Fun Family Farm (FFF) near Robinson, KS is an organic farm where our hobby is creating fun! This entry is to give you an overview of the farm and also in case you want to hold a laid-back, nature-oriented, special event at the FFF, where our mantra is, “nothing will be perfect, but everything will be fine.” So, if you are looking for artificial perfection, look elsewhere. This is camping, not Glamping!
---For any of the guest houses, bring your own linens or sleeping bags, or rent from us.
---The Blue Bedroom has a double bed in it, as does the Hippie Van. Both have either air conditioners or heaters as needed.
---The Big Yellow Bus has a queen bed and two sets of bunk beds in addition to a wood stove, air conditioner, small refrigerator, and a microwave.
---Braden's Brown Bus has a double bed and a futon, air conditioner, sink and a small refrigerator.
---The Hippie Van is a painted VW van with the seats removed and a double bed built in. AC and Heat are available.
Some of the fun we create on the farm includes:

---Lots of rural roads, paved and unpaved for bike riding (bring your own bike)
--- Smallish pond with a beach for swimming
---Creek for wading and looking for fossils
---Several fire-pits with seating

This vintage 1956 Flying Cloud Airstream features a comfy double bed, a kitchenette with sink and a 3-in-1 appliance (coffee maker, toaster, and griddle), a cute dinette table that doubles as a chalkboard art space, a composting toilet (yes, everyone must sit down for their business), and a shower.

1 night at Wild Rest Sanctuary
I recently stayed at Wild Rest Sanctuary upon entering the property I felt like it was transported into another world as a entered the forested road that provided a sense of wunderlust anticipating what was around the next curve. It felt like I was driving backwards in time into nature. I imagined Hansel and Gretel following the trail of bread Crumbs through the forest. Upon arriving at the meadow and first setting eyes on the amenities, I imagined a medieval camp prepared for a king seeing the majestic tents and yurt. Some of the highlights that I experienced during my stay were watching the stars at night smelling the floral scent wafting on the heavy summer air. It felt like I was living in poetry. Other highlights were the well-appointed tents prepared with all amenities needed bed, and bedding, storage, lighting fans. I especially loved how user-friendly the booking website was, as well as all of the items that you could choose from, such as kits for making s'mores and optional Wi-Fi, although that was the last thing I wanted as I was enjoying my escape from civilization. The shower facilities were excellent, especially for an off-the-grid sanctuary. The host Christina was so accommodating and inviting. You could definitely see her passion for her vision of this sanctuary and it showed in her desire to provide everything needed to each person's individual desires. She has that unique magnetic personality that can't help but leave you smiling.

Our family really enjoyed the visit. My girls are elementary age and it was a lot of fun to see the ducks from the school bus. They run up a ramp and jump into a pool! Super cute. Chickens, a pig, and gorgeous land all around. Lots of yard games like jenga, horse shoe, sand pit with digging tools. The owners are super neat people, very interesting to learn about the land, the history, and all the projects about! Lots to do, but also, time to sit and be still in the calm remote part of Kansas. We didn't leave their property other than a walmart trip-just 20 minutes away!

Awesome family getaway! We fished, swam, played at the park, jumped on a jumping pillow, made s’mores and had an absolutely amazing time! Their pizzas (especially bacon cheeseburger) was 🔥. And staff super friendly and helpful, general store has EVERYTHING also. Beautiful and well managed! 💯

1 night at Fun Family Farm - Overview
I fell in love the minute we arrived, not only was the VW bus even cooler than the photos, it was parked next to a pasture with cows! Being a farm girl I couldn’t wait to go swimming in the pond and explore the property. I appreciated Jacques the dog keeping me company by being my swimming and walking companion. My daughter liked the comforts of the hippie bus (AC, electricity, lights, etc). Bill and Nancy were very welcoming, I can’t wait to go back!

Weekend Trip to Fun Family Farm - Overview
This place had everything. Ducks, chickens, two turkeys one cute little pig, and three friendly dogs. There was a playground with a trampoline and a huge sandbox for my granddaughter. We didn’t check out the pond, but spent the day down at the creek. Just the nicest people.
Would love to go back with more grandkids😃

I loved bringing my kids to the farm. I loved that I could enjoy every moment with them without having to over pack, set up a tent, pull an rv, or sleep on the ground. We made the decision to visit friday morning and were at the farm before dinner with plenty of time for a walk to the creek, dinner and smores at the campfire, a round of giant jenga, and the chance to sit and read a book while my kids played on the trampoline, tire swing and sand pit. They thought the outdoor shower was super cool. And they really loved swimming in the pond for 3 hours on Saturday. We can't wait to visit again. Bill, thank you for having us and being so welcoming. It was so nice to meet you. We will be back soon!

Bill and Nancy were so kind, you can tell how much work and care they put into their property over the last 40 years to make it a magical experience with an emphasis on kids and families in mind. I loved going down to the creek with the kids and looking for fossils(there is an abundance of unique fossils!) skipping rocks, and jumping across the stepping stones. Watching my son and his friend play so freely made me feel extremely nostalgic, we live in the suburbs and theres not as many opportunities to allow the kids to run around and have free reign the way they were able to on the farm. I got to talk to the owners for a while and hear some of their story, each and every facet of the property has a unique history and personal story behind it, you can feel the memories made in the space. Bill is a very handy craftsman and artist and he was behind many of the structures on the farm along with other creatives over the years. We brought our two small dogs and they did a great job keeping pets in mind with the design, we had a fenced yard that the dogs could stay in while we explored, unfortunately one of our kiddos left our gate open and one of our dogs got out later in the evening, I messaged the owners and they got up and found my dog! I was really worried because of how open the space was. Truly wonderful people, and a truly wonderful farm with many opportunities for family fun and interacting with nature. 10/10 would recommend.

Weekend Trip to Quaint and Peaceful Waterfront Stays
This was a very cozy cabin just far enough out of town to feel like we were getting away from it. The kitchen was well stocked and plenty of towels and blankets to go around. The river was right outside the door and offered incredible sunsets at night. The stargazing was also fantastic!

Jacques and Angie are the sweetest doggies, and Jacques' trail guiding is top notch! Myself and the 4 10/11 year old boys who stayed overnight are all ready to come back again very soon!

It’s just a crazy, fun time when we visit this place. The uniqueness of each structure, the honest, simplicity of it all is so very special.
Our children & grandchildren were thrilled to get out & explore the beautiful, pastoral, Kansas countryside. The yellow school bus & pond are the true highlights for them. But the new treehouse & swing near the sandbox were also a hit.
I enjoyed the expansive sky filled with stars, the outdoor shower & of course the quacking ducks as they slide down into their own personal kiddie pool.
The hosts are generous & extremely accommodating & share wonderful stories…just like family.

Group trip
We (family of 4) were traveling from south LA to Badlands national park and needed a stop over that didn’t require setting up our tent. It was perfect. Wish we could’ve explored more but it lightly rained all night and while we packed back up in the morning. Bill was super sweet and helpful!! Jacques, their lab, is also super sweet! Safe and quiet. The white bus was just a little small however the mattresses were so comfy and so far on our road trip camping and even at an Airbnb they were the most comfortable. We got a great night of sleep!

If you're looking to stay on a farm this is the place! Our children loved all of the activities - multiple swings, trampoline, pond, creek, tree house, and looking at all of the animals. The buses could have been a little cleaner but they have AC so that's nice for the hot days.
