LOCATED IN THE NATURAL SCENERY OF WESTERN KENTUCKY JUST NORTH OF NASHVILLE, TN.
Burdoc Farms is nestled in the idyllic natural green hills. Burdoc Farms offers a true and relaxed experience for your once in a lifetime event.With over 650 acres of open fields and forest, Burdoc Farms has been in the Shepherd family for over 80 years. The farm was once a tobacco and cattle farm, producing national champion Shorthorn Beef Cattle in the 60’s. When Keith and Sara Shepherd took over operations in the 90’s the farm was converted to a conservation farm, with timber management, wildlife habitat, recreation and agritourism becoming the main focus of farm operations.

With over 650 acres to chose from you can camp in open fields or wooded areas on our 100 year old family farm! We love sharing our farm with other conservation minded guest, but if you need access to modern amenities we can accommodate you too. We have over 10 miles of trails to explore nature on your own. If you just want to sit by a fire and relax we have a communal fireplace or fire pit. We have a pond for fishing or swimming whatever you heart desires. Pets are allowed and welcome. Be sure to bring your sense of wonder and take your walkabout on Burdoc Farms!

Kickin' Grass Farm

We are  a chemical free, drug free farm raising pastured livestock and poultry. We are land healers on this great crusade to grow quality pastures to raise nutrient dense proteins! We have a wonderful view of the hills of Kentucky on 140 acres of pasture and woodlands. We grow poultry (chickens and turkey), cattle, sheep and pigs. Our farm is aromatically and visually pleasing. We are non-conventional in our methods and pride ourselves in the fact our path is to sustainability and sharing with all!  Learn more about this land:Pitch your tents or sleep under the stars (and yes, you can see stars here) under a magical oak and hickory canopy. Enjoy a walk around the farm and see all things -- pastured cows, sheep, pigs, chickens moving and living as creation intended!  Visit the farm store and take some pastured meats back to the fire! Ease your mind and soul by the fire and listen to "the calm." Beautiful site, please come and enjoy!  You will be different departing then arrived!

30 years ago this was a pay lake it has been shut down for years. I got it a few years ago for a family getaway. So there is some really nice fish in the lakes. We have a outside kitchen with a gas grill, gas griddle and sink.we also have a sink for your use. There is also a toilet with a flushing toilet.

At HOBA Farm we have 13 acres of wooded river front property. We also have a large lake with kayaks and paddlebaords available! There are plenty of cute animals to visit. Near by there are plenty of hiking trails, caves, beautiful parks, and boat launches. We have plenty of room to set up tents and hammocks in a variety of locations. Its very shady down by the river too! Most of our property is natural and full of wild flowers all summer.

This is primitive camping only. We have a portapotty on site but currently do not have running water or electric. Please be sure to bring your own drinking water.
