Fun Family Farm (FFF) near Robinson, KS is an organic farm where our hobby is creating fun! This entry is to give you an overview of the farm and also in case you want to hold a laid-back, nature-oriented, special event at the FFF, where our mantra is, “nothing will be perfect, but everything will be fine.” So, if you are looking for artificial perfection, look elsewhere. This is camping, not Glamping!
---For any of the guest houses, bring your own linens or sleeping bags, or rent from us.
---The Blue Bedroom has a double bed in it, as does the Hippie Van. Both have either air conditioners or heaters as needed.
---The Big Yellow Bus has a queen bed and two sets of bunk beds in addition to a wood stove, air conditioner, small refrigerator, and a microwave.
---Braden's Brown Bus has a double bed and a futon, air conditioner, sink and a small refrigerator.
---The Hippie Van is a painted VW van with the seats removed and a double bed built in. AC and Heat are available.
Some of the fun we create on the farm includes:
---Super-deluxe horseshoe pit and dart board
---Lots of rural roads, paved and unpaved for bike riding (bring your own bike)
--- Smallish pond with a beach for swimming
---Creek for wading and looking for fossils
---Several fire-pits with seating
---Lots of shaded sitting areas for visiting and flowers for viewing
---Mowed trails through the woods
---Lawn games including lighted bocce ball
---Playground equipment and a large sandbox for the kids
---Cows, pigs, ducks, geese, turkeys, and chickens at various stages of growth depending upon the time of year.
---If the weather is right, an ice skating rink

A hidden gem in Topeka, KS. Roughly 44 acres and 41 buildings and cabins for your stay. We have a creek that runs through the property and you can bring your kayak or fishing poles. We also have roughly 3 miles of wooded trails for you to explore. There is a playground for the kids to play on, a basketball court, and a sand volleyball pit. This is very camp at the lake style. Bedding is not included for camp bunk beds. Cabins do not have restrooms built in, but we have shower houses on site for you to use. They do have electricity, heat, and air conditioning. We have grills on site for cooking as well as a bon fire pit to enjoy smore's. Dream Acres at Forest Park is 4 miles away from Lake Shawnee. The World-Famous Topeka Zoo is 5 miles from the park. Bill and Nancy were so kind, you can tell how much work and care they put into their property over the last 40 years to make it a magical experience with an emphasis on kids and families in mind. I loved going down to the creek with the kids and looking for fossils(there is an abundance of unique fossils!) skipping rocks, and jumping across the stepping stones. Watching my son and his friend play so freely made me feel extremely nostalgic, we live in the suburbs and theres not as many opportunities to allow the kids to run around and have free reign the way they were able to on the farm. I got to talk to the owners for a while and hear some of their story, each and every facet of the property has a unique history and personal story behind it, you can feel the memories made in the space. Bill is a very handy craftsman and artist and he was behind many of the structures on the farm along with other creatives over the years. We brought our two small dogs and they did a great job keeping pets in mind with the design, we had a fenced yard that the dogs could stay in while we explored, unfortunately one of our kiddos left our gate open and one of our dogs got out later in the evening, I messaged the owners and they got up and found my dog! I was really worried because of how open the space was. Truly wonderful people, and a truly wonderful farm with many opportunities for family fun and interacting with nature. 10/10 would recommend.

Weekend Trip to Saddle Ridge Retreats
We absolutely loved our experience here!! The hosts were above and beyond friendly and helpful and the site was gorgeous. It felt private, and we truly enjoyed having the horses and cattle wondering nearby. We took a hike around the property, floated in the canoe, and relaxed around the campfire. The silo was clean, rustic and cozy. Stellar experience, we will definitely be returning!!

Unique stay under the stars and close by to many nice trails. Host was kind and communicative. Rained on our last day but was fun to sleep in and watch the rain come down on the glass ceiling. Had lots of deer visitors. Great fall stay.

What a wonderful little space! I stayed with one other camper and the accommodations were perfect! The “nest” you’ll be staying in is beautiful decorated, cozy, and very comfortable.
The land is gorgeous, private, and has almost everything you’ll need for an outdoor stay including a fire pit, plenty of seating, a small outdoor toilet space, and some good forest views ✨
I appreciated that there are some good hiking trails located around the area that you can drive to quickly. If you want to find more excursions, the host has a book in the nest that outlines all sorts of fun things to do in the area!
Overall, a really great experience perfect for solo, couples, or small groups!

Everything about this place is awesome. The hosts, the playground, the creek, the tree house, the dogs, the sunsets. Bill and Nancy are amazing people! Jacques and Angie are the sweetest doggies, and Jacques' trail guiding is top notch! Myself and the 4 10/11 year old boys who stayed overnight are all ready to come back again very soon!

It’s just a crazy, fun time when we visit this place. The uniqueness of each structure, the honest, simplicity of it all is so very special.
Our children & grandchildren were thrilled to get out & explore the beautiful, pastoral, Kansas countryside. The yellow school bus & pond are the true highlights for them. But the new treehouse & swing near the sandbox were also a hit.
I enjoyed the expansive sky filled with stars, the outdoor shower & of course the quacking ducks as they slide down into their own personal kiddie pool.
The hosts are generous & extremely accommodating & share wonderful stories…just like family.
I’m sure we will be back a third time!

We (family of 4) were traveling from south LA to Badlands national park and needed a stop over that didn’t require setting up our tent. It was perfect. Wish we could’ve explored more but it lightly rained all night and while we packed back up in the morning. Bill was super sweet and helpful!! Jacques, their lab, is also super sweet! Safe and quiet. The white bus was just a little small however the mattresses were so comfy and so far on our road trip camping and even at an Airbnb they were the most comfortable. We got a great night of sleep!

If you're looking to stay on a farm this is the place! Our children loved all of the activities - multiple swings, trampoline, pond, creek, tree house, and looking at all of the animals. The buses could have been a little cleaner but they have AC so that's nice for the hot days.

Jon and Pat were amazing hosts. Responsive and helpful. We absolutely loved our stay here and will be back. The free roaming horses and cows were incredible. We woke up to horses grazing steps from our door. It was unreal, quiet, and peaceful. Just what we needed.
