Enjoy the private bedroom, full size tub and shower.

Norm's Hideaway

Experience a stay at our eco-friendly ohana back house, nestled amidst lush plants and nature. The room has been transformed from a shed into a charming 1-bedroom guest house with an outdoor bath and shower. Constructed using reclaimed materials, the dwelling is adorned with succulents, fruit trees, and cacti. Additionally, we have three laying hens in a coop on the property. Friendly neighbors reside on either side, and our grounds extend to a 10-acre macadamia nut orchard.

Located just 8 minutes from the captivating Pololu Valley, a must-see destination on the Big Island, and a mere 10 minutes from Kapaau and Hawi towns.

This rental is aptly named after our dog, Norman, who often roams the yard and might invite you to join in a game of fetch.

The space boasts a comfortable queen-sized bed with a charging station, along with amenities such as a mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker, and two small fans.

We are an adult only facility, no children under the age of 18 are allowed. This is primarily for safety reasons, and for the comfort of all our adult guests.
We have been the stewards of this aina for over 21 years. When we purchased it in 2002, there were only several varieties of fruit, now there are over 30 and growing. We make our own soil, and have trucked in many hundreds of truckloads of mulch to do that, and constantly make soil with our composting efforts. We are on a dormant volcano, Hualalai, that last erupted in 1801. The weather is ideal for growing most types of tropical fruit and many varieties of vegetables.

Love shack

In town yet tucked away in the south part of Kona town . Pretty rustic , dry plant environment at times, uneven trail , with awkward steps leading to a shack under trees with just dirt and plants underneath them , with only a twin bed in cabin  with plywood walls ( not recommended for tall people)and window screen and steal roof , one light and power strip . A door that opens to a futon bed . There is a Frig and out door cooking area . Shared bathroom or compost toilet, have to park block away. 

There is another area

 that is a ground floor room , in the parking area, in a old Hawaiian house with 2 twin beds and a twin sofa bed, and indoor cooking area,  shared bathroom parking space

on a long uneven path around the back of an old Hawaiian rustic house, with a deck and outdoor cooking area, twin bed and twin futon couch bed
