Domes near Sandpoint

For wooded tent camping sites, head to the Idaho Panhandle National Forests. The fire pits at Green Bay are perfect for s’mores. At Sam Owen near Clark Fork, swim from the sandy beach and use the boat ramp. If you want to camp for free, head to Whiskey Rock Bay. Hikers and bikers shouldn’t miss Priest Lake State Park. In the winter, book a cabin and snowshoe through the silent forest. Winter storms can come on quickly; warm gear and a 4WD vehicle can keep you comfortable.
