We are a small hobby farm on five acres just outside the town of Brownsburg. You’ll wake up to goats peeking in your windows and chickens laying fresh eggs for breakfast out back. The small tiny house is located behind our private residence.  It is completely fenced in if you happen to be traveling with a furry friend of your own.  You’re welcome to walk in the field, roast s’mores over the fire pit, or just visit with the barn cats.

If you 're looking for a bright and cozy *on the grid/ off the grid* scenario, our casita/little studio apartment with all of the necessary furnishings for a weekend away may be the perfect spot for you and yours! 

Located in the historic neighborhood of Irvington on the east side of Indianapolis, the spaces is fully furnished and warmly insulated with A/C/heat mini split, internet, electric, microwave, toaster oven, mini-fridge, drinking water, composting toilet and water basin. 

We love this third space in the beauty of our backyard and are happy to host folks who are looking for an off-the-grid but on-the-grid alternative stay while visiting Indianapolis!

We really loved this cabin and farm! Right out back is tons of space to camp, hammock, walk through the woods or wade through the creek. So wonderful!

Heritage Farm Stay Adventure

Enjoy a stay at Heritage Farm and experience all the exhilaration that an Indiana farm has to offer. Heritage Farm is a working alpaca farm with over 50 alpacas you can watch and interact with. Also residing on the farm are a flock of chickens, several goats and a horse. The newest addition to the farm is a pain of small breed Kune Kune pigs!  If you want to, you can help with the daily chores of feeding the animals and collecting eggs. After that, you can explore the big red barn that was selected as one of the top-ten Bicentennial barns in the state. Roam around the 120 acre homestead, woods and creek and soak in the sights, sounds and smells of the farm.  Be sure to visit our farm store before you leave where you can shop for alpaca products such as sweaters, hats, mittens and scarves.  Pick up some honey made from bees on our farm or some farm fresh eggs from our flock of pastured chickens!

Heritage Farm has several options for overnight lodging.  One of the most popular places to stay is in our authentic 1850's log cabin. And it's certainly special to us as well. The cabin represents a valued part of our heritage. It reminds us every day of our agricultural roots, solid values and the importance of faith and family.

Our Christian faith is important to us. We have been so richly blessed with this farm and sharing it with others is what God has called us to do. We strive to show God's love to our guests by exceeding their needs and expectations and by inviting them to enjoy his beautiful creation.

Heavenly Acres Creek side Camp

We provide a hands on educational experience with a variety of animals, crafts and

farm operations or you can simply relax in a quiet farm setting next to the creek and enjoy the view.

 Our site is a short 10 minute drive to town or the highway (65 and 74) with the exceptional bonus of peace and tranquility of the country.

Nice walking trail around the property.  Enjoy sight and sounds of the creek. As well as, walking next to the animals in the pasture.

Mud Creek Campgrounds

Woods, water flowing through the creek, sounds of nature, privacy...all reasons we moved our family from the city. We hope that you too will enjoy exploring the woods, fishing in the creek, and hearing the sounds of nature as you sleep under the stars.

Our campground is a primitive wooded spot 1.8 miles east of Ruoff (Deer Creek) Music Center amphitheater. Limited camp sites for select concert dates will be available; campers must be over 18, have picture identification (driver's license or passport), and sign a waiver. Other nearby activities include Top Golf, outdoor shopping mall, Connor Prairie historical museum, and canoeing the White River. We are less than five minutes from I-69.

Apple acres

My Great great grandfather purchased the land in 1834, I am the 5th generation on this farm. Areas first apple orchard started in 1910-1990 now a wedding venue with beautiful scenery. The retired apple orchard still has trees with vast walking trails between the rows. Amazing wildlife!
