Our Creekside Cabin is located on the Wildcat Creek about 15 minutes from Lafayette and 10 minutes to either Delphi or Rossville. This cabin was originally built on our farm as an alternative to camping on the ground in a tent. While we don’t consider this to be “glamping,” it is certainly a step above “primitive.”

 12’x12’ of living space

 Limited supply of off-grid electricity 

 Kitchen counter with running cold water (Mar-Oct only)

 Toilet (Mar-Oct only)

 Mr. Buddy propane heater (use at your own risk)

Our goal is to provide a relaxing and peaceful getaway for those that enjoy all that nature has to offer in Indiana with a few creature comforts beyond primitive tent camping. Loud music, drunkenness, rowdiness, firearms, motor vehicles, disruptive children, and anything else that would be a distraction to other guests or neighbors will not be permitted.

We really loved this cabin and farm! Right out back is tons of space to camp, hammock, walk through the woods or wade through the creek. So wonderful!

Heritage Farm Stay Adventure

Enjoy a stay at Heritage Farm and experience all the exhilaration that an Indiana farm has to offer. Heritage Farm is a working alpaca farm with over 50 alpacas you can watch and interact with. Also residing on the farm are a flock of chickens, several goats and a horse. The newest addition to the farm is a pain of small breed Kune Kune pigs!  If you want to, you can help with the daily chores of feeding the animals and collecting eggs. After that, you can explore the big red barn that was selected as one of the top-ten Bicentennial barns in the state. Roam around the 120 acre homestead, woods and creek and soak in the sights, sounds and smells of the farm.  Be sure to visit our farm store before you leave where you can shop for alpaca products such as sweaters, hats, mittens and scarves.  Pick up some honey made from bees on our farm or some farm fresh eggs from our flock of pastured chickens!

Heritage Farm has several options for overnight lodging.  One of the most popular places to stay is in our authentic 1850's log cabin. And it's certainly special to us as well. The cabin represents a valued part of our heritage. It reminds us every day of our agricultural roots, solid values and the importance of faith and family.

Our Christian faith is important to us. We have been so richly blessed with this farm and sharing it with others is what God has called us to do. We strive to show God's love to our guests by exceeding their needs and expectations and by inviting them to enjoy his beautiful creation.

We have built this up to become a Wildlife Habitat Certified by the National Wildlife Federation.

Bring your own tent (This is a tent only campground and Primitive)  and enjoy the 5 acres of land that is Certified by the National Wildlife Federation. There are two Nearby  Lakes, there is the Mississinewa Reservoir and the Salamone Reservoir, there are beaches to lay at and swimming allowed, both of these places are not far from StarCountryAcres Wildlife Habitat. Less than 25 miles.

Bring a GPS to find these two lakes. 

If you love watching birds then this is the place to see them, bring your binoculars,scopes and camera's.

In the summer you can enjoy the two big Montmorency Cherry Trees, pick and eat all you want.

There are also Raspberry Blackberry Bushes you can pick in mid July.

Campers can enjoy the Apple Trees and the Grapes in first week of August.

What more can a camper want than Fresh berries to pick with your pancakes in the morning! Summer/Fall time only.

There is now a 24x8 Screen house, it has a table and chairs and also a bench, on the other end of the screenhouse there is a POTTY. The screen house is for campers who want to eat and not have to worry about bugs buzzing around their food. We have tables an chairs in the screen room.

Literally the perfect place to pitch a tent! I chose the most secluded area!

I am so in love with the amount of colors in the brush, its such a beautiful wildlife refuge!

Walnut Valley Realm

Camping like it was meant to be!  Come stay with us and explore one of the largest privately owned certified forest in Indiana.   Many of our sites are spread out so far you will feel like you are the only ones here.  We have 4 electric sites with the rest primitive. Over 5 miles of hiking trails, and if you prefer cycling, local roads are part of the Two Rivers on Two Wheel bike route. If Kayaking is your thing, explore the Eel River, or the Tippecanoe.  We hope we see you all soon!

Heavenly Acres Creek side Camp

We provide a hands on educational experience with a variety of animals, crafts and

farm operations or you can simply relax in a quiet farm setting next to the creek and enjoy the view.

 Our site is a short 10 minute drive to town or the highway (65 and 74) with the exceptional bonus of peace and tranquility of the country.

Nice walking trail around the property.  Enjoy sight and sounds of the creek. As well as, walking next to the animals in the pasture.
