In 2016 we decided to bite the bullet, sell our city home, and move out into the country to fulfill our dream of owning a bit of property! We lucked into a charming country home on a calming 2.5 acres. We are surrounded by 80 foot cottonwoods, with deer bounding through the neighborhood, owls frequently hooting and pheasants calling for a mate. This home is a dream come true for us! In the course of this lifestyle change, we stumbled upon the idea that we could own alpacas, one of the softest animals in the world, and our numbers are growing with crias (baby alpacas) due each year! Join us for some peaceful tranquility at Windbreak Farm Alpacas, where if the wild winds of Idaho are blowing, you can still enjoy the outdoors! Pull your camper into the quiet serene grounds of Windbreak Farm Alpacas, our camp site is shaded from the afternoon heat by 80’ cottonwoods, and the alpacas, and especially dogs will Love to Welcome you to our little piece of paradise! While you’re here discover the surrounding area's vast options for outdoor play, all within a 5-60 minute drive. We have water available to fill tanks and power is available in “Extras” for $10 per night. We also have room for 1 more small camper up to 4 vehicles in the same party. If you would like to book the second camper, message me and I can open up a second site for the same party. Please check in before 8:30pm.

The farm consists of rolling green irrigated pasture with seasonally grazing cattle and pivot irrigated farm ground. At the center of the farm is a family home with a market garden selling fresh grown produce and raising laying hens with fresh eggs. All produce is grown with loving care to be nutritionally dense and free from any chemical sprays. Farm Fresh eggs are available on the property. Roots and Grow is centrally located to St. Anthony Sand Dunes, Yellowstone National Park, Grand Targhee ski resort, and Grand Teton National Park. This beautiful area is also well known for world class fly fishing and many outdoor activities! Come visit us and see for yourself the majestic beauty of Southeast Idaho, the Teton Valley and local National Parks!
