Moo Nay Farms is a located in Cooks Brook, Nova Scotia, about an hour from Halifax and 20 minutes from our local airport. We are a 100 acre free range beef, pig and rabbit farm, and horse boarding facility on a corner bordering on 2 rivers, a running brook and a sitting on a huge pile of sand. We encourage our campers to also be free range and choose any nice quiet spot they find, a wide open sand lot, along the river, or deep in the woods. Campers are free to set up tents and sites on either side of the pasture, I don't allow trailer campers in the pastures as the cows tend to like to use them as scratching posts and can damage units. You never know when a litter of piglets is going to be born, a new calf arrives, or when the cows will skip the fence and we call on ya for a cattle drive, but always guaranteed something interesting is going to happen on the farm. We welcome campers to bring their pets responsibly, please be aware it is a livestock farm. For people vacationing or travelling with horses, we have stalls and paddocks available and plenty of sand arenas and trails to ride in. Key features of the property are definitely the livestock, horses, a beautiful swimming or fishing hole at the corner of the property tons of walking or biking trails, a beach volleyball court, huge bbq pit, firepit area complete with seating, bbq capable of roasting whole hogs if you're planning a party event or gathering. Great spot with a great view of the effects of the Fundy Bay tidal shift on rivers. The host met us and escorted us to the spot. We parked in a grassy field with beautiful views. We were joined by friends in their own van and it made for a lovely evening.

We called ahead and Quinton met us as we drove in and showed us to the site. We had our choice of spots because we were the only ones there. We watched the tidal bore come up the river and a mild sunset in the orchard. Early in the morning, we heard some ruffled grouse calling. A very peaceful stay.

We were honored to be Kathleen's first official guests! This is an amazing location, basically right in Lunenburg, which meant we could stay out late and hit the town early. It was quiet, and we loved seeing the chickens roaming around and the birds in the pond in the morning. Kathleen was able to provide some great local recommendations.

Such a great place to stay. Jeffery and Tracey really thought of everything. We made the best meals in the outdoor kitchen, took in the full panoramic view from the deck and even got to take a shower! This place is perfect for someone who wants to have time away from the hustle and bustle but also have a few luxuries (The best one being the bathroom haha).
Such a nice family too and you can tell they had fun building everything and are excited to add even more. Thanks for everything!

If there is 5star hotel, there is a 5 star campsite as well and sleep by the sea campsite is one of them. Jeffrey and his whole family is very welcoming and thorough in explaining all the amenities in the campsite.

This is the perfect private camping spot. After a few weeks of exploring Nova Scotia, this was by far our favourite place to stay. The site sits right on the ocean, offering a breathtaking view from sunrise to sunset.
Jeffrey has thoughtfully set up everything you might need: a bathroom with a flush toilet, an outdoor shower with hot water, a cozy fire pit, and even a staircase leading right down to the water (see photos!).
The campground is well-located, close to several beaches. Clam Harbour Beach, just a short drive away, is great for beginner surfers — and if you want a lesson, reach out to Adam from Hurricane Surf Co., the best surfer around. For food and local flavour, Uprooted Café and Market is only about 25 minutes away. They serve excellent coffee and bites, and you can pick up fresh local vegetables, fruits, seafood, and meats.
Jeffrey himself is a wonderful host — welcoming and attentive. We loved the place so much, we dedicated an entire day to simply relaxing: reading, watching the waves, and soaking in the peaceful atmosphere. At night, the starry sky is spectacular.
The spot is remote and very quiet, yet still connected — both Wi-Fi and cell service work just fine. It’s the perfect balance of comfort, nature, and tranquillity.

Our stay at the Natura Wilderness was amazing. Private, cute, and very well-maintained. The propane stove, shower, and toilet all worked great! The location is close to a provincial park and gas station / coffee spot. Not far from Windsor. It was the perfect place for us.

Our idea of perfect! We parked on a grassy area overlooking the water with gorgeous unobstructed views of the islands. The whole family greeted us, even though we arrived late. Jeffrey took time to show us the outdoor living area: sink, stovetop, bench swing, fire pit with benches and a lovely new and clean outhouse with lights, a sink, and a flushing RV toilet!!
We learned that Jeffrey used storm-felled trees for all the wood and planed the wood and built himself.
The moon was reflecting on the water magically and the breeze off the water kept the bugs to a minimum. It was so quiet and relaxing with the waves lapping gently.
There are neighbors but they are tucked away so it feels very private, but comforting thst the family home was just up the hill if we needed anything. We sat on the deck and saw millions of stars at night.
We had our two older dogs with us and they were so calm and happy there. In the morning we decided to book another night to just spend the day lazing about, reading, planning the next leg of our adventures. The longer we stayed the more we dreamed about buying a spot nearby. It's a really special place.
The parking spot is down a grassy slope from the main house and is pretty level on its own, but Jeffrey provided wood planks for us to adjust the wheel height.
The province had a fire ban in place because of the dry conditions, which was fine by us. But Jeffrey did have a great fire pit area set up with loads of chopped wood.

We were very lucky to be the first guests at this spot. Jeff and his wife have built something to be proud of. This isn't just a spot to park, they have built a 1 site campground. You have your own private deck, bathroom with flushing toilet, full outdoor kitchen with bbq and 4 burner propane stove and an incredible campfire spot (unfortunately the current NS burn ban meant we couldn't use it). We travel in a small campervan, so having access to a private bathroom and outdoor kitchen was a dream!
Their property is large and well kept, and the spot is at the edge of a cliff looking out at the Wild Islands. The campsite is a good distance from their house and offers great privacy. Safe to expect some wind coming off the water, so bring layers.
There were a couple projects still underway, like steps down to the water, and an outdoor shower that will make this spot even better than it already is.

Pearl House Farm is the most beautiful place to camp. Everything is just perfect.
We camped overlooking the meadows and forest. Coming from Belgium, we experienced stillness like never before. Our children loved the animals on the farm and the fact that they could really interact with them. And as cherry on the cake Zackary and Laura are adorable hosts. They contribute to the relaxing vibe of pearl house farm because of their open and warm personalities. We just loved it!!!

The Land here was very beautiful. There is a sunset at the back of the land. It's right next to a farm so you hear the cows mooring in the morning. It was a very peaceful property with multiple different plots to camp on. We had once in the back that was huge and surrounded by trees. Super peaceful and a very nice host!!
We will defiantly be looking into coming back here again soon.

I loved tent camping at Green Oakes! Beautiful view and lots of privacy. Quinton was very helpful and friendly.
The only item I would caution to anyone who may be allergic to bumblebees there is a neighbouring beehive that is being tended to so just keep your distance if you have allergies to beds.
Other than that 10/10.
