30 years ago this was a pay lake it has been shut down for years. I got it a few years ago for a family getaway. So there is some really nice fish in the lakes. We have a outside kitchen with a gas grill, gas griddle and sink.we also have a sink for your use. There is also a toilet with a flushing toilet.

We provide a farm experience in a small campground with 2 full bathrooms with hot showers, 10 rv/tent sites, 1 glamping bell tent, 1 glamping aframe, and a 3 bedroom 1 bath ‘Trailboss’ cabin available for short term renting. There is a dump station for trailers, and sites have water and 30 amp electric.
Horses, goats, chickens, and sometimes a friendly camp cat are happy to engage with guests. Guests will have access to yard games such as corn hole, giant jenga, croquet, bocce ball, steer lassoing and more.

The Cabin is powered by solar &; wind and uses a filtered rain water collection system. It is close to French Lick & Paoli, hiking, golf, canoeing, spelunking, skiing hunting and more. Please note that during the winter months the angle of the sun is lower and the panels do not produce as much power as in the summer months (plus you have less daylight hours) . Depending on the cloud cover you may be limited to lights only in November, December, January and February . There is a generator available for rent at $10.00 per night plus gas or you can bring your own. There is a wood stove and a 13,000 btu indoor gas wall heater for heat, both units provide more than enough heat. There are two window air conditioning units that can be used in, June, July and August. Once you get to the end of August or on cloudy days you are limited to the amount of time you can use the AC units unless you rent the generator. There is a propane cook stove available if you run out of power and 2 charcoal grills (you supply charcoal). Please note that the cabin is still a work in progress and is not 100% completed. Also note that if rain is limited there may be no water.

5 nights at Lake View camping
We stayed in the cabin for a week and it was wonderful! I can't say enough good things about Bill, the owner and Jeanie & Mike, long term RV'ers. They made us feel so welcomed and were right there if we needed anything. It is so peaceful and relaxing there. The fishing was great. My hubby caught about 25 nice-sized catfish and I caught several bluegill while there. There are kayaks to use and an outdoor kitchen with propane grill, Blackstone griddle and a sink. Two lakes and a pond provided plenty of space to fish. The cabin has a small refrigerator, small microwave, sink, shower and flushing toilet. There is also a TV with DVD's. Linens and towels/wash cloths are provided. Firewood is available for a small fee and even nightcrawlers to purchase right there. We can't wait to go back!

Weekend Trip to Lake View camping
We loved our cabin rental! A great romantic weekend getaway for the hubby and me. We loved it so much, we rented it again for 2 weeks later. Can’t wait for our follow-up visit. This place is great time or shine. Excellent camp hosts who are very informative and accommodating. Primitive sites are the largest we’ve seen with access to hot water nearby (we are avid tent campers). All hookup sites have a view of a large lake.
We had access to 3 lakes and we caught fish in all. We utilized the grills (regular grill and blackstone), the camp sink, used the kayaks with several life jackets available You can purchase firewood and utilize all grilling equipment. For primitive campers, you have access to a private restroom with sink and hot water.
My favorite part was the parks mascot- a rooster!!

We enjoyed our stay at the lakeside cabin! The cabin itself was cozy and clean. The lake itself was serene and great to fish on. My only complaint was the pull out bed was difficult to sleep on. Overall, we loved our time and would absolutely come back.

We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend at this off the grid cabin. The setup was interesting to learn about and more than suited our needs. This isn't an Airbnb or Holiday Inn, but it's certainly a step up from camping. The host was very responsive in helping with any issues, even driving a long way to replace some equipment. Very quiet and peaceful overall, we certainly plan to come back!

We went for 1 overnight, loved it. This little cabin is very nice inside. Very up to date and clean! (Nicer than most motels) Check in was a breeze. Quiet rural atmosphere, 2 kayaks to use, grill, firewood available on-site. Cabin and campsites are right on the lake. We didn't fish this time, but we'll be back.

This camp is a slice of paradise. The pond is sucha an amazing view to have all day . There are some hiking trails near by. And some really wicked downhill mountain biking about an hour away. We came out this way for mammoth caves.
The cabin is amazing having warm showers is something essential to us. While still staying away from anywhere congested The pull out couch has an extra memory foam mattress behind the couch to make the pullout even comfier. Nice little fishing hole with two ponds. Took the kayaks out In the full moon. No pigut needed And it was magical I’d highly recommend Will is amazing we had some great neighbors while we were out here.

A simple, but lovingly built cabin on a really lovely property. We came down from Chicago in early April to get a jump on the spring, and what a treat! Birdsong, wild flowers and the lovely fresh green of the trees starting to leaf out. Peaceful and soul soothing!
It was interesting and inspiring to be in a self sustaining off the grid cabin, and there was plenty of battery power to meet our needs.
There is lots to do in the immediate area. Hoosier national park has great hiking trails, as do the nearby state parks. Exploring some of the nearby caves was exciting.
