Our favorite way to access is by boat- launching at the West Bay bridge in Panama City and running down the intracoastal waterway into the bay. When accessing our property by vehicle, be prepared to drive 17 miles off of highway 79 with a 4 mile portion of that being a dirt road. We can not guarantee the condition of the dirt road portion of your drive for your stay, however the dirt road is graded weekly. Enjoy the seclusion of this area while still being in close proximity to Panama City Beach and 30A. Pier Park in Panama City Beach is where you can find the nearest grocery stores, shopping and restaurants in a 35-40 min drive from the home. Once you are here, its likely you will want to stay and not leave though so bring plenty of good meals to cook and enjoy! This spot was beautiful, quiet, and a centralized location for trips to multiple springs. The accommodations were comfortable and clean. The outdoor kitchen was fantastic and the fire pit was perfect for hanging out at the end of the day. The outdoor shower was amazing! It was easy to find with the directions provided, and Ron was very responsive and quick to reply. Thank you for sharing this wonderful spot 🙂

Weekend Trip to The Wandering Path

The property was beautiful! The accommodations were all very nice from the bathrooms and kitchen area to the campsites themselves. Very clean and very beautiful. Highly recommend taking the kayak trip and bringing some floaties/boogie boards for the river. Amanda is a great communicator and extremely nice, 10/10 recommend and will definitely be coming back! The campsites are spaced out nicely so they aren’t too far away from one another but far enough to enjoy the peace and quiet, great for groups or couples!

It was nice and quiet, very enjoyable. We had a great time in the pools. And everything we needed was there for us.

Gene was an EXCELLENT host for this little get away. He even took us for a boat ride out in the lake! I highly recommend this spot as he and his military memorabilia are something to admire while soaking in the views from the breezeway bar outside :) Definitely plan to get out this way again!!!

Each site is secluded enough yet close enough to what we love about Glamping. Everything was clean. The camp site wasn't full of weeds and she offered advance notice of bugs and ways to stay guarded during our stay.

Weekend Trip to Glamping In Paradise

We had such an amazing stay! The property is so beautiful. We loved walking around the garden, sitting by the fire and grilling. They had a bunch of fresh herbs and fruits. The blue berries were my favorite. There is an outdoor shower and port a potty to use both very clean. We really loved the outdoor shower. We came to this area to visit the natural springs nearby. We went to Morrison and Ponce de Leon and they were beautiful and very close by. There is so much to do in the area making this a great spot. The owners are so so kind and welcoming. You can tell they put a lot of thought and care into the spot.

4 nights at Larry & Sheila's Blackwater Getaway

This was a beautiful and tranquil spot. Lush green and waterfront area, gracious hosts and the cabin was perfect to relax and take a break from ‘busy life’. Larry and Sheila were more than accommodating. The cabin was perfectly stocked and spotless upon arrival. I enjoyed my time so much, I extended another week! Thanks Larry and Sheila. 4 nights at Topsail Outfitters

We enjoyed our four nights at tent site T7. The tent is huge with plenty of room for your stuff The hanging lights are a nice touch. The bed is comfy and the AC and fan made it comfortable to sleep at night. During the day the AC couldn’t really keep up with the heat (end of May) but we didn’t spend much time in the tent in the day. It rained a lot two nights and there were no issues with leaks. We used the propane grill and it has some tongs and a spatula which were perfect for cooking. We hung up our hammock on the posts that were there too which was nice to watch the bunnies on the morning. Bathroom was clean and very close. Loved taking the bikes to the beach and on the paths, and then hiking some too. A Must do is the Morris Lake hiking trail if you can, as you get to hike through the dunes and it was so beautiful and we walked right out to the beach at one point. The beach is gorgeous and the backdrop of the dunes is perfect, instead of condos and beach house rentals compared to other beaches in the area. The park itself is well supplied with everything you might need, there is even a little coffee breakfast cafe that opens at 8 am. Bring bikes if you have them, or you can rent them there too. I did find out only after booking through Hipcamp that you can book direct with Topsail Hill Outfitters and they include two bike rentals with your stay, which would have been nice to have that perk.

The Wandering Path is an amazing and peaceful getaway. The yurts offer the perfect setup for any season and eliminates a lot of packing. Amanda’s property has everything you need…the cleanest bathhouse I have yet to see and an awesome communal outdoor kitchen. There are primitive sites as well. The creek that runs along the property is crystal clear water with white sand banks throughout. It is deep enough to kayak or shallow enough to walk in and enjoy. The Wandering Path is the ultimate getaway location!
