We bought this one acre property tucked in the corner of the woods a little more than 2 years ago from the family who built it and lived here for 69 years. It was all original since 1946! The dairy and the farmland around us has been family-owned for over 100 years! Our little acre has become a sweet little hidden secret to all who visit. Quiet and beautiful, yet close to all the quaintness Fort Wayne has to offer. The sunrises are amazing! For nature lovers, there are so many different birds that frequent our trees, even an occasional Bald Eagle! We have renovated the tiny shed into an occasional repurpose shop and now are opening it up for a comfortable glamping spot! We continue to work on renovating our home to eventually welcome more guests. We feel like God saved this sweet spot just for us, so we can't help but share it with others! We booked with Dean and Nancy for New Year's and had such a lovely stay! It was quiet, peaceful, and comfortable. There is heating, hot water in the detached bath, and ample space for infant equipment and our bassinet. It was some of the prettiest lodging I've ever seen, especially all decked out in seasonal decor. 10/10, plus bonus points for the free snacks and coffee, tea and cocoa.

Our stay at this cabin was truly lovely. The space felt cozy and private, even with the kids enjoying the loft upstairs. It had everything we needed, and we really appreciated how peaceful and comfortable it was.
The only challenge we experienced was with communication. When an unexpected winter storm came through, we reached out twice to ask whether we could extend our stay for an extra night. We weren’t from the area and were concerned about driving in unsafe conditions. The host responded to other parts of my messages but did not acknowledge the question about availability, which left us unsure how to plan. We ultimately chose to leave early and book an Airbnb for safety.
Overall, the cabin itself was wonderful, but clearer communication during situations like this would have made the experience even better.

Our 2nd stay was fantastic like our first! This time it was a bit chilly at night. A efficient space heater was supplied. It kept the tent toasty!
We also noticed a update to the fire pit! It worked fabulously for our camp cooking needs as well as enjoyable warm campfire nights.
The fall leaves were beautiful and still provided a private camp experience. Love the attention to detail provided by Tim (host). Thankful for great hosts willing to share their property for hipcamp customers!

We really enjoyed staying at Creekside. Ariel is an outstanding hostess and was very helpful. The cottage is adorable and comfortable. Since we went in October, we did not need to use the AC or the heater. If I had to find anything at all to criticize, it’s that there’s no running water, so be sure to bring plenty of water to douse your fire at the end of the night. Otherwise, it was a very pleasant place to stay for getting away from the sound of the Interstate in your backyard. There’s plenty of dining options nearby (we decided to try Mr. Weenie.) There was a well stocked grocery just a bit further down from the drive in.
If you bring your dog(s) be prepared for them to get anxious when the coyotes come out at night.

We absolutely loved our 1st glamping stay! All other glamping must live up to this! It will be a high bar. You can tell the host put their love for camping into every detail. Can't wait for our future planned stays!

Clean, comfortable. Multiple outlets. I loved having the view of the sky in the tent. Slept very good!

Clean, hot water, good water pressure. It's a working bathroom in the middle of a private camp!

All mulch easy to keep clean. Effective fire pit and cook surface. Plenty of dry wood for use. Loved the hammocks available to hang. Nicely lit for easy use. Multiple electric outlets. 2 pie makers, and grill basket.

Looked exactly like the pictures…the lights were on when we arrived as it was already dark and lit up. The directions were clear and the site was easy to find. Every detail was taken into careful consideration. Bug spray, hammocks, seating, nightstands, a/c (which we didn’t need!) it was super cute and cozy! Loved having a fully functional bathroom. We will definitely return if we are ever back in the area. Thank you!
Oh, and we absolutely loved the Firefly Coffee Shop. We chose it to stick with the theme of the Hipcamp. Highly recommend!

Dean and Nancy have created a truly magical little space! We travelled almost two hours to spend the night there, and go to the dairy, which is about 20 seconds away!
The tiny shed exceeded our expectations in every way, as the vibe was amazingly cozy and warm. Christmas decor was so beautiful and we loved looking at all the little details around the space.
She is an amazing baker, to boot! Fresh cookies, coffee, creamer, and waters awaited us.
We will for sure be back!
