Susan was lovely, she came out to meet us and showed us different remote sites. Due to our tent size (6 person) we chose the first one. All the sites were nice and remote. 2 sites by the stream are on the smaller size so take account. You can see the stars clearly at night! Had a nice small fire going The chickens run from you 😂 and the goats like ear and butt scratches.

This place is my go to get away. Susan is one of a kind and helped us with everything we needed including fire wood, a wheelbarrow, and a lighter to get the fire going. Alongside the beautiful land there are animals and amazing hiking trails. This place is one of a kind and would recommend to anyone.

2 nights at Bare Ass Acres

We chose Bare Ass Acres for its excellent reviews and for its proximity to the Tall Grass Prairie National Preserve. The good reputation is well deserved: Brenda is a very welcoming host, the sites are fairly flat, with water and electricity, and availability of sewer. You can hear the train, but it certainly didn't keep us awake. We stayed 2 nights. Brenda, we enjoyed our conversations. If we ever travel to this area again we will definitely stay at this hipcamp again.

Weekend Trip to Dry Creek Post

We loved our stay at the Sparrow tent. The tent was very large, well-decorated, and comfortable to sleep in. We were able to cook up a great breakfast and enjoy it in the darling outside eating area. The hosts were great and met all our needs. We would highly recommend staying here.

Christine opens up her place for Unbound Gravel. I decided to “rough” it and camp. She’s got the best kept secret at Unbound because I felt like I was staying in a hotel!!! Great place and great family, highly recommended!!

Came into town for Unbound gravel. Christine and her family were so welcoming. As soon as we arrived we were welcomed and shown around. The camp sites were on a beautiful farm close to the interstate with easy access. Would definitely stay here again.

2 nights at Unbound Gravel Ranch

Amazing tent sites on unbound weekend! We were lucky to find them at the super last minute. Loved the pretty view and inside garage/barn area with a bathroom, kitchen (with fridge access), comfy couches, and seating area. The great breakfast on race morning was a fun bonus! My only suggestion - and what we will do next year when we come back - is to bring ear plugs as the highway is super close and obviously super loud. Overall a great camping spot!!

Weekend Trip to Unbound Gravel Ranch

Beautiful land and a great spot to hang out with other riders. The man cave was much better than described. Christine even provided breakfast, even though she was biking the 200 herself. There was even a bike wash! Traffic noise from the interstate was a little loud in my tent, but wouldn’t be as bad in a camper. Next time, I’ll bring ear plugs. We enjoyed seeing lightning bugs in the evening and a beautiful sunrise.

I’m a 73 year-old man. Never thought I could go camping again. This place has all the amenities and the people there are fantastic. Beautiful and green and serene. I highly recommend it.
