes are also in the area. (live bait in Saranac) Woods site and Open Area have a few different locations you can choose from. If woods or open shows booked already, please contact me. Additional fee of $20 per extra tent/camper that sleeps an adult. Picnic shelter is also available. Use my website to RSVP entire camp area for an event such as wedding.

The land was originally bought to be a hippy community- but sadly people grew up and moved on, leaving my father as the lone survivor of the property. My husband and I have recently purchased the land from him and want to make it into something beautiful- a new community of sorts. We are excited for you to come and camp on our property! We have lots of fun things planned for the property and will be making improvements as we go! Thank you for being apart of the journey. Learn more about this land: Our little slice of heaven is nestled back off the country road- with over 30 acres, we have a couple of old horse pastures and barns, a beautiful grassy area that has a large fire pit and a natural pond. Some wood is provided for your initial fire; more can be purchased from us for $5 per bundle. We have basic electricity, a country swing, a dock if you would like to fish- we also have nice grassy walking paths and a wooded area as well. Our land is very peaceful and safe. The perfect space to unplug and unwind and to recharge yourself. While we do only consider our space one site, it is large enough for groups as big as 30 ppl, with plenty of room to set up tents in your desired areas. Campers and trailers are welcome, with limited size requirements and space; we also restrict where they can be parked. We are very close to several rivers in the area, so bring your kayaks, or inner tubes and float down the rivers for a peaceful afternoon. We’re not too far from Lake Michigan (easy day trip), Kalamazoo or Lansing, Several breweries in the area- (Battle Creek, Kalamazoo and Marshall) as well as a casino (Marshall). We are in a very nice happy medium to a lot of Michigan favorite spots. Come and enjoy the quiet country- and get some amazing star lit skies. Ask about our “glamping” set up, for an additional fee We can accommodate large groups, or family gatherings. Large groups (over 10) must add on an additional portable toilet to their stay (seasonal only We have an open air shower (see photos) that is cold water- but can be hot on sunny days. We also have a sink area. Well trained- recall ready pets are welcomed- please pick up after your pet. We do have free range ducks that use the pond- who should be respected. Leashes are required for all dogs who are dangerous to our animals. *We are now accepting winter rentals, winter campers should prep for the cold winter weather and should have 4w drive capability’s. Some add ons including portable toilet are not available during winter months. Please confirm rentals or add ins before booking. We do a meet and greet with our guests and will show you to the space; go over any information that we need to with you, and then we try and leave you to the space so you can experience it for yourself and enjoy your time. Our primary guideline is that if your event will be held while other campers are here, it cannot disturb them. So, consider renting the whole campground. We decide on a case by case basis since we prefer not to have late arrivals. The 5 acre area where our campsites are located is wooded with mature oak, maple, walnut, elm, and white pine trees. We're isolated and surrounded by wild areas and natural farm land but just a 10 minute drive to restaurants, groceries, fuel, and other amenities. The Ann Arbor area is home to a huge array of world class events from the Ark music venue to National Champions Michigan home football games and a whole lot more. Downtown Ann Arbor or Dexter or Chelsea is only a 15 minute car drive. White Lotus Farms, which has a wonderful farm market on Saturdays from 9 - 2 and Wednesdays from 9 - 1, is a 10 minute walk down our dirt road. We've got a growing number of camping essentials for rent or sale for very reasonable prices that can make your stay even more enjoyable: from bug repellants to camp chairs, potable water in 2.5 - 5 gallon containers, and more. Beautiful place & peaceful. I’d you want a nature break, this is the spit for you.. Camp host was on site briefly, his dog Luke kept me company for most of my stay. Already planning a visit next summer when I come to the area. Few things to note: *Bring a flashlight, it’s dark when walking to the restroom. *There are bugs & Spiders everywhere, it’s nature. *Futon in cabin-s isn’t comfortable, I slept in my zero gravity chair.. *Breathe, and have fun..

We noticed that Cabin M is equipped with an EV charger if that is important to you. We were end of season camping but found everything to be as expected and we plan a return visit in the spring.

Molly and Kevin were nice host, checked in on us via the hipcamp app and made sure we didn't need anything. They have a beautiful landscape for camping and any other family event. It was nice and spacious plus the star view was awesome at night and they also have a nice trail that leads back to more wide open land and a pond for fishing.

Woods campsite #4 is absolutely amazing. It's close to a house, but plenty secluded, quiet and up on a small hill. Super close to the bathhouse which is rustic, but clean. Better yet within 20 minutes of being set up we were peacefully greated by Luke the pup who proceeded to be our campground guide, fire sentient, the bestest trail walk supervisor and even slept on our mat outside the tent at night.

I loved staying here! There was a slight miscommunication about my site which was quickly resolved. There are lovely trails, a wonderful wildflower field, and a few open areas to take in the view and sun. The firewood portion supplied for $5 was a great deal and lasted me all 48hours i was present. The cabin was minimally but adequately furnished, the outside space includes plenty of seating and table options too. My dog also had a blast with the wide areas and trails to explore. I do photography and got some lovely shots of different plants, flowers, fungi, myself, my dog, etc. The weather was phenomenal during my visit so it was all around a lovely, magical retreat from the corporate life 🖤

The cabin was as expected. It’s in a beautiful space that makes you feel far from the noise of more suburban areas. Luke is such a sweetheart and I felt so protected knowing he was around. Every morning he was laying by my chair. I would like to comment on the restroom area, I’ve camped around and this was clean and it was nice to have some items like hand soap and shampoo. Minimal spiders lol I plan on coming here again soon!

This was my first Hipcamp stay. It was fantastic! I plan to stay here again. My 4 small dogs had a blast being off leash. They stayed in the area rolling in the grass and hunting chipmunks. (They never catch them). We stayed here to be close to our grandkids and watch them play football nearby. Nice fire with a barrel of firewood for $5 extra. I got a brief view one morning of the black dog everyone mentioned, but he was just passing thru. Played some Frisbee golf. Checked out the bathhouse and the cabins. This is the exact type of place I like to camp at. I have a class C that is fully self contained so I didn't need water or electricity, but they are available.

We loved our space and found it to be a nice quiet area. Friendly host and plenty of firewood to buy. There are mosquitos of course so bring spray. Property has goats behind a fence which we stopped to say hi to. Will definitely return
