Welcome to beautiful Aiken County SC! We are a small homestead/farm 10 miles north of the wonderful little city of Aiken. Our clothing optional farm offers access to sandy roads for riding horses and 4 wheelers, a sand pit is also close by for some exciting 4 wheeler action. Our travel trailer is situated next to the house but offers a private refuge. Pets are allowed but we have livestock guardian dogs so they must be leashed. The trailer sports a queen memory foam mattress and full amenities with accommodations for other sleepers on fold outs. There is a fire pit in our front yard and option of propane pit for the canopy area by the trailer.
Guests are welcome to experience small farm life, we have chickens, of course, turkeys Jacob Sheep, Kunekune pigs and 4 Central Asian Sheppard LDG's and plenty of fresh garden raised food. In summer months we can and freeze dry our foods as well as local peaches, strawberries, blue berries and make Muscadine wine.
Lakes, hiking, Revolutionary War sites are all close by for your outdoor adventures. Bring you wheeler/dirt bike and horses and see what the Midlands of SC has to offer.

If you are interested we have farm tours and horse grooming opportunities available. These are extra so be sure to let us know in advance if you are interested.
We do have a fire pit on the property that you are welcome to use, as well as a charcoal grill. You are responsible for bringing your own charcoal, lighters, etc. If you need wood bundles please let us know.
We are located appx 20 minutes from Lake Thurmond and several well-known golf courses.
The entire property is a no-smoking zone. This includes cigarettes, vape pens, etc. This is also a non-drinking zone. No alcohol of any kind is allowed on the premises. These rules are set in place for the safety of my family and my animals.
Please let us know if there is anything you need before your arrival and we do our best to accommodate you. For your convenience there is a Dollar General located one mile down the road.

With kids
We loved our trip. The hosts went above and beyond to have us have a comfortable stay. I have two toddlers, and it rained a majority of our trip, but would you believe that they set up a busy box for our toddlers so that they could have activities to do inside the camper?? So generous.
The bed was comfortable, the hot water was piping hot, the string lights were perfect. We really had no complaints. It was very quiet and relaxing! We had a great time. Highly recommend. We will be back!!!!

Weekend Trip to Hesed Homestead
We enjoyed our stay at this secluded RV sight!
What we loved
❤️ The RV was CLEAN and so cute!
❤️ Clean sheets, towels, and water bottles were provided
❤️ Directions were clear
❤️ Jessie’s communication was great
❤️ That beautiful sunrise view
❤️The AC is fabulous
❤️ We were alone and totally unbothered during our stay
❤️ Lovely bird sounds in the morning
❤️ All the little reading lights inside the RV were very helpful
❤️ The lawn chairs were quite comfy for watching the sunrise
❤️Affordable price
Some side notes
•There were a few little gnats/bugs in the bathroom but that didn’t bother us
•I had read about their spring-fed pond and the possibility for swimming and kayaking, sadly, their kayaks don’t exist anymore due to Helene and I don’t really recommend swimming in the pond—it was very muddy and warm (we tried) If there is some way they could make the pond nicer, it could be a big perk

1 night at Hesed Homestead
Great experience. This RV was clean and comfortable. You can tell that Jessie has put alot of care and love into making this RV a special place for her guests. Bed linens and clean towels are provided. I enjoyed sitting by the firepit and relaxing. The homeowners are far enough away that the RV feel private but they are just a phone call away if you need them. The homeowners were kind enough to come show me how to work the heat. The property is quiet and peaceful. I would certainly stay here again.

Where to go
Mistletoe State Park
This recreation area, which is home to Clarks Hill Lake, is known for its bass fishing. But that’s not all this park entails. In fact, Mistletoe State Park, about 45 minutes from downtown Augusta, offers sandy beaches, shady walking paths, and cool creeks. There are also a number of cabins, cottages, and RV sites for campers, as well as backcountry and group campsites. You can also take out boats or canoes (available to rent for overnight guests) on one of the region’s largest lakes.
Diamond Lakes Regional Park
Diamond Lakes is situated in Georgia’s Sand Hills region—a rolling, green landscape with forests and water features that are ripe for exploring. This park is a great jumping point to explore the region, with its tennis and basketball courts, fishing ponds, sand volleyball pit, picnic areas, community center, public library, and campsites. With no shortage of options for activity, Diamond Lakes is great for both day use and overnight camping.
Lake Olmstead
This lake is right in Augusta and offers both motorized and non-motorized boating. The lakefront is great for picnicking and enjoying the day, while a gazebo and walking track offer additional activity options. Another way to enjoy this lake is to kayak the Augusta canal, a trip with the Savannah River Rapids Park that takes you on a journey through the local areas and ends at Lake Olmstead.
When to go
Like other places in the southern United States, the best time to visit Georgia is in the spring and fall. During these times, the weather is cooler but still warm, so you can camp and enjoy water activities without the freezing temperatures of winter nights, nor the scorching hot days of summer.
